- It's Master Duel... but with CUBES!
What's a cube? It's essentially a big custom pack that players can draft from.
This episode's cube is called Battle Pack 2: War of the Giants: Round 3, because its themed after the old Battle Pack draft sets, and features a similar playstyle centered around tribute summoning big monsters.

And Hardleg could've survived the last game if he read Leraje closer and if MBT misplayed slightly. Since Leraje can't attack the turn it activates it's effect, Diabond could've dodged the destruction by reducing Votis' attack to 0, and then when MBT swings with 7 Colored Fish, Hardleg can activate Wonder Wheel to swap the attack and defense to reduce the damage down to 800, surviving with 100 life points (though it is also possible that in that situation MBT would've just normal summoned the Eda, but it's also possible that he would've just blindly charged into the battle phase assuming 7 Colored Fish would be lethal. We can't ever really know for certain).

Sad we didn't get to see The Wicked Dreadroot or Greed Quasar in action, I love my YGO R boys. Seeing Gogiga Gagagigo and Terrorking Salmon in action was a pleasant blast from the blast, though! Fun episode :)
Gogiga Gagagigo holds a special place in my heart with all the big vanilla's no one ever used.
He is pretty playable in Umi control.

If Yu-Gi-Oh packs were designed around playing drafts over hunting for chase cards, the card shops wouldn't have such a hard time selling their boxes. And there'd be a LOT more people pulling for cards, meaning singles would NOT be anywhere near as much of a headache for people to get their hands on.

Fun Fact! If you activate Diabound Kernel's effect DURING THE DAMAGE STEP IN WHICH HE IS ATTACKED (instead of on attack declaration), a replay will not occur, and that attack will be wasted. You can use this to blank 1 attack completely while also nerfing the attack of another monster, giving you much better survivability.
I built a draft cube and a custom ruleset for it once.
The cube setlist centered around heiratic dragons and various other dragon support with a ton of generic staples.
It worked really well, because the heiratic dragons are arguably the most flexible archetype in the game. They have access to a ton of different levels, so synchro plays and xyz stuff is all on the table.
My friends and I had a lot of fun for a while and then we kinda just forgot about it.

been loving the cubes so far, i hope we get more in the future. i don't know how feasible it is to do online, but if possible i'd really like to see other 2 player draft formats like solomon draft and winston draft
