She is also very delicate. The lashes turn great every single time, and I love to be able to rest for an hour and a half while she does it!😃

I love having eyelash extensions, but I hate the process of getting them done because no one is as comforting and kind as you are! I dread the taping of the eye part, and some lash artists aren’t patient with me and visibly get annoyed if I have a little trouble with that part. I’ve also had lash artists pull at my natural lashes super hard and drop their tools on my face! I understand that accidents happen, but it can be very uncomfortable having your eyes closed and trusting someone to not hurt you lol. Also, your client’s comfort should be your absolute number one priority! Just thought I’d share that with you. You did a great job.
Thank you for your kind words! Client care is super important and number one at our salon and it is what I teach my students as well. The eyes are a super sensitive part of someone's face so I'm sorry your lash artists in the past haven't been as careful as they should have been!

Question! How do you know which false lash to apply to their natural lash?. I’ve recently been interested in learning to apply eye lash extensions but I’m so confused how how you know which lashes to apply to. Thank you so much !!!
It really depends on the client's natural lashes and the look they are going for - we have a lot of tutorials on mapping and more info on why we chose the lashes we did for specific looks if you want to check them out!
I’ve done a few free sets on my family just to practice... my first client who is actually paying for her set I’m really nervous even tho I know what to do! I don’t want to make any mistakes. I’m watching this video to freshen up ❤️
I appreciate you teaching us how to talk to clients to make sure they’re comfortable! It’s so important. And some people (like me) have a hard time getting words out especially if i’m nervous. She said everything the perfect way.
hi ! I love your videos btw. I have a question...my apologies if you explained it already but why did you put so much glue on some of the lashes and dipped so far in? I am new to lashing . thank you!
Hey! For Classic lashes, I prefer to dip more of the lash in, especially since her natural lashes are so long, I wanted to make sure the base of the extension bonds! I would definitely use only a touch of glue if it were volume fans, but for classic lashes a bit more is okay!
learning lash tech here🙋🏻♀️ how do you know what size lash to place where ? i think where i’m struggling most is knowing where to place each size lash so that it doesn’t look messy
I am always curious to see what my lash technician is doing when my eyes are closed. I love how you thoroughly go over lash health and due diligence of checking. I think another thing that is slept on is when someone wants a particular look and the lash technician says that is not recommended because your lash will not support that look.
Hey Song, Thank you so much for your comment! And you are definitely right - there has to be a balance between wanting to give your client what they want but also being realistic to make sure the lash extensions don't damage the natural lashes. Thankfully there are super thin lashes like 0.03 volume lashes that you can use to create fans without it being too heavy so that's definitely been a great tool to have on hand for clients who want a super dramatic look but have thinner or shorter lashes.
I just love how vocal you are to your clients. I hope i have a beautician like you for my first time because that tape looks a little intimidating Edit: the way that lash sat perfect at 7:51 was so satisfying
Sorry that wasn't included in the video! I love using the Neutrogena eye makeup remover if there is a lot of makeup residue, Then I use the Yegi Beauty Lash Foam Cleanser to clean the lashes and then I prime with our primer. Once I dry the lashes with the fan I start the application process! If there isn't too much makeup residue, you can skip the makeup remover and just go for the cleanser and primer!
You’re such a good teacher & so thorough! Im trying to learn how to do them on myself because getting them done got too expensive for me & this video has been really helpful :)
Wow! You have the hands of a surgeon lady! I can’t believe you are able to do that with those long nails, makes it even more amazing. Excellent video tutorial, thank you!
I’m kind of confused on how you know where to place the lashes and what size to use.Do you just do it randomly until it’s looks good or is there a certain method?
Hey! It really depends on the look you're going for as well as the client's lashes. There are different shapes you can create - the one in this video is a doll eye where the inner and outer corners are shorter and the middle is longer, creating a round shape. A good rule of thumb is to not go too much longer or thicker than the client's natural lashes to avoid damage. We have a lot of videos that specify mapping if you want to check those out and get more info. Thanks for watching!
Hey! Most clients will get a fill every 2-3 weeks to maintain the look they get. And cost varies from lash artist to lash artist :) A Classic set like this can range from $100 to $250 depending on location and experience of the lash artist.
You make this look sooo easy. I struggle to separate the hair, especially when the hair grows in all directions and is curly. How long does it take you to do a full natural set?
Definitely took a lot of practice! You can always try attaching the extension to the side of the lash or even underneath if the lashes are growing in different directions! As long as the base of the lash extension is attached and you aren't touching the actual skin, you can play around with that with different clients!
I felt like i was in a very good eyelashes course you did explain and showed everything we need to know before applying them on clients well-done thank you.
I love that you take an extra time searching for natural eyelashes... got mine done and 2 days after I already have and spot with no lash extensions and a lot of noticeable natural ones 😕
It definitely helps with retention and keeps the set looking nice for longer! A lot of lash artists will take their time, it's all about finding the right one!!
What is the title of the video where you updated the clients lashes to meet her needs? Also would you charge for that time to accommodate her new requests?
I did my first how to eyelash extension video 10 years ago! I've also trained probably 25 women. I can do a full set and an 1.15hr. it helps if you swipe the lash first- and you can actually do a combination of c and d lashes together it gives you a 3D look.
Omgg yessss! As a client myself, I hate when that happens and clients are afraid to speak up and say it hurts them 😭. Like the relief when they take the tape off is amazing
Hey! The glue I'm using is our Yegi Beauty Premium Adhesive and it has a 1-2 second drying time so I definitely can let go faster than usual I believe. We also have our Mega Hold, Banana and Clear Adhesives that have an even faster drying time! :)
It's really not bad at all! Like she said it's only a little weird when it is being placed but once your eyes are closed you don't feel them. It's actually relaxing while getting them done, most people actually fall asleep!
Yes! When I wipe the glue, it takes away any excess glue or bubbles (if any) - you don't need too much glue for extensions but just enough to evenly coat the extensions.
I’m just seeing this so my question is how do you how far apart to put the extensions from each other I see you jumping around to different areas and was wondering why?
Hey good question! Sometimes its easier to map out depending on what I'm doing but mostly it just helps the lash I was working on before set fully - the glues dry in 1-3 seconds but you don't want to mess with the lashes around it too too much either way to make sure fans and the direction of the lashes stay the way you want them :)
Yegi Lashes ooohh okay thats makes sense. Thank you 🙏🏽 I’ve been thinking about getting into lashes and decide to TH-cam and this was the first video I watched (looks more professional to me)
Aww well glad you found us! If you ever have questions or any requests for videos please let us know :) We have plans for a lot more tutorials for 2019 and on!
Hi lady boss! From Nigeria. do u attached the false lash to the natural lashes ? Isn't it heavy for it and how do u know where to place the false lash according to the sizes of false lash?. Please do attached to my questions, thanks.
Hello! Yes we do apply the false lash to the natural lash (never the skin) - we make sure to choose lashes that are not more than double the thickness or double the length of the natural lash so that it is not too heavy. And mapping the lash sizes takes some time to practice and is a bit of trial and error. I have more videos on mapping specifically, so those may help you out!
I got my certificate like a week ago and I learned sooo much more here ! I love it 🥰 thanks sooo much 😘😘😘 just one thing .. do you put the lash on top of the natural or on the bottom ?
Congratulations! Here I'm placing the lash on top, but depending on the client's natural lashes you may find it easier to place the lash on the side or underneath. There's really no wrong way as long as you're attaching from the base of the extension. For volume fans, I find placing the lash underneath gives the best retention, but again it depends on the client's lashes. For example, with naturally curly lashes, applying the lash on the side usually works better. Hope this helps!
Love this it’s so informative... I actually watch this and bought a kit and practice now I’m doing pretty good. I start doing my sister lashes for her and she absolutely love it now all my friends want me to do their lashes, thanks to you I learn something valuable❤️
what are all the materials you need to do the extensions and where do you get them ? What kind of tape do you use and does it rip out the bottom lashes ? And what are your precautions after barely getting them done like can you wet them ? How do you know where to put the lashes ? Do you put the extensions on top or next to the natural eyelash ? What kind of lash glue do you use and does it not dry when you put it out?
I’m watching this so I can get a look at what my future job will be! I hopefully want to get into the lash business but also I want to do a lot of esthetician work! I’ve been trying to find the perfect school to go to for it
Awesome! Definitely take your time in finding the right school! It's best to try and excel in as many services as possible and adding lash extensions on the side or as your main focus can bring in a lot of clients since it's so popular now. Good luck and let me know if you have any requests for specific tutorials!
My eyes twitched so much the first time i got lash extensions 😩 I’m getting another set done this weekend for New Years, anyone have any advice on how I can not twitch so much?
You're definitely not the only one who has that issue - some clients don't even realize their eyes are twitching! Maybe next time you can avoid coffee or any kind of stimulants (i.e. energy drinks, etc.) before your appointment! Lack of sleep can also make the eyes twitch a bit so maybe a good night's rest will help too
It can stay for 4-6 weeks depending on the client's lash growth cycle and how many natural lashes they have! Most clients will opt to get a re-fill of the lashes every 1-3 weeks though! Some people can definitely be allergic to the glue - when a client hasn't ever gotten extensions or you're trying a different glue on them, you can do a "patch test" - essentially you would put on 4-5 extensions on each eye and wait 24-48 hours to see if any reactions occur
Hey! There shouldn't be any pulling involved throughout the process. It's actually a very gentle process - we just sift through your natural lashes and isolate one at a time to apply an extension to it. Then your natural lashes go through their own shedding process and the extension will fall out with it
They came out great but I have a question how do u no what length to apply to each lash. Was that like short medium and long n u applied it according to if the natural lash was that length??
Once you get through the taping you will be fine! That'll probably be the part that feels the weirdest. Otherwise, make sure to communicate exactly what you want and if you are feeling any discomfort make sure to let her know as well!
Thank you for these videos ! I wanted to get a practice kit on amazon (it practices on a mask and short strip lashes as the clients lash) debating if I wanna got through getting certified as a side hussle
Thank you for watching! If you are doing lashes, even as a side hustle, I would definitely recommend becoming certified as there is so much information that you won't learn from just online! We offer online classes if we are not coming to a location near you!
THIS IS THE BEST VIDEO ON TH-cam period lol no fr, I’m about to start lash training in 2 weeks and I’m so excited! Your video is everything ! Thank you 💖

So you glue the lash on top of the lash or skin?
on the lash!
love this but the client looks very uncomfortable in the beginning when adding the tape . being gentle is the first key to being a lash tech honestly.
I think she said it's her first time
This was super hard for me to do! The hardest part is learning how to hold the tweezers right and isolate the lash!
Definitely the most difficult part for everyone I think! Just takes time and muscle memory but you can do it! Just practice practice practice
This client has the best eyelashes to do a tutorial on
I know! She's a lucky girl!
Which isolation tweezers are you using here? I am looking to purchase them!
Hey! I'm using the Yegi Beauty Y-5 tweezers -- link to the website to get them is in the description!
You poke her eyes and then “okay I’ll give you a break” seriously 😂😂
Because the eye will water if you put tape she gave her a break so she can close and blink.
Its ok to make mistakes. She's respectful.
Shes terrible.
Hahahah
Your bedside manner is so comforting.
How long the eyelashes extensions last? And how much it cost?
Yegi Beauty thank you. I’ll try that. Thank you
@@simahlanga Always remember, practice makes perfect!!
I felt like i was in a very good eyelashes course you did explain and showed everything we need to know before applying them on clients well-done thank you.
Thank you so much for watching and for the feedback!
This is the best and most informative video I’ve seen so far on lash application.
Aw, thank you so much! Thank you for watching
So we have to put an extension on every single eye lash ? or do we do this just by eye and see what area needs more
Every lash if possible!
@@YegiBeauty Perfect, will do a total make over for my GF. Hair, Mani, Pedi, and now lashes!
Why is no one talking about how perfect her customers eyebrows are!!!😦
Right?? She had great brows and lashes, she just wanted a bit more lash :)
Yes so perfect 🖤
Thank you for the tutorial. .I am currently in esthetician school and you have already taught me more about lashes than class
So happy I could help you out!
What is the title of the video where you updated the clients lashes to meet her needs? Also would you charge for that time to accommodate her new requests?
"What If Classic Is Too Natural? Hybrid Fix Tutorial | Eyelash Extensions 101"
Hands down the best video I’ve seen. I’ve learnt so much from this video . About to practice asap. Thank you so much !!!!!
Thank you for watching!
Is anybody wants to practice with me I'm in Lancaster california?
I did my first how to eyelash extension video 10 years ago! I've also trained probably 25 women. I can do a full set and an 1.15hr. it helps if you swipe the lash first- and you can actually do a combination of c and d lashes together it gives you a 3D look.
Love mixing curls! Thanks for watching ❤️
@@YegiBeauty Your welcome 💜
Idk if it’s right to ask lol but which brand do you recommend?
love how she took her time and explained the most important things... beautiful she helped me a lot .... thanks
Thank you for your kind words and for watching!
Hi! How do you position your camera when recording the application/applying lashes on your clients?
Hey! I actually just posted a video on the equipment and set up for my lash videos :) should be in my more recent uploads!
@@YegiBeauty Thanks!
I hate how close the tap is to the inner lid and it hurts when the eye is closed.
Same! My eyes water like crazy 😂
Omgg yessss! As a client myself, I hate when that happens and clients are afraid to speak up and say it hurts them 😭. Like the relief when they take the tape off is amazing
If I followed your method my lashes would be clumped up. Are you using an extra fast drying glue?
Hey! The glue I'm using is our Yegi Beauty Premium Adhesive and it has a 1-2 second drying time so I definitely can let go faster than usual I believe. We also have our Mega Hold, Banana and Clear Adhesives that have an even faster drying time! :)
@@YegiBeauty oh ok that's why. Do you ship to the Middle East? Specifically Oman.
Hats off to those who can lay there with the tape/gauze or whatever on their eyes.
It's really not bad at all! Like she said it's only a little weird when it is being placed but once your eyes are closed you don't feel them. It's actually relaxing while getting them done, most people actually fall asleep!
You don’t really feel it.
I got my lashes done once and I fell asleep for a few hours. This is actually pretty relaxing
It's worth it for beautiful lashes.
My anxiety would kick in, I would have lashes and tools everywhere. Thank Goodness long thick eyelashes run in my family
When you wipe the glue on the rim, is there still enough glue on the extension to it self on the natural lash?
Yes! When I wipe the glue, it takes away any excess glue or bubbles (if any) - you don't need too much glue for extensions but just enough to evenly coat the extensions.
good video. very well explained.
Thank you so much for watching!!!
Yegi Lashes I will thank you
Her natural lashes are beautiful! The extensions are great too. Thanks for the video.
You are so welcome!
Hi I have a question, I’m a new lash tech and I was wondering does each lash need an extension?
Hey! You definitely want to try lashing every lash except for any baby or damaged lash extensions!
Yegi Beauty perfect. Also do you have any eyelash isolation videos I’m struggling with that
You made yourself so clear thank for explaining how each lash has to be connected to your real lash
Thank you so much for watching
Where can I find the 2nd video to this with you doing the hybrid look, being that the classic look was too natural for her ?
Here is a link to the video! th-cam.com/video/A3mOymIcSnY/w-d-xo.html
Omg I’m in love with your personality and all the laughter
Thank you beautiful! I appreciate the support
How do you decide the length of each of three sizes you decided were good for her, how you you distribute then on the client’s actual lashes?
Hey! We have a lot of videos on mapping and some recent shorts about that! Make sure to check those out :)

You just made me feel so confident becoming a lash tech 😊
You can do it! Thank you for watching!
Love how you were making sure she was comfortable!!
I play this video like an asmr to help me to sleep
Oh thank you! Glad this video can help you lol

I love how professional and caring you are towards your client, walking her through it and telling her step by step what is happening 💕💕💕
Aww thank you so much
Love this it’s so informative... I actually watch this and bought a kit and practice now I’m doing pretty good. I start doing my sister lashes for her and she absolutely love it now all my friends want me to do their lashes, thanks to you I learn something valuable❤️
Where did you get the kit to purchase as well as the items to use?
what are all the materials you need to do the extensions and where do you get them ?
What kind of tape do you use and does it rip out the bottom lashes ?
And what are your precautions after barely getting them done like can you wet them ?
How do you know where to put the lashes ?
Do you put the extensions on top or next to the natural eyelash ?
What kind of lash glue do you use and does it not dry when you put it out?
Hey! I answer all of these questions in my other videos! Definitely check them out to learn more :)
Lack of sleep can also make the eyes twitch a bit so maybe a good night's rest will help too
I also wear headphones. It helped a lot.
Xanax
I want to know, how long does this stay? And is the glue not allergic or anything for some people? I'm new to this :)
Her lashes are already fabulous! And her eyebrows…
Wow-She should be thrilled with what nature gave her…
Yes she does! She just wanted something a little extra that she can get without having to wear mascara or additional makeup to get.
I’m watching this to learn how, this video is perfect. This is the first how to video i watched it has me excited, I think I’m ready. Thank you
Thank you for watching! There is definitely more to lashing than just this video so make sure you go for your certification
This job requires a lot of patience and love lol
This is definitely the best lash extension video I’ve watched, super helpful and informative! And you work is beautiful
Hi this query has been bothering me for so long but how would they know not to accidently pull out our actual eyelashes? Xx
Hey! There shouldn't be any pulling involved throughout the process. It's actually a very gentle process - we just sift through your natural lashes and isolate one at a time to apply an extension to it. Then your natural lashes go through their own shedding process and the extension will fall out with it
@@YegiBeauty Thank you so much for replying back it explains it now X
They look so good! I’m looking into becoming a lash tech. So glad I found this video. Very informative. Thank you.

They came out great but I have a question how do u no what length to apply to each lash. Was that like short medium and long n u applied it according to if the natural lash was that length??
Did she have to pay extra for the hybrid look?
Hey love! Thank you! It depends on multiple things, including but not limited to what look your client wants, how strong the natural lash is, etc!

I’m getting my lashes done for the first time soon and I hope the lady that does them is as nice as you cause I’m super nervous
Once you get through the taping you will be fine! That'll probably be the part that feels the weirdest. Otherwise, make sure to communicate exactly what you want and if you are feeling any discomfort make sure to let her know as well!
Do you put the lash on the skin or on a lash? & how do you know where to place?
Please help. I’m trying to learn during quarantine!!
Hey! Always on the lash, never on the skin! The goal is to put the lash abou 1-2mm away from the lashline without touching the skin
