I'm glad you switched back and forth, and revved it similarly for the comparison

Warning on this product if you get and use the decibel killer. The single screw that comes with it is on the bottom of the exhaust, meaning that gravity plus the vibey bike makes it fall out and then the DB killer comes out too. The first time I was unable to find it on the road and had to order a new one which was about $75 to have shipped to me. Both times the provided screw was too short, but the 2nd time it wasn't even long enough to engage the db killer threads at all, completely useless. I started buying replacement screws and using Locktite but that doesn't work - I'm assuming because of the heat the exhaust generates. So I was tightening it every week, but now the screw and new screws just spin in there, so I believe the internal threads have stripped. I tried to get it welded on already once for $150 and that failed, the welding has fallen apart, I'm sure because of the heat, again. So now I'm taking it to another welding place. I imagine when all is said and done I will have invested close to $400 USD on top of the original purchase and shipping, and who knows if that will even work. If it doesn't I'm going to trash this pipe and find something else, can't keep dumping money in it forever. Very poorly designed for the DB killer part.
ALSO - I found out when I first put it on and had backfiring that nobody will work on it here in California USA because it's illegal. Mandatory $1000 fine if caught. Would have been nice to know that before purchasing. A warning on their site would have been great. I'm still going to use it because I'd rather risk a ticket and be loud and safe, than to go back to the super-quiet stock exhaust. But a warning feels appropriate for anyone trying to order shipping to CA or USA in general.

I’m thinking about getting an Omega Racer muffler. Did you have to weld at all or did the muffler just easy slip on? Does the muffler backfire a lot decelerating that it’s annoying? Or did the exhaust leak from the headers that you needed to do any welding?

I recently picked up an sr400 also in LA. Did you end up getting a new exhaust? If so, mind sharing what it was? Thanks!

Nah. I got the db killer welded in again and bought a new bike shortly thereafter so I don’t drive this one hardly ever anymore. Trying to sell it currently. Great bike wish I could keep it but I can’t afford both. Needed something bigger for road trips. Enjoy your new bike! These things are super fun and pretty

The google translation is pretty rough but I think you’re asking what kind of exhaust is this? It’s an Omega Megaphone exhaust. Link in description
