She came, according to herself, as an impulsive action to the Netherlands with her son. She has been reading on the internet that there were opportunities for her. I do not think she was a Spanish citizen, at the time she visited the Netherlands. Because as a Spanish citizen, she would know more about the EU and would be permitted to live and work in the Netherlands. Her video is hilarious. It must have been a culture shock to her to come to the Netherlands. It is expensive to stay in Amsterdam for 2 months as a tourist, in hotels. She does not speak English fluently herself, which is why her video was dubbed. Coming from outside the EU, she only has permission to stay as a tourist in the Netherlands. The Netherlands, especially the big cities, are overpopulated, so it is very difficult to find affordable housing. When she went to Spain, she used her Spanish ancestry to receive citizenship. That would have been the most logic way to move to the EU in the first place. Living in Spain is also a lot easier for someone, who’s first language is Spanish.

She says that she is from Spain. But she also says she is a non European citizen. And that she couldn't get any European benefits meant for European citizens.
Sooooooo, is she not really from Spain than? Because Spain is not only located in the European continent, but Spain is also part of the European Union, which would give her access to the European laws of basic care...
The only thing I can think of at that point, is that she might have asked the wrong questions to the wrong people. Feels like a case of "You can't buy groceries from the car dealership". She should have gone to the Spanish embassy and requested the proper channels to get the proper help in accordance to her rights as a European in Europe.

This video is a total scam (not yours, hers). I do love your reaction. She is speaking Spanish in the original video and had that dubbed in English because apparently she can't speak English herself ... I know for sure that most Dutch people (over 90%) can speak English at a reasonable level (and certainly at the airports) and in most cases even more languages; after all Dutch, English, French and German are mandatory in secondary school over here. I'm a language geek though, I speak 9 languages, apart from the secondary school languages I also speak Hungarian, Norwegian, Swedish, Spanish and Italian.
And why are there so many expats working in the Netherlands if there are no opportunities?
If you're homeless over here and found sleeping on the street, you definitely won't be arrested but instead accompanied to a shelter by the police. That footage of people sleeping on the street I have never seen in my 60 years of life in the Netherlands. And everyone who's in physical or mental need will be treated just like everyone else, regardless if you're illegally here or whether you don't have health insurance. I've seen that through my career in medics.
Amsterdam is a very small city? You can walk through in 1,5 hours? You'd better reserve 24 hours to walk from one end to the other ...Was she ever really here? Those pictures are probably faked.
I hate to quote Donald Trump, but this is a total scam.

Also, complaining about the weather or costs? If you go and live somewhere.. you do research right? You know these things beforehand.

  • @Mus.Anonymouse
    @Mus.Anonymouse 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

Traffic in Amsterdam can seem quite chaotic with all the bicycles. (Even for Dutch people not being used to city life). There are plenty homeless shelters, and some places you are not allowed to sleep (like train stations) but that is more of a safety issue. If she walks through Amsterdam in 1.5 hours, she hasn’t even seen a quarter. As for public drug use in Amsterdam, that’s mostly done by foreigners. For the rest it was a kind of real vid, but just by someone who is very privileged. The impolite hello is used, but if you’re walking on the bike line… it’s deserved. Public services are accessible, but you do need insurance. Living in Amsterdam is very expensive, so try other cities like Utrecht, Den Bosch or Groningen as an example. Homeless shelters are accessible to everybody, even without residence permit. You do need ID I think. Lastly, she’s not an immigrant, she’s an illegal resident. That’s how you cannot find any work as you need valid residence papers. Car free: Amsterdam is heavily against cars in the inner city, so relatively few cars. That also shows she didn’t go beyond Amsterdam city center, as the moment you get more outside the city center, you will see more and more cars.

the drug problem is in genaral much less than in most other western countries.
even soft drugs use is much lower than in countries were it is complete illegal.

First it was a car free country and later there were railways on the street with buses and cars and bikes all used the same road. Car free? She needs someone else to speak engish for her video, so that also shows that she's a person who speaks broken but probably no english at all. I think the (sick) person who made the video only did it to get more attention to her / his channel to get views.

She just looked up 1 or 2 facts about the Netherlands, and thought she knew everything there is to know through that. And people on bikes do say 'hello' in a somewhat assertive manner if you walk(!) on the bike paths! Would you walk on a designated part of the road for bikes or cars? No! Those 'hellos' are meant as a warning NOT to walk on the bike paths!
Also, we the Dutch are the most proficient ESL country in the world. It's much more likely that SHE couldn't speak enough/sufficient English to communicate in a proper manner (she being a Hispanic person, and Hispanics do have issues with certain pronunciations).
And yeah, we do have certain rules for non-EU citizens in order to work here. Dûh! Oh! And have you ever been to a country where the housing and food are free? Even in her home country Chile there are certain rules! I, as a Dutch citizen, am not allowed to go on a 2-month(!) vacation and expect everything to be free AND get work right away! I could go there when I have a bag of money though, but that goes for ANY country...

This strange women had enough money to stay in an expensive hotel in the center of Amsterdam.
One of the moat expensive cities in Europe because of its popularity with toerist and expats. Considering that a hotel room starts from 80 euros a night but can easily go to 150-200 euros, I truly don't understand why she didn't try to find cheaper accommodation.
Especially long term accommodation could have been 25 to 75 percent cheaper. Why did she assume that once her money was gone she now could get government assistance automatically?
Especially if she basically threw away thousands of euros on pure luxury? And she clearly only visited the old center of Amsterdam, because of her insane statement the Netherlands is car free.
The old centre in Amsterdam has fewer cars because of high parking fees and less space in general. Plus why stay in the Netherlands for TWO months if you don't like it?
If she really didn't like the weather, people, canals, streets, food and so on, just take a train to france; or better still SPAIN!
Great weather and no language barrier anymore!

She doesn't specify what kind of immigrant she is our her visa. The way she talks about the bumps in her road, and as you pointed out the lack of organization and budgetting on her side - It makes one wonder. There are issues in the Netherlands, and she could have bumped into them... but in general right now the conflict internally left vs right in a large aspect has to do with how we take care of immigrants:
They get housing and stuff, etc.
The tax money spent on this while born and raised native Dutch people have much difficulty to find housing, etc. in part because the limited housing we have gets taken by immigrants and expats.
We have social systems, burocratic systems, etc. just as any other country.
But thing could be better, things have gotten worse here compared to my youth, this is not nostalgia; the issues are not that much different, the influx in people that get faced by them have.

Living in the Netherlands isn’t cheap. But the jobs overhere pay better than jobs in most countries. A lot of foreign people come overhere to work because it pays better than in their own countries.

She is right Netherlands is not worst country but not because of her silly reasons but because the Netherlands is in fact a Mary Sue. Every single crime committed by The Netherlands has been justified. How come that Netherlands is the only country that allowed to be direct to other countries and that is not even the worst part. No the worst part was justifying Mr black Pete. After knowing the story of Tula Rigaud and millions of requests on the Caribbean island still celebrating if nothing ever happens. And the is a huge sign why The Netherlands is in fact a Mary Sue. Because Mary Sue gets everything what they want and can commit plenty of crimes without facing consequences.

So fake! It's an obvious voice over, just look at the lip syncing. All Dutch people speak various languages. Yes, Amsterdam is expensive, but not less so than Paris, London or any major city. She's just trying to get many followers to make money on TH-cam.
