Super excited for Episode 4! This series has been amazing and that boondocking spot looked amazing. That Bear spot is really cool, bummer no bears when you went! We can't wait to explore all of these areas too. Congrats on 2K!!!!
Hi @VanDoghies - Thanks for dropping by! Hyder is a great place, as is the entire area. You guys will have such a blast up there we look forward to your content on that when you do go. And thank you for the contrats too. Safe travels to you guys!
How lovely to have the drone to explore unreachable places. The views are mega gorgeous. Another stunning episode on your journey. Your camera captures along the route are fabulous - I feel like I'm traveling along with you. Surprise road guest- that bear. Bet he got a fright too. Oh that green blue marble stone looked amazing. I couldn't agree more - this is an incredible landscape. It's such a pleasure and privilege to travel with you. Have a wonderful weekend. Thanks for this beautiful journey. 👌🇳🇱🙋♀🥝
Thanks for visiting us again! The trip gets better and better I think - this segment was mostly travel - as there is a LOT of that when visiting Alaska in an RV, but we try to show that experience - it was really fun - not a boring drive at all. We really appreciate your support and feedback - it makes doing these videos worthwhile. Have a great weekend too!
Hello Bob and Dang, you finally got that bear footage. The road seems better than I thought It would be. I didn't even know there is jade in Alaska. Good interview Dang👍. Wow congratulations on reaching the Yukon. Great campsite you did goid. Thank you for sharing have a blessed day.
Thanks Donnie for dropping by! Yes finally got some bear footage -to bad I stopped so quickly it nocked the camera down - would have been better footage had I not done that -but I didn't know which way that bear was going to go and definitely didn't want to hit it! That road was really nice - were were pleasantly surprised - no shoulders - that's the only real issue there but we drive on plenty of roads like that. Next episode - should be out tomorrow - well lets just say the road gets a bit worse :). Safe travels!
Another great video, that boondocking spot was a gem. We like spots like that too. Having those drone shots were also amazing. Can't wait until your next video!
Thanks guys - we really do appreciate your support. We got lucky with that boo docking spot indeed. We were getting pretty nervous after striking out twice and figured we were going to have to sleep next to the highway - which is not technically legal up there. The next episode has more good boon docking spots. Take care and travel safe!
Awesome video! I loved the segment on Jade City since we have some beautiful statues carved from this Jade! Surprised how small the “city” is! LoL! You folks have crossed some gorgeous country with plenty more ahead of you. Can’t wait to see what’s next! ❤
So glad you liked it Ken. It was very fun being there at Jade City. We wish we had a trailer full of money we would have brought one of those boulders back with us🤣. It gets prettier and prettier from here - glad you are along for the ride and thanks for all the support - we really do appreciate it!
What an amazing adventure, that boondocking spot was amazing, sounds like third one was the charm. Sorry you didn't get any bears at the river, but that one ran out in front of you got your heart racing.
Thanks @thewanderingshores, yes I was afraid we might hit the bear, we were not speeding but it happened pretty quickly and hard to stop as you know pulling the rig. Next segment we find some more excellent boondocking spots up there. Take care guys and see you soon in Quartzsite!
I think most people that travel there tend to come back on the highway, I don't remember why we decided to do it the other way around, but it's all good!. Thanks for comment and we agree - it is a magical place up there!
Another excellent video! A long travel day on the Cassiar Highway with a very interesting stop over at Jade City. Fortunate you somewhat stumbled on a terrific boondock location for your first night in the Yukon. Loved the aerial footage as you continue on the road to Alaska.
Thanks @GoldenAnniversaryAdventure - it was a lot of fun as you well know. I can't wait until we get to the segments where we are traveling with you guys! Take care and hope to see you in Quartzsite this winter.
Really enjoying this trip. Love the step up in production quality on this episode. We just saw an SUV-RVing on Hider. Thanks to both of you. Really fun.
Great video!! You have a knack for finding amazing boondocling locations these were great so smart you took chances going down those roads. We make a roast usually when we go hiking all day but never thought about on a long drive day great idea! Your trip has made us want to go as soon as possible your drone footage throughout the video was excellent and you found so many peaceful beautiful locations. Excellent narration as always as you took us along your adventures. Jade City was a cute little location. Excellent filming and editing very much enjoyed!
Thanks @justramblinaround - this trip definitely stretched our boondocking search skills. Canada was interesting because there are more rules on where you can / cannot pull over for the night. Most rest areas are a no-no, but some are okay. We look very forward to your renditions of an RV trip through Alaska, I know you guys will have a blast! Lots of fun places up there to explore. Thanks for the compliments - very much appreciated from fellow creators.
I didn’t realize how much boondocking you guys were going to be doing on this trip…kudos to you for being brave enough to do that!!! You sure have found some fantastic spots ❤ absolutely stunning! I’m also kicking myself for not trying to make a slow cooker dinner while we drive! I’m going to have to try this the next time we hit the road, thanks for sharing! Looking forward to seeing you in Quartzite 😊
Hi Kim, we did a fair amount of boondocking - its much more convenient as we can get a whole work day in the following day, then travel in the afternoon after work. That schedule never works well in RV parks. The slow cooker worked great, we will do that more often in the future. We don't normally buy pre-seasoned foods but we thought this would be nice for a quick departure in the morning - minimal mess or prep. And it was good, though it would be better if we did it from scratch :). Looking forward to catching up with you guys for sure. Will you be doing a session at the Grand Design Rally in Quartzsite again ? Safe travels!
We are the same when it comes to enjoying the flexibility of boondocking without scheduled check in/out times. It’s nice that you had so much daylight to travel later into the evening hours after working a full day. I may be doing 1 or 2 sessions at the rally. Bobby and I wanted to do a Dutch oven cooking session but I think Becky wants me to do something similar to my session last year too. We don’t have any details yet so I’m looking for ideas. Do you have any suggestions? I’d love to hear them 😊
What a video.. Bob is right BREATHTAKING.. Loved Jade Cite, very interesting.. 👏❤️👏
Jade City was a lot of fun -you guys should figure out how to get up there - you would love it! Thanks as always for the support❤️

Bob, You are a great storyteller! Great Job!
Thank you so much! It's an easy place to tell stories about! :)

wow! that site at porcupine creek looked amazing!
It really was, and we were so relieved to find it. Thanks much guys!
We came home on the Cassier and loved it. Jade City Hyder all of it was outstanding. Kim and I are already planning our next Alaska trip.

Nice video see you in Quartzsite
Thanks Joe - we look very forward to connecting again, See you pretty soon!
Do you just drive around USA visiting other states and landmarks?
We do in fact do a lot of that! There is so much to see and do it keeps us pretty busy. Thanks for the comment!
@bobanddangsjourney would you guys drive down to South America like into Colombia or something?
We would definitely consider it, but that would be a few years down the road I think. It would be an incredible adventure for sure!
@bobanddangsjourney just be careful in the Darian gap in Panama
@@charlie_Snoop Thanks for the heads-up- will have to read up on that!
