I appreciate you two showing what it’s like traveling via metro! i’ve lived in SoCal my whole life and haven’t been able to explore much yet but i’m super interested in getting out and learning how to take the metro too! :)
We’re super glad we’re able to jumpstart the your interest in exploring SoCal! The Metro is only gonna get better! They are expanding!! You can even take it to San Diego! (Which we are planning on making a video for as well!)
LA Chinatown isn't as exciting as other Chinatowns but hope you guys enjoyed Howlin Rays! On a related note, there's one in Pasadena now (which we haven't gone to) 😆
hello Peter & Lisa,...we would love to explore LA on our October trip....our only concern is the safety when we ride the Metro....when we watch your vlogs we feel its safe...but other vlogs makes us think otherwise...pls let us know as asian tourist..thanks
Hi there! To be honest, there are definitely some spots that you'll feel unsafe. Most of the Red Line (it's apparently called the B line now? 😆) will feel like any other major city since it goes to downtown and it's moderately crowded in the trains, as well as most of the Gold Line you should feel pretty safe. If you're heading out west or south in LA, getting a car would be your best bet. Hopefully that helps!
