    The condition at 1:09 for the open end (p=0) is only an approximation. This is valid for a situation where you have air in the tube and somehow can retain a vacuum on the outside. A more typical condition is found looking at the mechanical impedance of a piston placed at the end, calculating the mechanical impedance (Bessel and Hankel funtions for the circular crosssection tube), and converting back to acoustic impedance. Look up 'end correction' for more correct BCs than p=0.

    57.00 you dont feel the heat because you’re far away, not because the speed is slow. A fire doesnt come on then the heat propagates seconds later, it propagates very quickly indeed, but it cannot physically propagate faster than sound as molecules carry ‘heat’. Unless its mostly infared.

    There are small typos in his lecture notes, but there is no in this video. It's just that his confusing notations may lead us to think there might be typos there.

    SIR, I HAVE BEEN OBSERVING A PHENOMENON FOR QUITE SOME TIME AND WANT TO HAVE YOUR VIEWS ON IT for my understanding, please spare some time
    IF WE LISTEN TO SOME RECORDED VOICE AT PLAIN SPEED AND THEN AGAIN LISTEN TO IT BUT WITH HIGHER PLAYBACK SPEED -> THEN ITS NOTICEABLE THAT THE VOLUME HAS DECREASED EVEN THOUGH IT HAS NOT BEEN DONE ACTUALLY
    AS A COROLLARY, IF THE PLAYBACK SPEED IS INCREASED ENOUGH THAT ITS STILL COMPREHENSIVE, AND THEN WITH THE SAME VOLUME IF PLAYBACK SPEED IS SET TO NORMAL, THEN THE LOUDNESS WOULD SEEM RAISED

    WHAT IF THE SAME VIDEO IS PLAYED ON A SCREEN AND THEN IF A CAMERA SHOTS THAT PLAYED VIDEO WHILE THE CAMERA IS SHAKING WITH SAME FREQUENCY, why doesn't it captures the shaking face....why loss of information!

      It becomes to be volume at a standard point Because delta x is not displacement of molecules.
