It's hard to top Season 2, but Alex could easily pull it off for Season 3 if he has enough creative control and once he recovers (which may take a couple of years or so :( ). I'd be happy to see Season 3 in the near future, and wouldn't mind waiting another 5 years for Season 4, but I don't think they should stretch it much further beyond that. Maybe they could introduce a couple of new plot points to up the mind-blow factor, but in the end they should tie up all the loose ends in the story by the end of that. Gravity Falls is kind of like Back to the Future - once you tell Dipper and Mabel's story, there's not much more left to tell, so there would be no point in further seasons. Of note is that Gravity Falls could be a re-usable universe (unlike BttF), so we could see another equally cool (but not necessarily at all similar) story told within it. Also note that I'm not saying Dipper and Mabel's story has been told completely - if you are stubborn, yes you could claim that, but personally I see multiple loose ends and directions of story development. Bill likely wasn't defeated and so the Zodiac might come back later alongside a battle with stakes much larger than Gravity Falls itself (like the whole planet for instance), what happens to Ford and Stanley later on, what kind of people Dipper and Mabel may grow up to be and how they cope with the events of Weirdmageddon and it's effects on their life, whether Bill reappears just in time for a New Generation Pines ass-kicking where Dipper and Mabel's kids fight alongside their parents to overcome Bill (possibly now sans Grunkles, so no safety net for Dipper as he has to learn how to fend for himself and all responsibility rests on him). Personally I'd be on board to see even just one of those things. The issue with doing seasons 4-10 properly would be that each one has to top all the preceding ones. That means that the Season 10 finale (i.e. the end of the show) would have to be so mind-blowing and awesome that people's heads wouldn't merely burst figuratively, but in fact almost physically. But season 3 at the very least should be very possible.

I have never really been interested in Gravity Falls. I watched only about 2-3 episodes, and lost interest very quickly because yes, the animation is rather interesting, but the way the show played out was to me, very disturbing. The theme song for gravity falls was pretty interesting, so that's why I clicked this remix, and a great job you did. my thumbs go to you. ;)
