  • ** I still think it’s the best option out there. All the other options out there have their problems too, but this is still in my opinion the superior product.
    After owning the VL2 for 10 months, I provide an update on the issues I've been having. I think it would be good for people to hear my experience with the VL2.
    Check out these 2 videos to hear why I still think it’s the better option.

    Honesty I’ve tried competing systems and they offer little to no support, at least with these people I can get a response back within a few minutes if I email them.
    I’ve had this unit for over a year and I can say that the wiring for this unit is very sensitive. What’s worked for me to fix the backup camera is unplugging/ reconnecting the wires and reseating them in a way that they don’t have any bends or creases.
    Overall the system works great for me hope that helps!

    Thank you for your honest review. I ordered my unit weeks ago and I don’t know what’s going on but it’s taking forever so I demanded a refund if they can’t ship today and I’m being told that they are very slow to process ( maybe due to software version maybe) and so I was gonna look into another unit from another company that a very nice guy was telling me about he got in a Lexus thread on Fb but I first wanna get more honest reviews of the unit. So thank you for all the info you provided I joined that group you made you mentioned

Also even when sharing internet through hotpot from IPhone , it is not auto deduct by vline2 and manually have to enable it. Also after awhile it auto disconnected if not used. Any help!!

    • @sammygoris
      @sammygoris  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Ahmed, CarPlay uses a combination of wi-fi an Bluetooth for its connection. I don’t understand all the details of how exactly, but turning off wifi or using the hotspot may interfere with CarPlay. CarPlay in itself is a lot smoother than the GROM android interface and CarPlay utilises your phones data automatically. Whereas setting up hotspot etc can be a bit of pain. I know there are some android apps which can automatically toggle wifi/hotspot depending on location etc but don’t think it’s possible with Apple. I think it might just be easier putting a 4G/5G SIM card into the device

      @@khansnyc - It does, however you cannot use the grom while in reverse. You need to wait until you go back into drive before you use it again. I have had a number of issues with it though. Grom after sales sucks really bad. Once you buy one, you are on your own.
      I received it without the GPS component, so I can't use the sat nav unless i use my phone data. That ok for most of the time, but when I drive country, I can get in trouble if I get lost!
      Just make sure you stay on them and ensure you get everything you need before buying.
