  • Joining me today is another awesome lady who also experienced the same full time ministry that I did, Covenant Players. Her perspective involves growing up in the Salvation Army in Australia and what led to joining the theater company where she did not recieve the help and support she needed while dealing with depression, anxiety, feeling shame and not enough. It gets dark, but it ends with hope.
Too many people have been left to fend for themselves through their darkest times while ministries worried more about results and numbers than about the people on the inside. Too many people are left worried about what others will think when they ultimately lose their faith when they just don't feel connected to what they were deeply connected to at one time. Elischa was so brave sharing her story, and I know it will resonate with others.
Welcome to the Epic Kate Podcast!
Join me, Kate as I have conversations with amazing people. For an hour or so we'll journey to expand perspective through sharing life experiences, spiritual journeys and the passions that give our lives meaning. I find people who are making the world a better place and I learn and grow through them. I am learning curiosity to go deeper and ask the questions that I'm scared to ask but that will bring us to a deeper place.
Making connections with people and hearing their stories and learning through them means so much to me. This is a place to learn and grow and be opened to different ideas and perspectives and beliefs and be challenged by them. It's a place to grow in love and compassion.
