I love finnish mentality so much ! In particular I love sleep with windows open in the night especially in winter when the temperature outdoor is lesser then 0 Celsius degree! I love nature so much and make camping inside the forest or near to some lake or in some mountain.
Ahhh the silence! I’ll never forget when a Finnish friend let me crash on his couch during a visit. The next morning, we sat and ate breakfast in near complete silence. As a loud mouth american I was caught off guard 😅
When I was a baby (here in Finland), there was a period when my parents couldn't put me to sleep outdoors, because there was a nuclear disaster in Chernobyl. It was highly recommended that instead babies should sleep inside.
Sauna is the best, I specially like it so much. Last holidays in Finland I used to do sauna almost everyday, so when I came back to my country sauna was one of the things I missed more :D
Greetings from the states. I can't wait until this whole virus ordeal is over with so i can visit Finland and maybe move here. These are good tips. Kiitos for the high quality video. Well-put together.
Every Finnish relative that I have in Ohio used to have a sauna either in their basement or in a separate little building in the back so I'm grew up with that aspect of the culture. Well, pretty much all aspects of the culture.
Heh! SILENCEis comfortable after we understand your culture. SAUNA is wonderfull but i will never go with anyone else, only my husband, i am shy naked XD. PERSONAL SPACE, made me argue how virus got space at Finland. BEING MORE CASUAL is something very nice here too because it is less stressing. Thank you! I learnt lots of finnish habits at your channel before visiting Finland!
So Aleksi, In the face of the Corona Virus, was it necessary for the Finish government to tell the people to distant themselves socially or socially isolate themselves? Or did they just say "carry on as normal, you are already doing a fine job"?
Here in Brazil we often wear Havaianas flip flops at home. I think they’re much better than socks. Inside home I suppose it’s never too cold in Finland, right? If you prefer to wear something inside home (after to take off your shoes) I believe they are a great option, and they are available in Europe too.
Awesome! I love Sauna. And the silence is one of the first things I learnt when I first arrived. And I drink milk a lot now compared to when I first arrived in Finland. 😃
I love your shirt! I want it! Where did you get it? I’m a high school teacher in California and I would love to wear that to school, when we reopen of course. :)
To be honest I feel like I have a lot of similar personality traits with the Finns. I am Italian, but very often feel like i have absolutely nothing to say, even to family or friends. Like, I really don’t know what to talk about. But it feels embarassing here, people assume you are angry or distracted, and you are avoiding conversation.
I am thinking if I am a Finnish soul stucked in a different nationality's body. Hehehe. Our country is quite extroverted and me being an introvert, is like really difficult. I must go there.
I can't believe how early I am ITS 2:30 HERE IN HONG KONG I HAVE ONLINE CLASSES AT 9:00 WHY TF AM I STILL AWAKE cuz all my fav youtubers always upload at 2 AM rip-
Even in Helsinki you can find beautiful nature, sometimes in harmony with development, sometimes right next to it in a way you don't even notice you're only 100 meters from houses. I can think if beautiful spots in Tammisalo and Malmi just when you mention the word "nature." On a completely separate note, the results of your gym routine are becoming obvious, or your t-shirts are shrinking. Onnea!
Hey Aleksi, if I was to move to Finland at 20 years of age from a country in the eu, when I get my citizenship there would it be compulsory to serve in the army? Thanks for all the helpful videos, they're great 👍👍
Well in finland too extroverts are more popular than introverts there has been a study about that too that mayby finland isint soo diffirent from other country's after all. Because here on finland at school or at work its seen as a positive thing if you are an extrovert and have a lot of friends. I'm an introvert and haven't been really popular here but i don't care lol. And i'm a finn
Hahahahahaha Rules 1-9: Never smile, never be a second late, and follow these 100,000,000 social rules to the exact millimetre. Rule 10: Finns don't like to be too formal...😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆 I laughed so hard, I dropped my cigar and burnt my Johnson

I was 2 years old then. Wow, the history we have lived though.
I'm quite sure that at that time it was a wise thing to do.
woow!!

I found several things in common with living in Japan. I’d like to live in Finland in future in my life...

Just watched the video. As a Person who is planning on moving to Finland your videos are a fintastic insight for me. Kiitos
Thanks for the comment Vivianne Trevanion!
That's what I like about Finnish. That silence is normal. I think it's an introvert-friendly place. ❤️
Good stuff!

I'll usually try to reply too!
@@AleksiHimself Wow. Only few youtubers do that. Hehe. ❤️

Thank you Aleksi, through your chunnel, i know much about Finland and Finn.
I love this! Lol 😄 it’s on point ~ All your videos are great lol Kiitos🙌🏾😊 from the BlackFinn in Canada💙🇫🇮🇨🇦
Sauna/cold water/sauna/cold water/beer beer beer what a great combination it was. Only regret is i didn't visit helsinki cathedral

Respect for personal space, sauna's, extraordinary nature and silence. An introvert's dream, LOL.
Right on!
I love your shirt! I want it! Where did you get it? I’m a high school teacher in California and I would love to wear that to school, when we reopen of course. :)
I am very gratefull that we have sauna in my town in Slovakia, that we wear no shoes in house and that Slovakia is kinda similar to Finland
Good stuff!
I am so glad milk is offered with restaurant meals!
It's so good!

You should go to bed. :)
Are you redoing videos of the past? :)
I feel like you've told these many times already :)
Although I never get tired of hearing about Finland
Some of these things have been mentioned in a different context. The next videos will be completely new tho. :)

If you are a man, yes. If you become Finnish citizen under the age of 30.
hey mate, the link to your language course doesn't work...
I rarely see anyone drinking milk though. I only use milk in cooking. The importance of milk in daily life is growing smaller.
AlmightyNorppa and what if you’re allergic to dairy?? If you can only drink plant milk, which kind would a Finn drink?
@@cindi7228 There's substitutes like oat milk found in pretty much every store.
Also where I live we rarely see nature it's just city, city city and more city. Lol
Where do you live?
Hong kong city 😂 with all the mtr and small apartments in tall buildings
HK_ForeverOnce idv I’m sad for you ;-; you don’t see that much nature around you and all that :( Here is a tree for you ->🌲:D
I also love milk. I can drink it as if it was some fruit juice.

What about tip, if we pay with card?
I've seen some card paying machines having a tip functionality. But giving tips is not a thing in Finland.
Yep, we're milk drinkers and don't take an arrow to the knee. (You'll get it from Skyrim.)
Good stuff!
Silence is gold, just like karjala beer 😂
Haha :D
... the silence ... I am starting to get used to it, I hope.
