Congratulations! Highly under appreciated for sure and a beautiful animal. I shot my red Hartebeest as part of a “beest” slam almost two years ago. Turned out to be my favorite of the group. After the long Covid shutdown, it will finally be shipped next week! Great video! Thanks!
Did you manage to complete the "beest" slam? They are all very cool animals. My favorite is the Black Wildebeest, tough little bugger! I'm glad you are getting your trophies soon, it will be like Christmas for sure! Where are you based? Thank you for the very positive comment, much appreciated!
@@AfricanSunProductions I have to return to add the “poor man’s Cape buffalo”. It was a “serendipity” hunt. I had a few target species and just wanted to search for “serendipity”...the “Beest” slam developed on the spot. Could’ve added the blue but left it to combine it with a future hunt for Cape buffalo. Hopefully we can past all the ammo shortage so I can at least practice regularly! Looking forward to the next hunt. Love Africa and love your videos! Thanks again for another excellent video!
I'm sure someday we can get back to some type of normal. I've been filming more and more clients lately, travel is definitely getting easier and safer. I hope you get to come back soon and get the poor man's AND the real Buffalo! If you want to have your own hunt filmed, send me an email and maybe we can just make that happen. info@africansunproductions.com Thank you for your support, new video in about a week!
What is most interesting is to watch the slow motion entry of the bullet. It went through the center of the animal's heart and broke the right shoulder bone on exit. We did not realize that during the moment, but could see what happened afterwards watching the video. At first we thought that maybe I missed the shot with the bullet hitting the dirt in such an odd spot. Both front legs were disabled but you can only see it in the slow motion footage after the animal started to run off.
Why rifle manufacturer is your rifle from? Also what caliber if you don’t mind me asking. To me that looks allot like a rifle from Cooper firearms of Montana.

Hi Scott. All the hunts I film are part of sustainable use programs designed to increase wildlife numbers as a whole. Not only the horns and skin are used, but all the meat and the funds generated are used to ensure these wildlife areas always contain wildlife. Thanks for watching.

I remember that like it was yesterday! It was a great hunt, and then we had that awesome lunch in the old lodge.
