- Player-owned starbases (often shortened to "starbase" or "POS") are a collection of structures that player corporations may anchor in the orbit of moons. Starbases are not to be confused with stations, Citadels, or other large deployable structures which allow ships to dock. A player cannot dock with a starbase; they can only interact with the starbase modules.

also there IS a limit to how much stuff is anchored to the pos. the pos has a cpu and power grid limit just like a ship
Technically, not true. There is a limit to how many things can be online. But you can anchor as many things as you want, even within a POS forcefield if the module allows it.
You can anchor a lot of modules. Search for the "unassuming palace of the goddess".
I think that is/was the largest Pos in Eve.
OK, I have a dumb question. I have the blueprint, and all the mats to build it. I went to a player owned put it in the bp maker. I have the required skills to build it but it wont let me. I have used other bp's there so where can I go? What am I missing?

hey there i know this is about a year old, but im curious if you can get the pos to allow access based off of an access list, instead of the allow corporation or allow alliance?

No they can’t they have to be in the same corp

What should i use if i want to set up a place as solo player to dock and drop some materials while farming ? No mobile depots i need a structure since im planning to live there. I know i cant deffend it from groups and it will get destroyed, i assume it.
Just drop a small pos, use freight containers to store stuff as if you get reffd you can't use your corporate hangar. Pochven filament out with your hauler alt

Why would you use a POS instead of a citadel these days? Just curious.
Use both, but in all seriousness medium structures got a huge nerf recently.
i use it to easily share items between alts for Planetary Interaction especially if your corp doesnt have an office in the system.
I'd love a Raitaru, have a bp but the core and fuel costs ouch
You can deploy them a lot faster than you can with the citadel's meaning. If you need to set up a beach head or you need to set up some place fast for a safe. This is what you would use.
So, I'm playing solo. I wish to set up a pos, just for fun.
How secure it will be?
How many ppl are needed to destroy it?
Does it have reinforcement timer?
If someone comes to destroy my pos. They can bring a fleet and that's it? I lose everything?

i think they couldn't fix what broke if they did, it was something like that anyway
@@zhain0 o s are hardcoded into the game so if they Remove the POS they would have to remove a lot of the core coding of the game which means that they would have to understand the core coading enough to do so not only that the guy who knew how to code it is no longer working for the company and it's such old code that almost nobody in the world understands that code anymore.
