- Having violet hair is probably my most favourite thing I've done lately, and I'm so happy with the routine and products I use. My hair is vibrant, healthy and pretty damn cool - and it only costs me $20!
The dye that I use is the Schwarzkopf Brilliance Luminance in 'L60 Ultra Violet'.
Oh, and let me just say sorry now for the amount of times I touched my hair in this video - it's hard not to when it's all you're talking about, lol.

I searched so long for a color like yours. After I found you I wenr directly to the Store and buy this Color. I dyed my hair 2 hours ago and I love the color. Thank you! Without you I'd never know this. Finally I found my perfect Haircolor. (Sorry for my bad englishXD)

I put this over blonde foils and it went sooo pink but would change to purple and red in different light. The fade looks kinda rose gold it's cute

my hair is a dark brown... I bet it wouldnt be as vibrant as yours, but might be worth a try. LOVE your color !
It would probably take a couple of uses before it starts to show up vibrant. My hair is naturally very dark brown, so my roots are the least vibrant.
I used to die my hair this exact same colour!! It seriously has an amazing colour pay off as my hair is also a natural dark brown :)

if you have darker hair try the ultra violet shwartskoph for darker hair (found in sainsburys)

I dyed my hair purple not long ago but the bottle wasn't enogh and do you know about the chlorine damaging the dye , does it really happen ??
hey Katrina do you think this would work on black hair? I have natural black hair and really want to try out a bright vibrant colour but without bleach - are there any other brands that do the same available in Aus? I have seen the Loreal Hicolour Hilights but it doesn't seem to be available in Aus. Any info would be awesome. Thanks :D

I have a very dark black hair (roots) and the rest of my hair is silvery gray. Do you think it would absorb into my gray silvery hair? I don't want it to be ombre i just want one same color & shade. I have very dark roots too, and my roots are a slightly different shade to the lengths when I dye it. As for it absorbing into the grey, it will, but it will be a lot brighter than mine. I can still see where I had blonde foils, for example, because those parts are a brighter, lighter purple.

oh yes sorry, they have come out with a newer one similar to that that I use but it comes out more purply
If you try a sulfate free shampoo you'll get even better results. Sulfate strips colour from your hair. Yet a lot of the "colour stay" shampoos actually have it in there. I used to use that one and thought it was ok but then i switched a sulfate free shampoo and now my purple hair stays purple for a lot longer. And my hair is bright purple currently. Even when my hair was hot pink i noticed the difference when changing shampoos. That's just what i've personally found.

+Katrina Maree the L'Oréal one in the purpley bottle with a red cap that's sulfate free lathers. that was the one I just finished. I've been testing out diff8 brands. the joico one doesn't lather up much.

I have natural black hair and I wanna use the same dye like you. Should I bleach my hair first?
You cannot use bleach with this dye - it specifically says it isn't good for pre-lightened hair. If you're wanting to achieve the same colour straight away, you're best off going to a hairdresser. Otherwise, you will eventually get to my colour by using this dye a couple of times. It is formulated for dark hair, but it will still take a couple of times before it will show on black. Hope this helped!

Hi I've never used this before and I really want to but I have 1 question. Is it safe to go in a pool with this hair dye?
Chlorine will make any hair dye fade or dull, and if you have any bleach in your hair, it can turn green. If you're in the pool regularly, you should wear a swimming cap.

Yep, it'll show up more as a magenta though, rather than purple.

Do you have to re dye your whole hair every 8 weeks?
You can just do regrowth, but I do my whole head so that it all fades at the same time.

Hey Katrina Maree, I'm actually a Kendall Marie! But this shows up under my son Kelton's name cause the brat stole my account! Lol! I haven't watched your video with sound as of yet, so forgive me if you have already said or answered this, but so far in my searches I haven't been able to find this variant of Schwarzkopf Brilliance available on any U.S. site. And any of the Schwarzkopf colours sold in any stores here are very typical, less intense shades. Do you know where it can be found in the U.S.? Thanks girl, promise to watch with audio tomorrow!
+KELTON WOLFE Hi! It's possible that it's under a different name in the U.S, or they may not make it at all. I know for a fact that the U.K has it though. I just looked on eBay, and if you type 'Schwarzkopf Ultra Voilet' there are quite a few boxes available there. They have difference covers and hair models on the box to mine, but it's the same colour and code. :)
+Katrina Maree Correction - some of them have a different code. I've just found one that says L76, but it's still the Ultra Violet.

I've always wanted to get my hair color changed its naturally black. But I never know what color to do my hair in ( I was always thinking of the color that Jaclyn Hill has or a violet but not too vibrant)...
+SimplyJonellexoxo it will probably take a course of time to get the colour you're after, because black is hard to dye, so I'd recommend a salon - they'll probably get you the best results!

I suggest getting Loreal Paris V48 Power Violet hair dye. It's pretty much this exact color. Remember, it's V48, NOT V38 :)

Just a cosmetologists 2 cents; box dye may not feel like it's damaging your hair, but it is on a more long term scale. Basically a buying a chemical product that normally a licensed professional can give you, at a drug store is a bad idea. The amount of extra (and very cheap) chemicals added to get a close result can cause damage to your hair on a molecular level that can damage future growth to your hair. That's why it's cheap in comparison to a salon service.
Not saying that your hair doesn't look great, and if you're happy with it then that's okay. Just letting you know the truth about box dye, and even worse than the damage is trying to revert the color at the salon when you want to change it lol! (Especially black, NEVER box dye your hair black, unless you plan on being black forever!)
With that long winded rant being said, that's a great color for you! 😝

As a professional, this product doesn't actually nourish your hair, it's so packed full of silicone that it gives you the illusion of healthy hair. Anything bought outside of a salon is masking the damage. Each to their own but from someone who works in the industry box colour and cheap shampoo isn't good. No hate just sharing my opinion and knowledge xo
That's cool 😊 I'm aware that cheaper doesn't mean better or even good for your hair. I'm happy with it though, so I guess that counts lol.
