  • Leaders, if you’re looking to lead powerful, positive change in yourself or your organization, it can be hard to know where to start. John Maxwell says that everything begins with a thought, which is why leaders need to examine their thinking. What you think determines what you do and who you are.
    In this episode, John Maxwell teaches how changing your thinking can change your life. After John’s lesson, Mark Cole and Traci Morrow discuss how they implement John’s principles into their own life, and they also offer you some real-world application.
    Our BONUS resource for this episode is the “Change Your Thinking, Change Your Life Worksheet,” which includes fill-in-the-blank notes from John’s teaching. You can download the worksheet by visiting MaxwellPodcast.com/Think and clicking “Download the Bonus Resource.”

    I love it. In the book of Proverbs it says ;
    "Commit your works unto the Lord and your thoughts will be established. It's all about commitment. Selflessness is not selfishness. It's all about Christ and His ability to change our lives for His glory.
    That's what we're here for. Nothing more and nothing less.

    Dear Dr. John C Maxwell,
    I can't thank you enough for the incredible messages ' How to add value to people' and ' How to be salt and light', those messages changed my life.
    I am glad to share that got an opportunity as a QA Manager role
    and joined in the new organization that i thought will become manager after 6 years or more. This would not happen without connecting daily to ' Minute with Maxwell', listening podcast, maxwell messages and books. Thank you for all these resources that helped me a lot to prepare an interview and passed the interview.
    After watching Paul's Passion message, started to learn more on Acts, Romans and the chapters written by Paul.
    Small note on my earlier life- I was a fearful, hopeless, depressed, stressed and negative mindset girl and I gained more confident now. 6.5 yrs has been to become a team lead(2021) and in a year Manager(2022).
    May god bless you abundantly!!
    Millions of Millions should be blessed through your resources especially womens like me.
    Thanks
    Misbavathi

    Loved this one for so many reasons. It was so timely. I received some very similar feedback recently from a mentor that Mark received from John. My mentor told me that he wanted "more of 'belief in myself'" that I was showing up like I didn't have it. Wow. How awesome it is to receive feedback from a great mentor. I appreciate your humility, Mark, and I think John was spot on. I, too, noticed that you are very critical of yourself and I have a similar behavior where I try to do that and brush it off as humorous (including using the 'radio face' line!) and my other biggest fan, my wife stops that bus all the time. You are a great leader, Mark. You have an unbelievable set of shoes to fill and I wish you the best. Sincerely, John Gallagher

    Marc, that section where you were talking about a change in your outlook was the deep, brother. You have no idea how applicable that is to me. Recently, I was just promoted to a leadership role in my job and immediately begin dealing with imposter syndrome, which was compounded by some of the older team members not believing I was up to the challenge. This teaching helped me see that the issue isn’t them, it’s me. I bought into those lies and began to fear them rather than trusting that God indeed DID place me there to glorify Him and serve people.
    I can’t think of a better man to carry the torch… thanks, Marc.

    Intelligent people ask questions and follow only the citations with strong evidence. Salt is like white powder unless Tasted by the one who informs others its SALT. second thing is people would like to taste the white powder themselves to confirm its a salt.
