It’s still pretty wild how Cannonbolt in both the classic series and Alien Force is the first alien added to the roster of 10 in Ben’s base arsenals.

What the Finale wanted to do was show what the Omnitrix has always been for (universal peace, so much so that the watch's own symbol, which is the same as that of the Plumbers, is the symbol of Universal Peace),
and the Omnitrix has always been programmed so that you could transform into several different types of species and feel what their customs and powers are like firsthand.
The Omnitrix then managed to cure a race that was facing extinction due to their "pure" form of repr0duction (basically they were committing Inc3st) and mixed their DNA so that their race could continue to live.
If they get to omniverse I can't wait for Atomix to show for real and them just being like:
"IT'S FUCKING WAY BIG LET'S GO!!!"

The worst or walkatrout. Or even something like molestache. Finding a useful alien would be wasting time when he knows that the aliens he's already familiar with *can* work. Ultimately, it's smarter for him not to risk getting a useless random alien

yea which is why azmuth said the aliens are in categories of 10 for simplistic cases. It also why future iterations have a problem with ben being so much more powerful due to having way more aliens at hand that they have to put him in situation where he is restricted by either mistransformation or omnitrix is restricted

When they fail to realize that the Highbreed would still have destroyed countless alien civilizations even if the highest in chain of command is gone. Like just because the supreme council would unalive themselves, doesn’t mean they the ships and grunts would stop. Loyal to the end is what they believe in. Ben isn’t the person who saved the day, it was Reiny. Reiny stopped the countless Highbreed ships from all across the galaxy from destroying dozens of civilians. And that is what makes this Season Finale special. It isn’t Ben that solves the problem in the end. Sure he contributes. But it was his willingness to walk among other species was and his nature as a person. His previous actions brought upon this peace with the enemy.

He is the most pure one left and him being nobility and saying that while being partially impure has alot of credibility
I doubt Reiny would have been able to do the same thing without Ben there. I think the reason it happened is soley for Ben and is later on recognized as the hero of the universe so everyone sees him as the savior.

To answer a few of your questions during the episode:
1. Grandpa Max & his team showed up AFTER Ben & the others tried to take down portal gate, that's why they didn't just use it earlier since Max wasn't even around to see that they tried, or to even think that just destroying it was Ben's plan at all.
2. Julie standing on top of Ship as unrealistic or believable as it may seem is simply because Ben said everyone was supposed to have each other's back, so if she fell someone was supposed to be there to have her back, AND more likely it was just done because as we've seen in a previous episode Ship & Julie wound be willing to risk their lives for each other, do trust each other 100%.
3. Rynie (The Highbreed that Ben befriended) tried to tell Ben way back on when they were stuck together how he wasn't JUST any old leader Highbreed like the gang usually fought, but one of the purest & highest of high royalty within the Highbreed race. With royalty even irl usually having their opinions being held much higher then others or the same kingdom, race, tribe, ect., and being considered natural born leaders with good judgment calling skills.
I think a big part of you guy questioning so many writing choices with the characters & how things are handled kinda come from the fact that you all either overthink things in a fictional world, with it's own rules & norms, AND most of all, most of you just not growing up watching cartoons from around the era that this came out or the era before it. Or thinking like how a writer's probably did like what SeeOhKnee pointed out at 32:50.

2. I don't really think the point is someone will catch her. That seems quite outlandish to me, I think the fact that the ship is made from the goo her feet are literally glued to it and she cannot fall off. It is impossible to stand like that on an object that moves that fast so the only logical explanation is that the upgrade goo is sticking to her feet.

4. Yeah I think the finale was excellent. Their main problem seems to be that they didn't use enough aliens which is not really a great complaint in my opinion. Everything makes sense in my head and I think it's executed wonderfully.
Well Put
The only thing Gray Matter has on brainstorm is higher intelligence. Also that intelligence is more technological intelligence, where as Brainstorm is actually particularly good at physics and strategic thinking. Gray matter comes with major drawbacks as well, since he's smaller and more frail, Brainstorm is more battle ready and have powers beyond just being smart.

The producers also stated Ben transformed into Wildmutt off-screen. AND, all of the aliens Ben transformed during this episode - Cannonbolt, Way Big, and Upchuck, are now available for him to transform again since they've been unlocked after he transformed into them.
They also could’ve said he lost his virginity to Julie mid battle off screen. Doesn’t make it true, especially knowing how much the Ben 10 team had flip flopped on shit they say
There really weren’t any opportunities for Ben to do an off screen transformation, that explanation is just something the writers made up on the spot as a justification as to why Ben has certain transformations available next season despite the ending of this season stating that he reset to a new set of 10.

I think the reason why Ben is usually limited to 10 forms is because it's a manageable amount of choice for quick decisions.
According to research, the ideal amount of choice is something between 9 and 15 alternatives. Too few and you are constricted, but too many and you are overwhelmed.
That is because the average human can only hold about 7 options in their head at a time. You can divide the options into groups, pick the winner in each group, then make a group with the winners and pick from it, etc, but the more choices you have the more operations you need to perform to make a choice like that.
That's why people spend more time trying to find something to watch on Netflix than actually watching something on Netflix lol
It's also why I don't spend any time looking for something to watch.
I hear about something I watch it. I don't open a streaming service and look for something, because I'm probably not gonna find anything...
Only problem is that Ben has better options for the situation at hand and we have a future version of him who can juggle 10.000. This isn’t about quick switching in the heat of battle. This is picking an option which is most optimal and then stay until nothing works.
@@patrickzantomaster Except that ben has had many many years to learn about the Omnitrix whereas this been barely has many many seconds to choose aliens he's never seen, met, or figured out. Plus haven't these youtubers stated how OP this group of aliens ben has are? He's doing what he can with what he knows. Tbh, Ben needed more time to get to know his aliens before this battle took place. Stupid Azmuth, which is probably something he doesn't hear much. I guess he could have gone with an Alien he might have seen his older self use.
Riney did say he was from a influential royal Hybrid family during his episode. It was when he was saying his name and started monologuing about how influential his family is. He is not a peasant. More like a prince. Still silly though.
I like the idea that the highbreed council deferred to Rynie because he was the most genetically "pure" now, and by their own values that makes them an inferior race that has to listen to him.
Get yourself ready for Ben's character in season 3 cause... it's a lot to take in

Rhiney isn't just a dude who came in, said Ben was cool, and was made President. First, he has a noble lineage. But more importantly, he clearly already has experience having his DNA blended with "lesser beings." He's already gone through the soul-searching journey of self-discovery that literally every other Highbreed now needs to contend with. He's automatically like, a spiritual guru to his people. He can help them navigate this new life of "impurity." He can help them break down their old notions of genetic superiority and find new reasons to live, now that they have a second chance at life. Why WOULDN'T he be their new leader? If the entire human race suddenly got stricken with depression all at once, everyone would look to someone who was already suicidal at one point and learned how to love life again. We always stand on the shoulders of giants, we always learn from the struggles of the past so we can more efficiently navigate similar struggles in the future. The Highbreed are no different. This is new territory, and their leader should be someone who already knows how to handle it.
Don't bother trying to explain, these guys talk over each other and miss a lot of details, even the ones they did hear just end up forgotten.
In this second part (and the first), Ben unlocked the Master Control. And this allows him to transform into any alien just by thinking or shouting the name.

This is a major life or death battle. He can't risk turning into something he does not know how to use. Which is why he is sticking to the ones he has mastered.

I think the problem there was that when you say "You have access to all the aliens possible", you're kind of hyping the possibilities, only to then being given the awesome and useful features, but barely anything "new" which CAN be a downer depending on what exactly were you excited about it. Like it makes sense he would use what he knows, and i actually agree with you, but i get where they came from with that let down and to not see anything really "New".
Ben has a million aliens to choose from... But if you think about it he only knows like 24 from this show and the last. A few more if you include any that he's fought against! Would've been neat if we saw him turn into a Vilgax or something, seeing how strong that species is.

They don't mention this until much later, but everytime Paradox uses his abilities, the fabric of reality around him becomes a little bit thinner. Los Soledad's laboratory is paper-thin due to the time machine accident and the time monster emerging. If it collapses, the affected area will turn into a singularly similar to the one Paradox was pulled into. His only big weakness besides his ethical standing on not abusing godlike power

This hands down has got to be one of Ben 10's best finale among the OG's season 1 and 2. We get return of afew of our old aliens, Max and the Plumber Kids are back on Earth, Ben showing his leadership skills at its peak, and Ben singlehandedly fixing an entire alien civilization's problem. Can't wait for their reaction to next season's premiere (yeah, it has its problems, but a few great things happened)
I get wanting to see new aliens, but that'd be the worse idea for ben to start experiment with new ones in the middle of all this. He could transform into new ones, but he'd have no idea what they are capable of or vulnerable to. It's be so much more risky than working with what he already knows, and learning about the other in a less intense situation. I would agree that I wish we could have seen some classic ones at the least.
Damn imagine calling the best season of Alien Force mid….I can only imagine their thoughts on season 3. Also Ben cant just use any new aliens, cause he wouldnt know how to use them, also Reiny was like a duke of highbreeds so it makes sense why he could just walk in and become leader. It’s like they forgot all the setup throughout this season
Most of the reason WHY they think is mid is because they don't pay attention and forget details

While I am a bit sad at them missing the point of a few things, I do think the resolution shouldn't have been that quick. I think it should've been the same, but not that quick. Also their reactions to it are beyond hilarious.
Season 3 is not the best but it is worth getting through. Ultimate Alien will meet your expectations and take things to the next level.
Tbh it kinda did make sense about the ended, Reiny was a highbreed that was the first fused with other alien DNA and changed because he realized purity isnt whats important, staying alive is, and the high council understood this fact too after ben forcefully changed them, they only started this war because they were scared of death, and electing the first highbreed that supported Ben kinda makes sense to me personally. As he was the first to do away with his purity bias.
i love how they act like being able to have kids again and no longer believing your people will die soon wouldn't be a game changer. like they were legit gonna die out and were gonna take the universe with them and now they wont die out so they arent going through with it
I think Ben didn't use any new aliens with the voice control because he wouldn't know their name yet to do so.

I still remember when those episodes came out, man. Cannonbolt was my favorite alien as a child (and still one of my favorites nowadays) so i suppose you could imagine how hyped i got when i saw him again
I like how they had both the smartest aliens next to each other seeing who smarter. It’s obvious the galvins.
Some of the issues that come with alien force is the writers strike in 2007-2008, consider that was going on alien force turned out fairly good. Definitely could have been improved in some ways, but that's what happens when studios refuse to treat writers well and force them to strike for better working conditions.
I think the next season shows the consequences of the strike. The first two seasons of Alien Force were planned at the same time as the fourth season of the original series.

5:14 and 6:51 Heres a thought. After Azmuth unlocked the master control of the omnitrix, couldn;t Ben have asked Azmuth which of the aliens in the watch were among the Top 10 most Stongest or most powerful aside from Alien X. Ben could have then used 10 of the strongest Aliens in his watch for this dangerous mission.
Afterall, Azmuth created the watch and collected every sample of aliens inserted, so its logical that he would know or have some knowledge of which dna of alien species sampled in the watch would be among the top 10 strongest or most powerful. This logic is the very reason Azmuth was able to unlock Way Big for Ben during his showdown with Vilgax in the Ben 10 movie.

Adding new aliens to the roster in the middle of a war would be a wild card. Sure he got his butt handed to him the first time he transformed into Humongousaur, but he’s learned how to fight from Gwen since then. At this point in the series, he chooses aliens he knows are effective.

Although, you do make a good point about Ben’s aliens being too OP. Don’t worry, they get a comparative debuff in the next season.
I think I figured out why I like Omniverse over Alien Force OR Ultimate Alien (besides OV having the better artstyle), it's because Omniverse actually has Ben turn into a variety of aliens unlike this show. Really? Swampfire twice??
OV also brought a lot of previous aliens back like Grey Matter, Wildvine, the three Halloween aliens, Arctiguana, etc.
Omniverse really is the peak of the omnitrix, there's so many aliens of all seasons being used

@Serendiss FACTS! Considering that was THE Omnitrix, the final product, as Azimuth stated, it's definitely the best version! (Although I do prefer how the Ink Tank changed the way the dial worked in their 5 Years Later comic)

I was all for the Alien Force exclusive alien transformations, but seeing the ones from the OG series make a comeback in this show was pretty sweet.
Next season is gonna be lit. And next series gonna be more serious.
I agree about your complaints about Master Control not used efficiently and only same aliens being used and other points about DNAliens but not about others especially that point about Max destroying the jump gate, lets assume he destroyed it earlier, that would only solve the problem on Earth when other planets will still be at risk of extinction

This reaction is kind of special because of how far off they are from the general perception of this finale, to the point where i at least can't help but see where they're coming from, despite me disagreeing.
Like, the whole scene with the council is such a big deal and i know this finale is among the best in the fandom, so the idea of them tearing it apart and laughing their asses off by how they perceived the scene as "Dude walks in, says Ben's cool, and now he's president" just makes me appreciate the reaction in its own way LOL
If this was the last episode of the Ben 10 series, it would have been an awesome series finale.

If so, what are the chances that’s the next goal for Ash? Make a million different aliens for Ben? Obviously, that’s insane 😂😅, and this is entirely up to him and the team since they’re working on And Beyond and Ash is pretty close to finishing Ultimates for every alien Ben has canonically used as of the end of Omniverse. Still, that’d be pretty wild.
That would take a whole crew of people at the very least to design their own aliens, and not just a few like ,several hundreds if not thousands per person 😂
million aliens is A LOT, Ben Prime unlocked like 72 aliens (I believe?) and even they feel a lot

And this is why producers won't go with adult Ben show...cux by then he have master control and it be real hard to give reasons for Ben to be using new aliens when he has access to master control and just simply use what he knows and comfortable with instinctively in battle

Yeah I got to say as much I like Ben 10 I have to say the season finale of the second season of AF was super rushed, like they're alien nazis (just like another show they are watching, if you know you know) but one dude shows up and says "nah Ben chilling" and they are like 'NO WAY HE CHILLING🤯", two season of build up to this???, that's why I think season three of AF it's not bad at all.

personally I didnt find Ben immature, just saw him as acting as others of his age
Completely disagree, I think it was executed wonderfully and it took it's time doing side stories because season 1 was spent figuring out what they were doing. Season 2 was spent as kind of a way to explore some different story while each and every one of them acted as a small piece of the puzzle in the grand scheme of things.
We actually did take like a month long break before s3 and we finished it recently and loved it. We liked it way better than s2

Tbf Ben rewrote the Highbreed's DNA at the right moment. He needed testimony from Reiny (a Highbreed noble) to prevent further conflict from breaking out, and the tech of active dimension-hopping gates to get a wide enough effect.
For all Ben's flaws (esp post-season 2 UAF), a sentiment i get from his that he's not a god, that he can't just solve everything willy-nilly, that its unethical and can quickly spiral down a very dark path where no one can stop him. Alien X is to be used strictly as the last resort of last resorts. Like, the multiverse is actively-imploding levels of crisis and Ben's second-strongest reality-warping aliens can't do jack. Same sentiment to those second and third-tier aliens too (who are either immensely destructive like Way Big or control some fundamental force of nature to godlike extremes)
And Ben had always been someone to fight fair, he never switches to something ridiculously overpowered unless he had to. Be it by circumstances or rage.
I remembered the mixing of the High Breeds, but i didn’t remember it ending so simply. Now, I guess I know why. To me, it seems like they either needed another episode in order to keep from rushing the ending, or they were a little too eager to end this conflict and start on the next.
As far as the access to one million aliens tease, I can understand why they did it the way they did. It’s a safer bet to resort to aliens he already has experience with than some new, random one when they likely don’t have the time to figure it out on the fly. At least, that’s my head cannon. However, I hate that we don’t get a reason Ben favors specific aliens, even though he has others that would be more effective, like my personal favorite Big Chill. Invulnerability plus the ability to freeze, even no lethally, there’s no losing to anything other than a stronger type matchup or the plot.

I'll be honest as cool as alien x is he is too op and plus it would get boring quickly if he just only uses alien x and I liked how he used the omnitrix helped the hybrid with their genes instead of alien x. Besides the reason why ben still uses the alien force aliens during the finale is because the omnitrix has a Playlist that has 10 aliens per Playlist and it would have to unlock the others Playlists if ben wants his other aliens. The hybrid arc is one of the best arcs in the ben 10 series.
Also isn't Alien X both OP and broken at the same time due to the drawback of him being stuck forever in the dimension with those giant green heads? Like yes Alien X is essentially the strongest alien ever if you're able to use his powers, but that's part of their struggle, they actually cannot use them.

The overacting villian of Highbreeds is not the issues, it's just that it wasn't executed as well, and it's easier to notice that than week to week stuff.
It was kinda like the Steven Universe finale, gotta end the space wars quick and peaceful, PG wars lol.
I mean to be fair with the voice command he would still only know what Aliens he knows, & azmuth said they were separated by 10s right? it could take him years transforming into every alien & hours to find a specific one he needs

@Sorta Stupid , I agree with you guys. When I rewatch the series I would skip the fluff episodes in this season of alien force because it was lacking so much when compared to the other seasons. Also Way Big is the weakest strongest alien in the watch, he's Ultraman with less laser beams, and was just giant alien.
Funny enough his "ultraman signature move" with cross arm laser wasn't even used till so much ltr
Way big is ridiculously powerful I don't really know what you're talking about. You could say that four arms is just a dude with 4 four arms. Stinkfly is a big bug that flies. You can oversimplify every alien down to the point of demeaning it.

Ben’s use of the master control was underwhelming compared to Classic, also I’ve always felt retconning the alien total from around 10’000 to over 1’000’000 to be pretty pointless, like there never going to get anywhere near either number.
yeah OG Ben knew about voice control transformation and transforming by just thinking the alien in his mind and he did that without having Azmuth while AF Ben had Azmuth and still forgot about this feature
I also find it funny how we never got a new alien even tho in Classic in Ben 10K episode we got like 3 new aliens
Quick Change feature and getting rid of Mistransformations are another reason why Master Control feels lack lustre here

As much as I love Ninjago, I don't think it has much there for someone who isn't nostalgic. Plus, after Crystalised, it goes so far down hill and never truly recovers.
Something like Transformers Prime is far more deserving imo.

I mean, even with 1 million aliens to choose from, you gotta take into account that most of them are useless in these kind of situations.
Just look at the average human, and now think that most of those aliens are just like us, with maybe some talents, but overshadowed by others like Humongosaur or Big Chill.
I would still rewatch season 2 of alien force over season 3 and 4 of classic, especially season 4, that season is what I call lackluster. That's my opinion though.
