According to Wikipedia this train is called " the southern belle." It is a reaction of the original southern belle that they are operated up until 1969 along the same route.
And to think that at one time, multicolored streamliners, powered by cab units, and representing each private railroad, were the norm. I vaguely remember from my childhood, riding Southern's Royal Palm from Atlanta to Jacksonville, the Southern Crescent, and the white engines of Seaboard Air Line's Silver Comet.
@@LouisianaRailProductions Yes it was. And in Atlanta by 1972, both large downtown railroad stations were razed. They were once the epicenter of Atlanta travel but became parking lots.
Very nice, my friend! Saw it yesterday at Newton, tonight at Pearl, and plan to see it tomorrow in Vicksburg. Keep the quality content rolling. Thank you for sharing.
Louisiana Rail productions the first time I’ve ever seen the KCS holiday express was when the holiday express went to the dequincy railroad museum and I had a lot of fun during that time and sometimes every year I go to see the holiday express at the dequincy railroad museum and I always have fun when I see it over there.

The original route was KC to NOLA. KCS didn't aquire this line until the 90s.

Must've been quite the time to live in. Wish I could experience that.

Thanks! Glad you liked it!
Beautiful shot of the Belle! One note, the Belle scheme is red, yellow, and dark green on the cars, not black.

Yep it's definitely fun to see it. It's been a few years since I've actually gone through the displays.
Excellent catch of the KCS Holiday Express Bishop! I like the RL K5LA on KCS 1 (which used to have a P5).
Glad you enjoyed!
Awesome job, great vid, as I model KCS in n scale love to see those units...keep up the great work...
Always nice to see others modeling KCS!
You'd think they would fix that flat wheel spot on the caboose..
I was at the Deramus yard on the 3rd when she came back thru for the public event.
This thing is honestly insane
Agreed! Thanks for watching!
Whats insane is the amount of time I wasted recreating this train in Garry's Mod..
Beautiful catch on a beautiful day. Happy Holidays Bishop!
Same to you David! Thanks for watching!
Personally, I’ve only ever seen one KCS loco, it was one of their Southern Belle ES44ACs
Haha hope you get to see some gray units eventually!
