    The Yosh is by far my favourite sounding exhaust for this bike

    Thanks for posting this! It was great that you included the stock exhaust on camera to compare. My yoshi system gets here next week for my 12' Ninja 650. Can't wait!

    I have the same bike but in black. just installed the exhaust yesterday and it just sounds so DAMN GOOD. its way better in person no camara can really do it justice its just so good in person. this is the only thing I have done that's been done to the bike everything else is completely stock. it dose backfire at around 4to 5,000 rpm when you let off the throttle. its so good in traffic ppl actually hear you coming.

    I wish the 2012 gen bikes would allow a slip on. That's quite an investment for a full exhaust system.

    This is an excellent first street bike .. powerful enough that you don't get bored like on a 250/300, but not enough torque for you to really mess up on. This one is actually for sale right now if you're interested :D

    @FryeBros I did not put in a power commander. Everyone says you have to but I really didn't want to have to buy one. I live in Colorado and have only got to ride it a few times since the install since it is so cold here, but it seems to be running perfectly. No backfiring and it doesn't seem to be running lean at all.

    @WhoopingCof Sure will! I will put up a video of revving before and after too. In all these aftermarket exhaust videos nobody seems to go past 3 or 4k rpms.

  • @WhoopingCof
    @WhoopingCof  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    @Thunderbird2935 I was in my apartment complex parking lot and that yosh exhaust is so freaking loud that I couldn't rev it very high without pissing people off. The loudness just does not make it's way into the video.

  • @Ameyachamp
    @Ameyachamp 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    How many kms have you clocked since u have installed the exhaust? Does the exhaust make the throttle on of transitions any smoother?

  • @Thunderbird2935
    @Thunderbird2935 11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    One more question about the sport bars. If you've ever been on a supersport bike, how do they compare to the riding posture? I just rode an 04 cbr600rr for about 20 miles and it was a very comfortable, aggressive riding position. Getting back on my ninja 650 with the stock bars felt like being on a dirtbike.
    PS. Got my Yoshimura installed, it sounds awesome! My video will be up soon.

  • @WhoopingCof
    @WhoopingCof  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    I haven't ridden one yet, and to be honest I'm kind of aching to get one (I've sat on a few). How much faster was the cbr than your 650? The 650 sport bars are probably in the middle of the stock bars and the bars on the CBR. I'm excited to see your video, I'll sub you.

  • @Thunderbird2935
    @Thunderbird2935 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    hey i have the same bike, but i wondering what kind of handle bar system you are using??? i have been really wanting to do like clip ons, but its my understanding that they dont really go on very well for the 650. any help would be asom.

  • @WhoopingCof

    Question... Where did you get your handle bars from?

  • @WhoopingCof
    @WhoopingCof  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    No it didn't have a power commander, but it was running pretty rich so it needed one.

  • @Thunderbird2935
    @Thunderbird2935 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Brother...you can probably answer a question that I have been looking to get answers for a LONG time....did you put in a power commander??? I don't want extra performance out of my bike- just a nicer sound...so, do I NEED a power commander???? Thanks for any input!!! I have the exact same bike! Ride safe...

  • @taylorjesse21

    Okay. I have the 2013 Ninja 650. I'm still fairly new to owning a bike and I dont know too much about them yet. I was a little disappointed when I took it out and top speed is like 130. I didnt know if by putting a new exhaust on would help or if there was a governor that keeping me from going faster? I was talking today with a guy that had a Yamaha 600 (cant remember what it was) but he could go like 160.

  • @Bkr776
    @Bkr776 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    i have the same bike and i was wondering what you did about a fuel management system/ power commander? since its a full system you need it but ive heard with the ninja 650s you dont "need" one.

    • @Ameyachamp
      @Ameyachamp 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      tyler henning Basically if u wanna increase the power then u need the full set i.e free flow intake power commander / remapped ecu and the full system exhaust. If sound is all you are after and maybe making the throttle a little free then only the exhaust will suffice

  • @martinquinn3382
    @martinquinn3382 ปีที่แล้ว

    I like that sound, but for ma taste, more for a dual trail, or dirt. I had a Yosh on a KLR 650, was good. But the Yosh sounds better on 4 cylinders, I think.

  • @Ducster
    @Ducster 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    Quick question bro. . I just installed this very same exhaust on my ninja 650 too however I have one question, the exhaust tip is very close to the rear tire do you think this would cause the tire to melt and maybe explode?

    • @Ducster
      @Ducster 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yoshimura says is supposed to be close but not touching. A little under half an inch. I have 3400 miles on my bike with that exhaust and no issues yet.

    • @Ducster
      @Ducster 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wrote to yoshimura and they sent me a picture of how close the exhaust should be to the tire. I am unable to post that picture here.

    • @AmoBishop
      @AmoBishop 10 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That carbon fiber tip doesn't get that hot anyway. And with the tire moving and air moving around it, I doubt there's really any difference in the tire temperature.

      @Stryker425 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, you gotta flip the banjo bolt 180 degrees.

  • @WhoopingCof
    @WhoopingCof  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    @Thunderbird2935 I really really like them. I like a more aggressive riding position so this helps, and steering is noticeably better since your weight is more over the front wheel. I really hated how upright you have to sit with the stock bars. I got them off of ninja650shop(dot)com. I also recommend the yosh fender eliminator kit, it makes a world of difference when it comes to the look of the bike!

    Just some constructive criticism, but it would have been a better comparison to stock if you had done them in the same place. the stock sound was inside an enclosed garage while the Yoshi test was outdoors in the open. Makes it hard to tell the true difference

      It's a good tourer right?. What about the handlebars, sitting upright for a fast bike makes you feel a little disconnected. I am going to get one anyway. There's nothing good as Ninja650 at that price range

      @TheMMObro 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hari haran well mine has the sport bars so I'm a lil more leaned over. my back def hurts after a long ride. idk how it's lke with stock bars bc they're in my trunk lol, the guy i bought the bike from already had these on.
      stock bars are probably similar to the yamaha fz6r but the pegs on this are def further back. my friend has the fz6r and we bike swap sometimes. his is way more upright and begs are more forward. his bike is way heavier tho, even tho on paper it's only 10lbs, it feels way wayyy heavier
      i want a supersport but don't regret this bike at all, it's the greatest stater bike out there imo

    I've heard pretty much every available exhaust for a ninja 650 on youtube and the only exhaust that actually sounds anything remotely close to sport bike is the stock exhaust. Anything thing else and the sound of the bike doesn't match the look of the bike. Everyone knows a ninja 650 isn't a real sport bike but when people go changing the exhaust the sound of it is a dead giveaway for anyone within ear shot that someones riding a poser bike.

    • @08650rRider
      @08650rRider 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +1984sFinest A poser bike? Really? You must be one of those kids that bought a liter bike for the first bike to swing dicks around. The 650 is a great all around bike. While, I argue it is not the best beginner bike for reasons, it does do good in that regard as well as offer great cruising and performance when asked of those that know its limits.
      Anyone that calls any bike a "poser bike" is the same people that ride around on 600cc 4 bangers with slip on exhausts on the highway at 70 mph in 3rd gear cruising. Get the fuck out of here with that shit. My new 15 650r rocks socks in all regards. Let me know how long you can ride hunched over listening to your loud ass raspy slip on on a long distance trip without stopping.

    • @Pendragon501
      @Pendragon501 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      08650rRider I actually owned a 2012 650 so I have every right to say whatever I want about them. And yeah, it's a poser biker whether you like it or not! It's a glorified scooter which is why I only had it for one season. But you have fun putting around on your little boy bike and when you get a real bike, come on back and maybe i'll talk to you like a man.

    • @08650rRider
      @08650rRider 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +1984sFinest Ha. ok. let me see pictures of your one season worth of tire on the ass end actually worn edge to edge. Lets also see what you ride now., and its tire wear.
      Better yet, lets look at how stupid you sound talking about something as fast as an STI in a straight line, and call it slow. Get fucked mate, you make responsible owners look bad.

    • @Pendragon501
      @Pendragon501 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      08650rRider Awww, the kiddo is butt hurt because he's riding a 650. Don't worry squirt. Someday you'll get a real bike and everything I said about the 650 will make sense. 650 fast... comical!!! You crack me up.

    • @08650rRider
      @08650rRider 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +1984sFinest Naw, butter cup. The fact is you call it a poser bike. It is a "sports cruiser". It knows exactly what its doing when it leaves the house in that dress. No one (apparently you though) buys one to compete with a true "sport bike" or treat it as such. I bought one to cruise with a dash of sport. If I was in the market for true sport. I would have bought one.
      This is the same battle as a Harley rider waving his dick at a sports rider. Never said it was fast, I clearly said "as fast as an sti". Never claimed an STI is fast either.
