Get stuck with the wheel loader and drive on two wheels when I'm trying to pick up a big log I'm going to saw.
I use Logosol BigMill with Stihl MS881 to saw really big logs.
On the saw there is 167cm/66inc bar

Gday mate, I run a 84" Granberg Alaskan mill with a 84" GB cutter bar , I also use a 10 degree 5 skip tooth chain coupled to my stihl 880, for what I do cutting slabs up to 1850mm wide this is the most cost effective way to process my timber albeit more labour intensive, thanks for sharing your video

Very nice sawmill.
There is something I miss in every demo video and that's how during the installation of the first cut, the second bracket is leveled with the first bracket. How much time does it take to install the sawmill for the first cut?

It normally take 5-10 min for the first cut. 30 seconds between cut I think

Har bara kört med alaskan mill, men den där såg riktig smidig ut. Gör som du, måttar och utgår från centrum i båda ändar. Men tycker du det har någon betydelse var sen sågsnittet hamnar? Om du är med hur jag menar, om mittenplankan får kärnan var det nu än hamnar. Eller om det är bättre att försöka måtta från centrum och få sågsnittet rakt i märgen.

Efter som en stock sällan är helt rak. Försöker man då klyva kärnan, kommer man pricka den i änden där man börjar och slutar snittet. Sedan inne i stocken kommer den troligen vandra upp och ned lite granna med risk att man får den i båda skivorna. Jag brukar försöka centrera kärnan i en skiva så den kan vandra lite upp o ner men fortfarande bara stanna i en skiva. Sedan är det dåliga runt kärnan en ca 1,5-2cm cirkel som ger mycket spänning

Invest in a spud and remove as much of the bark as you can prior to milling. Takes a few extra minutes but your chain will stay sharp for much longer.
