yup! I have a 10.5 tog super king duvet that I was and dry regularly, its a coverless one from M&S , I do dry this by itself, I also dry Super king sheets fit and flat and the matress protector together, on the cotton and bedding setting the drum rotates both ways , but because of the size of the drum they don't ball up anyway, il also film a clip of this for you also next time I dry these things,!
@@pointofmyreview Thank you and yes, please do film it in action with bedding. I have 8kg shitty candy that actually does the job just for duvet, but it balls up all the sheets you throw into it. @@lucasmaccloudI will try my best for you to get it filmed, these came with standard uk plugs, they're actually sold in other places in the UK but are called 'semi commercial washer and dryer' I just wanted to take advantage of my Costco membership and the return policy if there was anything wrong, because theres so many unknowns, for example on the Samsung uk website it has them listed (as well as pics) of the washer being hot and cold fill… its not, just standard cold fill.. and the drain pipe is also the standard size! hurrah! These machines are getting more popular, LG are selling 12kg for £1100 at the time I paid £1349 for these… well worth it.
Hi. Great video. How does the "time-dry" work? Reason for asking. I have very delicat goose duvet. They never dry in ordinary dryers due to the sensors, that stops the dryer before everything is dry. Well, they dry up eventually, after the sircle 30. Is "time-dry" dealayed time, or can you actually choose time - how long the dryer shell dry before it stops? Thanx, Jonny, Norway
@@charlesmaxwell9509 I’m not too sure what your asking me? I bought them at Costco, and they delivered them, and I plugged them in? Nothing special was needed they all fit standard pipes and plugs, here in the UK at least, the machine are huge and not standard EU sizes, these are downstairs in my house…
@pointofmyreview wondered really will definitely have a look on Costco then just wowondered if they were downstairs or upstairs incase they were like currys for delivering
How often you have to clean condenser? Does this filter block all dust or not? In smaller dryer there is no that filter, so i need to have 3d printed holder. If you have a time can you measure size of your filter? Maybe its the same for all dryers and i can purchase it for mine
There’s a button that lights up when it’s time to clean it, it does come with a extra filter to place in front of the condenser, and it does block most stuff , I’m travelling at the minute but il be happy to measure it when I’m home, message me in 2 weeks if your interested and il do the measurements for you
Hi again! yes! all fine here too. I even time it sometimes to make sure the drying performance hasn't changed, and its still on point, with the same times as day one, hopefully they will both be fine for years to come,
Hello! Wonderful video, super helpful! Im currently in Ireland and these are the only large washer and dryers I can find. I have an 8kg dryer and 9kg washer, both Samsung. I like the washing mashine but the dryer isn’t great. You seem to have a good experience with this 16kg dryer. How long for a very large load? I know you mentioned that you have filled it up and it doesn’t take two hrs. That’s music to my ears. Any other advice for the dryer?
Hi! I lived in Ireland so I know your need for a dryer! Lol.. I have had these for months now. With no issues, I literally have to wait to fill up the dryer, as I said it’s heat pump so they will always take longer, for example, I wash towels on one day, so I collect them all week and Sunday I wash and dry them all together, this includes, 6 bath sheets, 5 regular towels and many hand and face towels, it can dry the full load on the cotton setting in about 1 hour 30- 1 hour 40 mins, if you choose the towel setting it takes near 2 hours because it does make sure it’s extra dry, .. but I see it as I have dried a weeks worth in 1 load, not in 2 or more loads.. if that makes sense, the other advice I have is keep the condenser clean as it can’t be removed so follow the instructions on that will help it’s longevity, also I don’t think it can be put in a garage as it needs to not be freezing temp in winter for the heat pump To work… other than this I love this dryer, I dry duvets in maybe a hour, full load of clothes in maybe a 1: 15, then when I take everything out it’s about 2-3 large laundry baskets full… it’s amazing.. if you have any other questions feel free to ask me.. I hope this helps!

@@skfiii357 Hi again! right so I have tried my best with this fro you, from the fluff filter to the back of the drum, the depth, is 25-27 inches, and the diameter is about the same, I hope this helps you.
I hope that since it’s built in Korea, and not America it will help, my aunt has one since 2015 used everyday and nothing has happened to it, fingers crossed anyway!
Didn’t know there was a lot of heat pump dryers in the USA, thankfully these ones here in Europe are not made in the USA so hopefully they will perform better,
The dryers are fine, but the washers suck in the long run. And no these aren’t made in the USA, they’re made in Korea, and mechanically the exact same as the USA because this is the American sized model. So many bad reviews and technicians don’t ever recommend them here. LG is the one company that I have a positive experience with that technicians also love. But hopefully ur unit lasts longer though.
@@Ikey04-ge9gy yeah I hope it lasts a while too! Ironically I have had the worst luck with LG, squeaky drums, bearings fail, balance issues, and then the dryer broke with in 6 months and had to be fixed under warranty, it wouldn’t turn on, but if you reached in and spin the drum it turned on, something to do with the control panel, I do hope these last a while.. but cest le vie, if they don’t il try something else..
Yup! Sucks that you had issues with LG. The American sized LGs always top the charts for reliability and cleaning. European sized LGs though are a different story and I’m not sure why there is such a massive difference in quality despite being from the same factory.

how much KW does this use for a typical dry cycle?
In the smarthings app you can see, and it says 0.6-1.5 kWh, that’s what it ranged from last week, this is usually clothes and towels and bedsheets

I’m not sure! But I can tell you that nothing I’ve dried takes more than 2 hours, it’s usually the 1:20/1:30 mark.
These usually don’t take as long as EU dryers because they have much more space inside which also means much more airflow
