Also extend the time in this to allow for more tactical approach.

Not wrong, matchmaking in any game sucks, the way they work is so bad
If your individual stats are strong, they pit you against at least 2 players that are equal your level or all slightly lower than you
While your teammates are all below average for said elo due to own stats "compensating" for the balance
Which becomes the point where everything rides on you to get minimal 3-4k b4 you die so the rest can have a fighting chance against the last 1-2
