as soon as i saw the first images for Bebop and Rocksteady i wanted them regardless...i cant wait to get these, they are my favorite henchmen of all time

I just got this figure a while ago and I looked at the bottom of the packaging before I opened it and it said “wall-rolling feature” which was a bit weird, so when I opened it up the first thing I did was look behind and lo and behold, there was a wheel on his back. I certainly would’ve been more confused if I hadn’t seen the bottom of the packaging before I opened it.
When I first saw Zeck in the show, I should have known he would become Bebop at some point. I mean, the bright blue Mohawk and Geordi LaForge style visor were a dead giveaway! What is wrong with me? Then again I was in the hospital under heavy medication when I watched the episode. But I digress. I wonder if he still oinks between sentences? They could make it into a verbal tick that he's self conscious about and gets all flustered and mad every time he does it. >w
Anyone notice that there are 2 different color variations? There is a light skin and dark skin variant. I have no idea why, but I have the dark skin in the original package and am on the hunt for the light skin variant in the original package.
Bebop looks different than the animation version.. Playmates does that, they change some of the characters from the animation and make them etiher more comic or old cartoon style.. Such as this figure.. And looks much better than its animated version.. Great job just great.. Cant wait to buy one..
I am very interested in these new versions of the characters. Considering we've seen their human forms in the show, and they aren't the sort of classic dopey characters they used to be it will be interesting to see smarter versions of the characters.
I agree that the sculpt looks fine, but for me I like the second released figure the most. Totally bad ass. This model's clothing that your reviewing, to me seems like they either got lazy or didn't want to finish painting.

I dont mind their new styles but OMG! What is wrong with playmates & them skipping soooooooo many needed paint apps & the figures being off scale? The vintage tmnt figures were FULL of great paint apps for the 80z/90z... I dont even want to display these on my shelf because of how off they look. I know they're $9 figures but jeez! Cheap corner cutting imo... The first wave of the turtles from this line were good (turtles only).. The rest suck! Beebop & Rocksteady are the last two figures i buy from this line unless i see some major changes...
Seeing who the character is in the show and what he becomes, the Bebop makes sense, but not the best. The head works well though, I just hate the color clothing. It's boring and when compared to the picture on the back, the coloring is actually completely wrong. Seems they rushed this one. Wished they had picked a different character for it. I liked that he had a sort of badass puck/metal dude kinda look in the original show. At least Rocksteady looks alright from the small picture.
I think it would be awesome if the 1988 Bebop & Rocksteady got the re-release treatment again for the 30th Anniversary. I'll probably buy these ASAP. Also, I hear Hun (from the 2003 series) will be in the 2012 series as well, but I don't know when.

Hardly the descriptions of the original characters. I love the originals but liked fishface and dogpound (not that nightmare fuel, rahzar) and thought they fit well into the mold as mutant henchman. Its the same reason why im worried about them showing up in the next tmnt movie. You just KNOW michael bay will "update" them into some kinda stereotypical caricatures, mutant versions of Skids and Mudflap. It seems the only place they got updated versions that are true to the originals is the current TMNT comic by IDW. Its a must read.
