Please buy all your baby stuff throughout the pregnancy, not closer to the due date. The sooner you get ready the less you have to worry about. Buy diapers and wipes regularly and create a stock pile so that you don't have to worry about that. Get varying sizes, get a care kit, get the safety kit. Don't buy formula until you know what the baby cam handle on their tummy.
Taking baby classes really helped my husband and I about what expect and what to do. Of course it’s all a learning experience and it takes time to adjust as new parents and as a couple ❤️❤️

It’s actually a really good idea to start stocking up on nappies and wipes and all necessities asap. You go through sooooo many so quick! You’ll be very happy you stock up before baby arrives. You hardly have time to be a human let alone doing constant restocks. 😊
Going from Shane and watching when he first began his channel To seeing him be with ryland and his family preparing for a baby is something that makes me so happy. It weird how you can love and be proud of someone you have never met. I'm so glad they found each other.
Y’all will be ok especially with a supportive family! I worked in early childhood education and I would highly recommend taking an infant/toddler CPR course as well as a general brain development course(s) for infants and toddlers. It really helps to know choking hazards and also have confidence to safely deal with choking when it happens. Having an understanding of brain development for both male and female brains at birth helps to understand what they need as far as stimulation and general guidance for exploring their environment. Love the names as well! ❤

I highly recommend cloth diapering! I loved it, and 100% stand by the fact that cloth diapers are the reason my daighter was potty trained by the time she was 1.5 years old! Never got diaper rash, and theyre so eco friendly and so much easier, in my opinion. I LOVE CLOTH DIAPERING!

They will only be a baby for a year, and will be an adult the majority of their life. It helps to picture them as an adult when choosing a name. 💜

I’m so incredibly happy for yall! As a single mother of 3 who gave birth completely alone the 1st & 2nd time, seeing yalls excitement & support for one another really touches a soft spot in my heart… I don’t have family & their father was in prison so I was in my own. I let my anxiety dictate my entire life from pregnancy up until my 2nd son was born. I regret feeling so….unable & incapable of enjoying all the “pregnancy firsts”, hiding how vulnerable I felt because I had no parental figure to turn to, & not allowing my friends to help even though I desperately needed it. Burden complex is a tough one to overcome… anyways! Y’all did soooo amazing, 9/10! Would’ve easily been a 10/10 but y’all grabbed Huggies instead of Pampers swaddlers!
I made the same mistake & let me tell YALL… lordddt, talk about a *major blowout!* I was naive enough to assume my son had a blowout because I fed him too much, finally went after being constipated, something along those lines. Since I had a HUGE box of over 200 Huggies, I still used them until *more blowouts happened!* Not a SINGLE issue in public even though we introduced him to soft foods/drinks while out, went longer periods of time between changes, more movement aka easier bowel movements, etc. I was so confused until my husband realized we had *pampers* in the diaper bag all along & Huggies in our room lmfao
I know everyone & every little one is different but for myself & my 3 boys; *Pampers* have always held strong against the toughest circumstances, meanwhile Huggies leaked like crazy even with the best variable’s possible! To this day if Pampers are sold out, I 100% buy whatever generic diapers are available instead of paying 2-3 times the price for the same quality!
Same. I was 17 and was ashamed 😔 But I raised her and she is a great young lady now in her first year in college!! I am happy for her but I am now lost because my entire adult life was all about parenting her and now I am so depressed. My doctor says I have Empty nest syndrome 😢

I recently had a baby and worked with infants for five years definitely recommend taking a parenting class. You guys are going to do great! Also, before you make a baby registry, ask moms, you know what they recommend or join a baby due date group whenever you find out the due date those mom suggest all the good things.

When changing poopy diapers I also use a little warm water to give an extra cleaning. It really helps to keep diaper rashes or redness down. Congrats again! Can't wait to see your babies! ❤❤

I love seeing both of you getting so excited about having a baby! 💗 And you can tell how excited your family is as well. Shane and you will be incredible parents! 💞 And a couple of diaper changing tips. If you are changing a boy’s diaper, use the old diaper as a shield while you are cleaning and putting the new diaper on because sometimes they pee while being changed and that way it won’t end up in your face. And for girls, to prevent an infection, always wipe from front to back (even if it is just pee).
