Hallo Flag desk, I love this presentation video how to treat and replace your flag, very usefull info you gave me and other viewers. Now I know more about the time how long a flag will excist before to replace it and its parts as swivel and snaphooks... Keep the good work going Flag desk runners..
I have 2 flag poles, one is an 18' valley forge pole, and the other is a superior 1 20' telescoping flag pole. Both fly annin 3x5 poly-cotton flags. I love them!
Wow the 20 foot flagpole he put up 21 months ago from 2014 to 2015 it's still in good shape but the flag and the rope is not likely he came to check up on it but it still an awesome flagpole though guess the silver rope was too thin for the flag and flagpole guess they needed a bigger rope.
+JAY T. This is a 5x8 flag. It is a little big for normal 20 ft. flagpoles, but the weather is mild and the flagpole is strong enough with the rotating truck. Happy Flag Flying!
+FlagDesk-FlagRunners Wow what was the wall thickness on that flagpole? Im in Michigan in the metro detroit area my flagpole has a wall thickness of 0.65" and is rated for a 50mph wind speed. Do you think the flagpole will hold up good? in my area?
Kayden Vatne no! 5x8 is about as large as you can put on a 20 ft pole if just using one flag. 4x6 for the top flag if you have 2 flags on same pole and preferably 3x5 for the bottom one
+Kayden Vatne Residential quality poles (generally 3” or less butt diameter, non tapered, and sectional) should fly nylon 3’ x 5’ flags. Commercial quality poles (generally 4” or greater butt diameter, tapered, and one piece) can fly polyester and 4’ x 6’ flags (single flag). 5’ x 8’ is honestly too large for a 20’ pole... +Monty Burns It’s preferable for both flags to be the same size so they look even (Two 3’ x 5’ on 20’ pole) with the exception of some flags like the POW-MIA or Gadsden which look good a size down from the top (4’ x 6’ US, 3’ x 5’ bottom on 20’ pole).
