Do you need to take a lie detector test for this mos? My recruiter said something with intel jobs requiring it. Obviously this isn’t an intel job, but does it require it? Heard those can give faulty results.
I was one. When you’re at 30,000 feet, it’s pretty important not to load flammables next to or above explosives, etc., 🙀🙀🙀🫣🫣🫣 you have to be really sharp when loading maybe 60,000 lbs of everything and anything to the walls and top !
By the time I left the Air Force, I was a freakin’ expert and I still hadn’t gone it alone. AND, if you pee in your pants just a little bit the first few times, congratulations, you’re normal !
If you are going to get that degree, which is fantastic, and I highly recommend, why not just become a pilot at that point? Plenty of slots available in the USAF currently with the shortage, and if you wanted, you could even go Navy too. The officer life treats you nicer along with better pay, and can take you further later on. The pilot job is much more marketable after your service and from my own experience extremely fun. Best of luck!
@@awesomeairplanememes great point but my eyesight isn’t good enough to be a pilot without correction and loadmaster doesn’t require as good of eyesight plus i’m in love with the loadmaster job so i’m currently in college for my bachelors

Hi, I'm here bcs I remembered my bf singing a cadence with C-130 in it. Little to no knowledge otherwise. Y'all just throw cargo with parachutes out the back? How do you know if it's landed safely? Or in the correct place?
For the most part we carry normal cargo such as pallets, passengers or vehicles. We only do airdrops for training or real operational missions We rig and configure the cargo to ensure it exits the aircraft safely. As long as we properly do our job we should be good. However, malfunctions that happen outside of the aircraft and outside of our control are usually not our responsibility. An investigation would be launched but once we’re cleared that would be it on our part We know where to airdrop our cargo thanks to our flight plan which tells us where to go, and whenever we fly over the drop zone we get clearance from them to drop.
That mask and helmet look cool as hell
Being a Loadmaster is one heck of a great profession! Try it.😊

Shipping out this April for it, super excited!!
Try not to be too nervous. They’re going to train the crap out of you ! You’ll be fine. It’s one of the better jobs to have during a conflict/war.

The power of the C130 is indescribable ! The pilots can fly that huge aircraft like a sports car if they have to.
My favorite cargo plane 🇺🇲🦅
Best enlisted job there is. Load Clear!!!
I’m gonna be a loadmaster soon whatever it takes. Off to college for now, USAF next step 🙏

Amazing
Pls respond with is better c-130 or a400m I want to fly the c-130 or the a400m in the USAF 😊
USAF doesn't operate the A400M. The C-130 is an amazing airframe though
