Thanks for the continued 🔥 content. As a kata player, these vids on the leaders I struggle with are essential. Thank you 🙏🏽. Maybe tips on Pluffy v Kata? The only matchup I haven’t seen to find a way out yet. TIA
It's so much easier seeing it as a back seat player. When you are playing, sometimes you don't see the errors. This is why this is so useful to observe. I saw the errors before you even mentioned them which leads me to believe that I'm getting better at the game? 😅or maybe again, it's just easier to not make the mistakes when I'm not the one actually playing. I still have a terrible win-loss ratio.
Katakuri can be frustrating if he starves you out and just stalls for 10c BM. So, a deck with low removal to break their stalling seems to really struggle against Katakuri. Though, on the flip side a deck that can draw a ton and swarm the field seem to beat Katakuri pretty badly as he cannot stall out for BMs.
Very informative! Quick question though, I’ve seen a lot of your videos where you mention, “math it out.” when trying to go for lethal. Can you make a video about the process in what you mean by “math it out” ? Please and thank you Heart Pirates TCG 🙏
fundamentals, swing 5k-7k-9k depends on his hand size you want to check if he can guard it by two cards do it in ascending order. but in yellow its different since they trigger alot they set up early like triggering blocker for late game or bege
I wish we could play with both English and Japanese cards in a deck so we could help make the deck instead of playing copycat.if a leader is being overused and getting very powerful instead of Banning multiple cards that can hurt the other leaders just ban the problem leader
The only problem with videos like this is if you change your plays your opponent might not do what they did either, but it's good to think outside the box or differently than what you normally do to see other options
Very true but these are best practices going into yellow to counteract what they normally do. If they try changing their plays like gedatsu instead of big mom they just make mistakes
@@heartpiratestcg yea the best way I found to deal with yellow is maybe 1-2 swings a turn while building a board state and hopefully by then you got them down to 3 or 2 life and go all in after
@@patar949as a Kata player if I see someone doing that it’s not a bad thing for me if you try to push for game in 1 turn against yellow you get hurt hard by a good trigger especially into Kat where they have there best ones stacked at the bottom then you have to hope we’re not at 10 Don because a 10 mom + leader + amaru swing crack back is deadly
Aggro early against kata is the obvious line. Mid to late game, are we just hoping they dont chain 10 moms? Thats some invisible pressure we face when games draw out. Any advice?
hey -- sorry trying to learn. when a card says "give up to one opponent character -1 cost" what does that exactly mean? i might be overthinking it in my head lol
if he has a 4 cost character on board you will reduce its cost by -1 so he has 3 cost until the end of turn. you can play multiple cards to reduce the cost to be able to play a card with "K.O. an opponents character with x cost"
I do feel the great eruption was the best first trash here though. Trashing Hina without rebecca or a backup hina in hand feels awful when you actually need to hard play Hina/Lucci, like what happened in this game. You can also potentially Hina/Hound Blaze their 5don card on T3 if you draw into the HB. You can Great Eruption/Leader effect/Hound Blaze, but you are committed to swinging with borsa at that point, and putting Hina on the board for tempo feels better than drawing a card imo. Obviously the state of the game changes as more cards are being drawn, but this would be my thought process with that starting hand.
In my opinion he’s not going to be hard playing hina with the curve he has so great eruptions a cycle card that cost reduces his triggers to hound blaze range and he can dig for Mancherry and Rebecca in the process. But he played very well minus a few mistakes that came up
Idk why I'm ALWAYS falling behind and not keeping up in Kata games. THANK YOU FOR THIS!
Very informative as usual. Great vid

Even though I don't struggle with Katakuri ( mainly cause i play r/g Law) I still love to watch these videos, keep it up👍

Why did he put 2 don on the hina ?
Sabo 5c and Rebecca 4c = 9 don. Would have been fine.

Depends on your deck but if you have blockers you have to be patient and play around triggers
@@heartpiratestcg playing enel currently, so sounds like ill need brulee outside of the 4 sanjis

Overall the plays felt good other than not being careful on triggers and putting that 2 don on Hina.
