Amanda, NICE job of the overview of the festival; you really caught the sense and spirit of it (from someone who has attended many years); and Peggy thanks for the extensive sheep-to-shawl coverage; I did not end up coming back on Sunday and so I missed it; your coverage gave me the opportunity to experience it at least virtually. So happy that "my" Chesapeake Fibershed team placed third! This was the fibershed's first time having a team; I'm very proud of them. AND how great to see the young people participating! So nice to meet you Saturday. Hope you get home safely.

Thanks for capturing and sharing the Sheep to Shawl Competition! They stopped having it at the State Fair of Texas years ago so it was fun to see the one at Maryland Sheep and Wool. Thank you for sharing!! I did a Sheep To Shawl with Carolina Fiber Fest several years ago. It was an absolute blast! What fun watching them work the fiber into those gorgeous shawls. Makes me want too be sure to get back up to Maryland next year!

Well that’s a huge event!! I wish they wouldn’t include the shearing in the speed part of the Sheep to Shawl, to protect the animals more. 🐑
