I worked at McDonald's for 15 years. Every time I had to move, I'd grab as many boxes from there as I could. I found out that the fry boxes, egg boxes, and happy meal toy boxes were the best. The egg boxes have handles
Yes egg boxes are the best for moving!
Yes. Those along with banana and liquor store boxes are the best.

I feel you! Moving my plants was one of the worst parts of moving. I had a small backyard nursery and my personal collection. In retrospect, I should have rented a small truck and sold off more. Lesson learned. Thanks for sharing your process. ✌
I'm in trouble when I move again. I collect plants, books and pottery.
Well packed books will at least be fine, but plants and pottery....oof.
@Heather DJ Apart from major furniture, your collection has to be the heaviest things you can own. Just hire a gaggle of young muscular guys to help you through the trauma. :) Good luck to you!
Well done, sir! This was really helpful. I think we’re moving this year too. No idea how many plant babies we have but between our Aroids and cactus collection I’m a little bit terrified of trying to move this uh... situation. I better start preparing now. 🌱🌵😂

Congratulations on your new place. Thank you for doing what appears to be a monumental task, and you don't even look overwhelmed. Instead there is a calmness tinged with a sense of adventure, which is encouraging and I don't even have half the amount of plant-babies you have. May it all go well.

I have decided I’m never moving and my kids can fight over the plants when I’m gone.

I love watching you and wish you good luck on your big move! That being said, I would never let my collection get this big. It just takes so much care and time. I don't know how you do it. I have about 50 indoor plants and 2 veggie gardens and I am always tending. While it is super rewarding, it is a lot of work.
In my experience is the veggie garden that is making feel like you are always looking up for your plants. They take much more management that the indoor ones (unless your indoor collection has very "moody" plants) I personally avoid high maintainance plants for my indoor collection. The strawberries and the tomatoes attracts enough pest by themselves that I'm always fighthing something 😅
I noticed you have a few begonias in cloches. Can you do a video talking about how to care for a begonia in spag moss in a cloche? I've never owned a begonia before, but i finally found one I LOVE, but I think she might be out of my abilities to care for (like needing to be in spag moss and in a cloche). Any info would be greatly appreciated! Feel free to break it way down like you're talking to a child because I literally don't even know how I would water the plant if it's in spag moss in a cloche. Thanks!!

People clowning over your use of Chick-fil-A boxes like you went there and paid for them 🙄 You’re repurposing trash, please relax y’all? So incredible to see your moving process! I moved for the first time last summer and it was only twenty minutes away, so I just packed the cab of my truck with as many plants as possible and drove the slowest route possible! Always an adventure.
Exactly my thought...how are you going to move all those babies?? I won't move specifically because I'm worried about my plants haha!

OMG I feel you Nick! I recently moved out to a new studio and my collection of plants are not as much as yours. Probably close to 100 and it took me 10 trips with pick up truck within 16 kilometers. Back and forth, no more moving out!

Just recently moved my small jungle of 100+ plants. Potting duplicates into the same pot helps so much! 🌱 thank u for the tips

We moved from Texas to Colorado last year. Packing and transporting my plants was stressful so I don’t envy you. Good luck with your move.

I can’t wait to see how you arrange them in your new apartment. I have close to 500 but most are on the front and back patios because my cats won’t leave them alone. I would dread a move but I’d do it because I’ve had these for years and l just love them.

OMG! I am watching this and thinking you have so much more work to do and exhausted just thinking about it. But you'll get it done and the new apartment is going to be fabulous! I only have a fraction of the number of plants you have and if I ever moved I would be more concerned about the plants then my furniture...so I'm never moving...LOL!

Oh my goodness, I've already been thinking how I want to move my plants by myself when I move. Thanks for the little tips and box ideas, I am always so scared to move a plant's leaves a tiny bit because I'm just paranoid to hurt them 😅
I think that's a great way to do your plants two boxes and a crates I like the crates a lot that's a lot to move but I know once you get it done you'll be happy👏👏🤟🤟🥰😍🤩🧡💛
I think it makes easier since you’re moving within the same city. When I moved into my house now, I didn't have alot of plants. So glad to see the packing videos for the future
Books and plants probably make up 1/4 of my move right now...but it’s worth it!

I knowit is probably too late to help you move but I was thinking as you showed your vining plant to keep it from getting tangled with the plants beside it in the Box you could put it into those plastic bags that they put your things in the store. that would separate it from the other plants still leave air because it's opened at the top and then you could just rip the bag off when you get to your new place. Maybe it'll help somebody else! take care

I’ve moved 8 times over quarentine and definitely lost some plants in the process!! But it was worth it and I’m happy with the ones I have now

Sorry but I do not see the need for so many. I have a green thumb and I do love them but .. once a plant reaches a certain fullness, I sell it and replace it with a different variety, looking for new challenges. Now exploring small indoor trees ( tangerine tree, lemon tree, palm, 6 foot high ficus) , flowering plants (geraniums, tournesol, hoya) and tomato plant under a grow light. A happy dozen of well maintained is sufficient to enjoy for me.
