Watching you watching the storm made me want to watch the storm. I think that’s what I want most, a place to just sit and feel nature, be surrounded by natural beauty. I love your little deck to drink wine and watch the sun go down too. Dreamy! You are blessed.
The first bird sounds, like screeching are owls. I live in the North Yorkshire Dale's and I hear this most nights and sometimes get to see them. They all seem to hold conversations with others in the neighbourhood and it's fascinating to listen too. Enjoy them. They are a real delight. Thankyou for great vlogs I do so look forward to them, please keep them coming😊
'I may have drank the whole bottle' and now I have a conero on my head😁. Great display of creativity setting up the pergola and putting the framework against the wall and doing work for two! You can add that to your curriculum😂!
I’d like to suggest that the next time you need to get under the lawnmower and fish something out of the blade, you use extreme caution, you don’t want pent up compression turning that blade if you remove a jam, or even worse potentially starting it…the spark plug wire should be removed before putting hands in there…
Great video Richard You may have changed plans, but you got a lot done on your home Small window is so beautiful You can use it for another project other day Yes a very beautiful countryside and love your view as you relax in the evenings Happy you got your shower fixed and so much cheaper Take care and prayers for all your travels See you in the next video ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Progress is progress Richard. Plenty of things to do and you don’t seem to mind if you have to crack on with another job from the one you intended to do. Great viewing as usual 👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻
Hi Richard, The Brit’s do mention the weather, more than I can remember 😊 My niece stayed with me, in Brisbane Australia 🇦🇺recently, everyday she talked about the weather😁I’m sure I never mentioned the weather,so much when i lived in the UK😂 We’ve just gone through winter, some days we’re 30c not easy working in it 🥵 It’s amazing what you manage by yourself, when you need to!
I so look forward to your videos. Your filming standard is on the up and up. I love how you turned the two person job into one, putting up the canopy. Brilliant! And laughed when you said that you'd drunk the whole bottle of wine! We can always blame the high evaporation rate on the heat.... I'm so glad that you've connected with others in the area. It will be a welcome diversion from the chores. Im looking forward to seeing the properties that might be for sale in this beautiful area. If only I were 20 years younger.
Hey Richard, enjoyed the video as usual. Just a quick idea, if you have a fair bit of cardboard you could put it out on the ground as a weed suppressant which would help in your workload with all the strimming as well? Remember to weigh it down with Earth so it doesn’t blow away!
It's not the size of the chisel that matters, it's what you do with it that counts. I remember lots of thunderstorms in the Marche at the end of August 1991. Perhaps it's a time of year thing. If you're looking for inspiration for something to plant.....think of lavender. Loves scrubby land, lots of sun, thrives on neglect, but MUST be pruned once a year. Produces beautiful aromatic bloom.
I am so impressed with the work you are doing all by yourself. Everything looks great. Beautiful scenery. I look forward to your videos. Joanne from Dallas,Texas
Blimey Richard, I thought you were back in Manchester for a minute with all that rain. 😆😆Beautiful sun set. How do you manage to work on the house and work at the same time. Cool drain cover. Hope your putting sun cream on, might be better to also wear a hat. I got skin damage on my face due to not taking precautions. It like having sand paper on your forehead. Cheers Tony.
Hello Richard. Keeping that yard area trimmed is a big job. Every video you have to do some type of cutting. Guess it’s better than shoveling snow. Thanks for the entertainment.
Love your videos! Italy is very special and beautiful for me. As a teenager I was in Senigallia. Well done Richard 🤩Please, protect your ears by working with loud machines 😉 Greetings from Austria
Yes, pretty sure it was. I used to have them in my garden and recognise the call. In my part of the world, they're called 'cucuveaua', which is somewhat onomatopoeic I guess.
Hey! Rich another gr8 vid. That window will be an asset and a plus for a gr8 view. Nice work on the gazebo (two to assemble??? bah humbug) 1 rich job done. Your becoming quite the local (well done) Many thanks await the next vid. Cheers
I know it may sound obvious, but if you are cutting the window opening and are Ok with your measuring, you can always cut from outside in, you could save yourself a ton of mess 😁
Hmm... seeing your efforts with the frame and cover, I couldn't help thinking that something was missing, I then realised what it was... you needed a wife there to watch and / or make helpful comments. 👍
Really loving your videos. Waiting excitedly for each drop. Fabulous job, you are amazing. Keep it up. With love from Melbourne Australia. Simon and Jen
What a good life you have. As we have said several times, your small balcony is the best thing you have done 👍. What a view...wonderful. The electric bike is still running 😀 Thanks for the info about the properties. Wear hearing protection and goggles when cleaning up. It's easy to get crap in your eyes. What is the name of your area that you are in? Maybe we can find time to come down and look at the area and later on some properties. Have you had a lot of rain lately? We await your next video. Fight on. With kind regards from Sweden 🇸🇪
Not using hearing protection around all those motors can give you a lifetime of tinnitus. I know, because I'm hearing an idling Amtrak engine constantly.😢
Love the progress & dodging those rain drops. Really moving forward with your ‘home’. Maybe ‘picture window’ could morph into window bifold doors so you ‘spill out’ too. Can you do a ‘Beatrix Potter’ & buy up properties around you 😉. Bravo ☀️
You are living my dream… you are doing an awesome job and your little videos are so funny… in a good way. 😂They make me laugh, when you have some down time enjoy some pizza and gelato for me. 😊
Strange stalker-like question incoming. Any chance you were frequenting a river-side pub in Richmond recently? If not, you have an incredible doppelgänger out there. We started the process of buying a farm in Marche back in 2019 and haven’t looked back since. The project has been a labour of love (we hope it’s about to ramp up even more so very soon), we can’t believe how lucky we are to have the opportunity to do what we’re doing in this region. Really appreciate your videos, they provide a connection back to this beautiful place when we’re not there, they’re inspiring and informative, and I must say it’s utterly cathartic to watch somebody else trying to navigate the nuances of renovating in the Italian countryside - the bureaucracy, the shopping complexities, the building oddities, the delivery dramas. Keep them coming!
Yes, you should keep that window somewhere either outside or inside as decoration. Just wondering why if you're opening up that area, why not take the window out after you cut open the window? Love following your projects and your outlooks on your projects. Fun watching you put that shade canopy together....improvise! Claudie/Texas
I’ve been in the Marche about ten days now, most of which were rainy. Had hoped to pop by and meet you and Joseph at Towerhouse but unfortunately things at my end are not quite working out as I’d planned.
Hola Richard. Greetings from our mountain in Spain. Your videoing is absolutely amazing, work / views etc, but sound quality isn't good. You have a beautiful place & you work hard. You deserve a bottle at end of the day. Hugs ❤️
Richard, stop calling That one building the Out House, unless it is actually an Outhouse! Where we were raised on the farm the Outhouse is where you go to poop!! LOL Randy
Enjoying watching your progress with your property. Out of interest when you drove back via Switzerland and into Germany did you use the toll road and what were the costs.
in italia abbiamo parecchie regole sulle ristruturazioni di solito finestre e porte esterne per modificarle è un caos. hai ottenuto i permessi? te lo chiedo perchè ad un amico hanno bloccato tutto.
Ahh 6:40 and Richard shows his selfless heroism by rescuing some wine cruelly trapped in a glass prison So the question that needs to be asked is because they were so cheap why didn't you buy 2 seeing as accidents happen? 🤔 😉 Anyways, great progress and yes we can see differences - stay safe till next time

😊

Summer thunderstorms are quite rare in England, miss them! Something so relaxing and soothing about the sound of heavy rain and thunder
I’d like to suggest that the next time you need to get under the lawnmower and fish something out of the blade, you use extreme caution, you don’t want pent up compression turning that blade if you remove a jam, or even worse potentially starting it…the spark plug wire should be removed before putting hands in there…

I can see a big difference this week, too. I’m really enjoying your channel.
Progress is progress Richard. Plenty of things to do and you don’t seem to mind if you have to crack on with another job from the one you intended to do.

You have the most beautiful view from your property I have seen. Everyone takes good care of their property.
6:43 the deck shots are always the highlight as usual! looking forward to the window fitting now.
Minging, dirty and sweaty is good, means you've done a great job. Great video as usual. Enjoy your wine.

It’s really coming along.😊. You’re doing a great job. Hello from Liverpool UK.🇬🇧 😊

Definitely keep the beautiful red window and work it in somewhere.

Merlin (a bird identifying app I use) says that was a Little Owl :)
Yes, pretty sure it was. I used to have them in my garden and recognise the call. In my part of the world, they're called 'cucuveaua', which is somewhat onomatopoeic I guess.
Love the Old Window 🪟 Idea 💡
Maybe Stained Glass decorative?

😉😅
Use the window grate as a trivet or wall art.😊
Don't forget to eat something when you drink wine - maybe some olives or salame. La mamma Ivana knows best. Lol. Love the majestic bird sculpture too.
Make arrangements to collect rain water.
You know what I am lobbying for and it starts at 6:49. You sir are living the life. Well done and well thought out.
Really loving your videos. Waiting excitedly for each drop. Fabulous job, you are amazing. Keep it up. With love from Melbourne Australia. Simon and Jen

You are quickly getting a lot of subscribers. Well deserved. 👍
Great job on the cover for the tank
The trouble with a nice bottle is that once opened the contents seem to find their way out…
😂
And thank you for sharing your journey!
A ‘drop saw’ would be life changing Richard!
So would a ride mower
Great content just interesting stuff really enjoyed it thanks 👍👍🙏🇬🇧
Welcome back.

Great blade!

You’re doing well, since I last came in to visit…oh and for 6 euros you should buy a few ..just in case. Lol 🙋🏻♀️
You need to buy a little mount for the outdoor shower head 🫶🏻
Brilliant work Richard, did you swerve Boris?. We were worried about you when the news said Marche had been hit. ATB ☀️☀️☀️
I have nothing to say really, but I appreciate your content, and wish to help with the yt-algorithms.
Good work
I can never build a big enough collection of brown cardboard - get through 200kg or more a year to mix with grass clippings in the compost bays.
Richard, stop calling That one building the Out House, unless it is actually an Outhouse! Where we were raised on the farm the Outhouse is where you go to poop!! LOL Randy
Sounds like an owl of some kind, possibly the little owl.
Enjoying watching your progress with your property. Out of interest when you drove back via Switzerland and into Germany did you use the toll road and what were the costs.
When I was reading about the floods in Romagna and Northern Marche yesterdayi thought about you. Are you safe?
Hopefully you drank the glass of wine and coffee with my money treat. Let's have a drink together once we meet in Le Marche 😁🍷
Cavity filled in with insulation, not just 'filled in'.
Love watching your channel. Do you rent a car every time you go out to your home in Italy?
in italia abbiamo parecchie regole sulle ristruturazioni di solito finestre e porte esterne per modificarle è un caos. hai ottenuto i permessi? te lo chiedo perchè ad un amico hanno bloccato tutto.
Lay the cardboard down wherever you want to kill weeds and grass over the winter.
Tem tanto trabalho a ser mostrado para nos,mas vc passa o vídeo todo falando e falando .
Do you know how old your house is.
The text underneath is out of synchronisation!! Not by much, but still!!
Pls stick to one job at a time , its a crazy watch , switching between jobs. Ta.
Need the rain he says, just say when you want it to stop now please 😧
the bird is an owl, scops or little owl, I'm not sure
You never mention the mosquitos! Don’t you get bitten - a lot?!?
Can you duct tape the shower head?
Ahh 6:40 and Richard shows his selfless heroism by rescuing some wine cruelly trapped in a glass prison
So the question that needs to be asked is because they were so cheap why didn't you buy 2 seeing as accidents happen? 🤔 😉
Anyways, great progress and yes we can see differences - stay safe till next time
7:06 Athene Noctua ! In italiano CIVETTA 😊
