I'm going to have to read this. I appreciate your videos teaching about all these pulp heroes. I'm also excited about reading Operator number 5 as well.
Random but fantastic news: WAC has just announced their first UHD release, and it's going to be The Searchers! They have also already confirmed a remastered blu-ray, original audio, Dolly Vision, and it will all be encoded by Fidelity In Motion! Coming this December! I really think this release deserves a review from you when it comes out, it's all really special!
Wow--just ordered my copy. Thanks for the great overview! I think you're right to compare these novels to the Operator #5 series. Entire cities laid waste and then in the following story arc it's like it never happened (Wentworth is the Wile E. Coyote of the pulps, apparently!) But fun stuff nevertheless...
You've been ON FIRE the past few weeks! It's always a thrill to watch a new video from you and I especially appreciate all the pulp you've been covering lately. It's a topic I've long been interested in but one I haven't quite had the time to jump into yet.
@@matejadjedovic I’ve always meant to make videos of everything important I read. I had recorded a number of videos and have been trying to edit and upload my backlog.
Another random but fantastic news: The StudioCanal UHD of The Third Man, and also the newly encoded blu-ray included, have fixed the audio! All the errors of the 2015 track are gone, and the track now is far less filtered and far more dynamic! And, let's not forget: both the UHD and the blu-ray are encoded by Fidelity In Motion!
Just found out some great news. Warner Archive announced yesterday that they are releasing their first 4K release, which will be John Wayne's "The Searchers." Another surprise about that? The restoration will be based on the film's original VistaVision camera negative and will also include the "original monaural audio track which was restored from the best available source materials to provide a clean and dynamic audio presentation.'
There will also be a remastered blu-ray included with the 4K release, but people will be able to buy just the 1080p blu-ray if they want. Also, both discs will be encoded by Fidelity In Motion.
Another great video. Beautiful edition I'm going to have to check out.

Great Trilogy, and another damn fine enjoyable review.
