I noticed that also. And the one in Guadalupe seemed to have different markings on the left side, as well as some damage to the rear of the right pectoral.
@@emopeterparker7 There are 5-6 18 foot plus females out there in the wild. I saw the name for this massive lady a few months back, and I'm ashamed to say that I've forgotten it!
She's a model, not a marine biologist. David Shiffman, a marine conservation biologist who studies sharks, told The Washington Post: "I can't believe that 'please don't grab the 18-foot long wild predator' is something that needs to be explicitly said out loud, but here we are."
I know- right??? I don’t know how many times I have taken a bath at home and thought “ I think that I will go down to the local pet store and buy me a great white shark to put in the tub with me”!
She's absolutely gorgeous. I spent my summers at the beach, fishing out of a 20ft Dory boat out of Pacific City, Oregon. One thing we were always taught as kids is to respect the ocean and everything in it. I saw a shark attack on a surfer when I was around 6 or 7 years old and it was proven to be a Great White when they did the bite analysis on the surfboard. The surfer got lucky and didn't even have a scratch. Deep Blue is absolutely stunning and just so calm. It proves how misunderstood these animals are. ❤
There are many deadly attacks recorded so don't think White sharks are sweet Pets. Probably the experienced divers know how tò approach a Shark and maybe this Is particuparly mild but this is not what usually happens when someome meet a white shark
Actually attacks on humans normally stem from human error. Did I say it was a pet? No I did not. I have also studied these animals and many others and one common factor is that most people trying to get footage will do whatever to create "drama" and behaviors that are NOT natural and which brings in views but skews the viewpoints of the people watching. How many videographers create a feeding frenzy with sharks by over-chumming the water and literally baiting the animals for a reaction that would not be typical had the human element not been present. Shark attacks are actually less than 1 in 1,000,000 which makes them rare. Do I need to go into how to avoid a shark attack? Maybe before making a bunch of false statements and assumptions and adding to the whole fear mongering deal, go talk to actual scientists that study these animals.
hypocrite.....nope they are unpredictable and if they are hungry especially in places where commercial fishing nets are putting strain on the sharks natural prey, they will seek out other meals including people...They are also opportunistic feeders, and sharks are curious creatures they will bite items to "taste" them and they will attack if feeling threatened..there have been numerous deadly attacks that have not been caused by human error .Most shark attacks are from mistaken identity thinking that the person is a seal or another prey item they feed on usually from low visibility in water etc.last year 57 fatal sharks occured... 2023 is currently at 58 deaths and these are unprovoked shark attacks.
No,she just understands these animals..most people are afraid of sharks simply because of that stupid movie "Jaws"..they are predators and can be dangerous but you are more likely to get struck by lightning that killed by a shark
Deep Blue has two very distinctive black spots on her belly... This Shark is NOT Deep Blue... But in any case, why would you want to stress a pregnant Great White Shark? 😨
Deeps blue looks much bigger on the orignal footage than this one, easily noticeable when you compare her size with the size of this chick. It should be at least 3 to 4 times her length, not even close
@Mathieu Revel I came looking for this comment/info because, by way of common sense, I thought 'how tall is this woman if that shark isn't much longer than she is (not as much as you'd think she would be according to the stats) and certainly doesn't seem to be able to stand beside the shark and be much taller if at all'?! Interesting common sense didn't kick in with any of the folks at the show
Its deep blue. Marine biologists and scientists have confirmed it. I'll go with them. You prolly think the movie Shazam with Sinbad didbt happen either.
Well...the sharks were there to feed on the carcass of a whale. Plenty to eat for everybody. I don't think the divers bothered the shark-the big one had a couple of dolphins following it. Heck, Ramsey seems to have a good 'situational awareness' about this shark. It probably thinks she's an overgrown remora or some other 'hanger on'.
Here's what people need to understand: sharks have a "hunting" mode they go into. You'll notice when you see a picture/video of a shark with no fish near it vs one with fish all around. Other fish know when they're hunting even though it might look indistinguishable to us. But when not hunting, I'm not gonna say they're harmless, but they have no reason to hurt you if you're not threatening them. And even then, they very rarely look at humans as food simply due to our size and shape (we're not easy animals to chew and swallow). Most bites that happen are just that: bites. Most species of sharks interact with their surroundings by biting things; that's how they discern stuff and find out what it is (though this mostly happens to things floating on or near the surface). Why do you think they find sharks with bits of tires and stuff in their stomach? It's not food, they just want to know what it is.
Yeah I dont think people can actually survive if a shark really tries to eat you. But then again, they are so awesome animals, their curiosity bite can take out your leg. Honestly, its a priviliage to live with them
It is interesting that Deep Blue doesn’t exhibit defensive or attack posture when she is swimming with her. She looks very relaxed except when the girl touches her back, but she still doesn’t arch up. ❣️
This isn't deep blue. They compared fins and markings and they are completely different from deep blue. This shark is haole girl. Probably 17-18 feet whereas deep blue is 18-19. MAYBE 20.
Deep Blue was send to us by the shark community for good vibrations. A granny appearing with dolphines and a hot blonde girl... and we can't do anything other than loving her.
They forget to mention that DB was completely stuffed with whale carcass, how beautiful the images are and how good it is that we finally give the respect to these sharks that they deserve, it's normally not really recommended to go swimming with them. It has been shown by studies in their behaviour that a large female often has a pack of young and aggressive males in her proximity.
This is a happy shark! How do I know this? The mouth was open but not wide. The shark is happy and well fed, not currently hunting while Ramsey was in the water with her
There is something very wrong here, the diver who filmed "Deep Blue" from the cage, filmed a shark with 3 teeth rake marks down her left flank, a piece out of her right flank, and a notch behind her dorsal fin, the shark the girl claiming to swim with "Deep Blue" has no markings, we have two different sharks here. your thoughts please.
I'd like to know why the dolphins were following such a beast. At 1:18 she said they were dancing around her, why??? Are they after the babies or are the actually protecting the shark???
When you realize you were on a catamaran in southern Oahu the same day right near where this giant was spotted... Crazy to think that my tour guide was talking about the sperm whale carcass he saw tiger sharks feasting on the day before, and this happened to be the same carcass that Deep Blue was eating! I’m kinda scared of sharks but wish I would’ve seen her!
I have a SUPER fear of sharks. Never had that when I was younger and enjoyed diving and being in the water all the time. But sometime in my early 30's I suddenly developed this overwhelming fear that consumes me whenever I get in the water. Why I stay in the boat almost all the time now.
It wasn’t deep blue this info is false. Apparently it was another giant great white name haole girl . But def not deep blue. This one lacked all the scarring deep blue had and her 2 big black spots on her underside.
i'd just like to say its really refreshing to see a news channel talk about sharks without playing the cringey jaws music, or portraying them as serial killer like animal
Why can't these people just shoot a nice shark video and maybe frame a diver or two into it for scale? What is it with these freedivers that they seem to feel the need to have their paws all over the wildlife, grabbing fins, etc? I guess that's an ego thing - look at me in the video - I have the stones to touch this dangerous animal. One of these days, that will backfire.
Well if the shark wasn't happy with her touching it either would of swim away or destroyed her. Why did she delete your comments over the internet because there's no need to complain and get sensitive over something dumb on the internet. Get over it
So they can kill the baby sharks. What you think the dolphins are nurses aids helping the shark give birth. Man we gotta stop humanizing these beasts man eaters
Well I live in Florida and we see plenty of sharks and interact all the time, but if I look behind me and seen that at the beach all anyone else could see was a prop wash with a big pile of s*** in it. 💩😂😂😂👍👍

Quint: Cage goes in the water, you go in the water, shark's in the water.......our shark...

A great white and dolphins swimming together in harmony. Wow need more of that
The dude said: Do not do this at home ....yeah like she swim in my living room
This is the best thing I have seen in such a long time!!!! We need to protect our oceans and wildlife. Thank you for reporting this today great job!!! Look at Gma Big blue still gettin it in 😂🤣
"do not do this at home"
*damn, ruined my plans tonight*
"Do not do this at home"
Yeah ok then glad you said that i had my flippers at the ready, my pale white ass is staying firmly on the ground
You have to understand how incredible it is to have such creatures AND their DNA which is so incredibly precious.
I know what you mean, I’m gay too
@@cry_now_laugh_later It's just preposterous to postulate the idea we exist in a simulation when observation is evident in opposition to the fact that we do not. By which you should consider your DNA is at risk of being lost, forever. Cheers.
How did you lose your arm? "I was just petting the bear."
She is amazing! What a wellmade creature! - and the shark is also cool
Did you just call her a creature

I blame jaws for the death of sharks world wide
After Jaws came out, Steven Spielberg was horrified sharks were being hunted in mass quantities because of his film. He just wanted a suspenseful movie.
So does the author of Jaws, he spent the rest of his life on shark research and conservation.
@The SN jaws is the reason people are scared of sharks it pioneered a new genre of scary shark movies
Well that's stupid blaming a film for the death of sharks, that's like saying the film Halloween causes murders. Don't say that again.
Komrade Kat you’re in the stupid human category evidently 😂
A "Marine Biologist" who doesn't have a degree in marine biology...that's about as legitimate as me saying I study outer space so I am an astronaut.
She said the dolphins were escorting the shark. Nope. The dolphins were trying to distract the shark in case it attacked the blonde bimbo
Well to be fair, being an astronaut doesn’t mean you know anything about astronomy. You just fit the requirements for space travel at the time.
Ramsey is not a marine biologist.
Tell that to Elon
@@chaoticneutral8040 Never mind navigation like sailors have done for millennia. You are stupid and couldn't find your way to the next block.
Deep Blue has two black markings on her underside belly, this shark doesn't have these marks.. I think this is a different shark!
ahhhh it makes me happy thinking there's two absolute units in the ocean. hoping there's more
I noticed that also.
@@dramoth64 no worries! that's still amazing to hear. i hope they're doing well out there in the ocean.
In another one I watched she had a gauge on her right side plus they tagged her. Seems to be missing a lot of scars.
She's a model, not a marine biologist.
David Shiffman, a marine conservation biologist who studies sharks, told The Washington Post: "I can't believe that 'please don't grab the 18-foot long wild predator' is something that needs to be explicitly said out loud, but here we are."
I repeat " Do not do this at HOME "??? 🤔🤔🤔
I know- right??? I don’t know how many times I have taken a bath at home and thought “ I think that I will go down to the local pet store and buy me a great white shark to put in the tub with me”!
I think he means the nearest ocean to you
duaneredman I wonder how illegal that pet shop is XD
That reporter's expressions are great! The look of disbelief and then the measuring tape!
I'm going to swim around in a BIG shark suit until that cute little Marine biologists comes out and meets me.
She popped up again a few days ago. She seems to roam from the coast of mexico to Hawaii.
She's so pretty ❤
It always starts with smiles and laughter and then comes screaming and trying to get back in the boat .
people say this is deep blue its not deep blue has a scar on her side this one doesnt!!!
Amazing creature! She is magnificent and definitely should be.protected like all of them.
She is beautiful!
WOW I would of had a streak of brown behind me swimming beside a Great White. She's brave.
No,she just understands these animals..most people are afraid of sharks simply because of that stupid movie "Jaws"..they are predators and can be dangerous but you are more likely to get struck by lightning that killed by a shark
and loves the attention
They call that "bum chum" and it really brings the sharks in
😂😂😂 and if she’s carries on being a cocky little cow like that, she’ll have a streak of blood and guts beside her too.
She's not brave she's an idiot. Don't give her credit for something she is not.
Reporter: Do not do this at home
Me: MAAAAAAAAAA..... Do we have a great white shark in the pool so I can swim along side it?
Deep Blue has two very distinctive black spots on her belly... This Shark is NOT Deep Blue... But in any case, why would you want to stress a pregnant Great White Shark? 😨
Deeps blue looks much bigger on the orignal footage than this one, easily noticeable when you compare her size with the size of this chick. It should be at least 3 to 4 times her length, not even close
STFU and enjoy the video
@Mathieu Revel I came looking for this comment/info because, by way of common sense, I thought 'how tall is this woman if that shark isn't much longer than she is (not as much as you'd think she would be according to the stats) and certainly doesn't seem to be able to stand beside the shark and be much taller if at all'?! Interesting common sense didn't kick in with any of the folks at the show
yup not deep blue. not as big and markings under the belly and on the tail are completely different
Its deep blue. Marine biologists and scientists have confirmed it. I'll go with them. You prolly think the movie Shazam with Sinbad didbt happen either.
Love and kisses for Deep Blue!!
That shark was really calm around them, I think most of it's diet comes from scavenging, she's so big she can take whatever she wants.
All fun and games untill someone gets eaten . Then blame the shark
Sharks don’t kill for sport, they only kill for food
Thanks for the warning. Was planning to swim with a 20 ft shark next week

Deep blue is just adorable
Honestly, its a priviliage to live with them
“Don’t do this at home” I don’t even know how that would be possible
Did he just really say "don't do this at home" 😂😂😂
She is beautiful
Don’t do this at home? I’ll take the shark back to the pet shop then lol 👍🏼🤦🏼♂️
Deep Blue is a chill grandma, how old is she? I love the dolphins swimming with them lol
She is around 50 years old
She over 50 y’all watching shark week
It is interesting that Deep Blue doesn’t exhibit defensive or attack posture when she is swimming with her. She looks very relaxed except when the girl touches her back, but she still doesn’t arch up. ❣️
Would you want to eat while giving birth?
When you're near 25 ft and weigh several tons you dont go on the defensive.
This isn't deep blue. They compared fins and markings and they are completely different from deep blue. This shark is haole girl. Probably 17-18 feet whereas deep blue is 18-19. MAYBE 20.
Usually sharks bite because they mistake a human for a seal, movies make out sharks to be monsters like jaws and deep blue sea
Deep Blue was send to us by the shark community for good vibrations.
A granny appearing with dolphines and a hot blonde girl... and we can't do anything other than loving her.
I mean how beautiful is deep blue!? 😍❤️🌞👊
Beautiful. Go find a video of her because this is not her.
Even though Jaws is one of the greatest films ever made, you have to think how many shark deaths that film spurred.......
You are corry. This is not Deep Blue.
The closest thing we have to Megalodon.
She’s so beautiful 🥺
When a girl has more balls than me 😂
Fantastic shark!
She better thank God that the shark was on a full stomach
Sharks don’t kill people for food.
She is so beautiful💖
I believe Steve Irwin said the same thing???
Gentle, until she's hungry, I guess. Wouldn't ever catch me voluntarily swimming with sharks.
"Do not try this at home"...How exactly?
Wow what a beautiful creature.
I’d like to show that marine biologist this 20 footer

Aww, looks like it was already full of food, had no more room for snacks! Or too pregnant to eat!
That's not "Deep Blue"....still, an absolutely beautiful creature though.
You're lucky "Grandma" wasn't hungry.
I'd like to know why the dolphins were following such a beast. At 1:18 she said they were dancing around her, why??? Are they after the babies or are the actually protecting the shark???
Amazing how the dolphins were swimming around it, perhaps protecting the divers .....just in case.
She is big, lovely girl.
GoMiGman You can probably thank all the exaggerated movies haha
It wasn’t deep blue this info is false. Apparently it was another giant great white name haole girl . But def not deep blue. This one lacked all the scarring deep blue had and her 2 big black spots on her underside.
Tsynsin Either way it’s a big shark.
@@simplyprism5854 Deep Blue was there they day before. She was filmed by Kim Jeffries.
i'd just like to say its really refreshing to see a news channel talk about sharks without playing the cringey jaws music, or portraying them as serial killer like animal
Rick Hillier agree! Also, amazed the shark didn’t retaliate by space being invaded...... like me...... fly lands on me, I try to swat it!
get over it
Xevious 1 …I’m under it .....
Well if the shark wasn't happy with her touching it either would of swim away or destroyed her. Why did she delete your comments over the internet because there's no need to complain and get sensitive over something dumb on the internet. Get over it
She's crazy, incredible 👏👏👏
She’s suuuuuper pregnant 🤰 🦈 and it’s interesting that the dolphins were calm around her, ‘escorting’ her, they probably knew she was carrying.
With that sonar of theirs -- you think they give her a free flyby ultrasound?
So they can kill the baby sharks. What you think the dolphins are nurses aids helping the shark give birth. Man we gotta stop humanizing these beasts man eaters
She’s absolutely transcendent. Oh deep blue, you have no idea how famous you are!!!
Well I live in Florida and we see plenty of sharks and interact all the time, but if I look behind me and seen that at the beach all anyone else could see was a prop wash with a big pile of s*** in it. 💩😂😂😂👍👍

Are they certain this is the same shark? The shark from 5 years earlier has distinct dark markings on the under side of its head. This one is completely white. Have those markings just disappeared?
