i have never seen a lawn mower gasket blow , but mind you i work on cars , but mucked around with lawn mowers over the years , so much easier than car engines haha
Amateur small engine mechanic here. The gaskets don't go bad that often, however if you have to open up the top end to lap the valves you end up needing to replace the head gasket. And yes, the nice thing about working on small engines is that the part you need to work on is usually pretty accessible.
@@BPoutdoorpowerequipment thats crazy , i guess the composite they are made of fail, some cars have used composite material which fails and are replaced with multi layer steel gaskets
@@SlayingU yes well getting to anything looks way easier and been many years since i have lapped valves but so satisfying to do , a lot of cylinder heads i have to do requires hours and hours of work
It was already removed, not sure why but I assume the mower was trashed but the engine only had a head gasket leak. It had been in our used engine pile for a while.
Those who do the work do the learning, it’s a fact 😊😊😊
Love watching the kids doing the work 😊😊😊

Let him put a new head gasket and start it up, he will feel better 😊❤
We started it up the next day at our repair center, he tried to take it there the same day but they didnt have time to get it going that day.
Why on earth did you remove the whole engine off the mower to swap a gasket?
