The way she described her writing process is exactly like mine. I’m good with the big ideas and endings but threading them together is both the tricky and fun part.
I really love listening to Laini explain how she got her writing ideas! I just finished Daughter of Smoke and Bone and I'm waiting on the last two to be shipped to me! I do have Strange the Dreamer already and I'm starting it soon!
Funny how Laini says 'blue skinned character' intending them to represent the discriminated against group, but reviewers call those blue skinned characters and their ancestors 'white saviours'. Funnily enough, the irony of that is captured really well in the duology itself, with both groups discriminating against and disadvantaging the other
jennaclarek oh ok thanks! I've never read that series so that's probably why I didn't know what she meant, I think it might be too conflicting with my Christianity...
Writing doesn't come easy to her? Her books are next level amazing - I assumed she just typed and it all came out. She is a genius.
her necklace!!! **cries (again)** thanks for this, Jenna!
Brimstone!!!
That's awesome that you got to interview Laini Taylor! :)

This was so great!!! LAini Taylor is my Goddess!!!!
Laini Taylor sounds amazing! Strange the Dreamer is one of my most anticipated reads of the year!
Liza in Dreams of Gods and Monster is such an amazing diverse character and she didn't put up with anyone's BS.

I like how Laini dyes (dyed) her hair pink, I also like her creativity. From one writer to another, (also, a bookworm) thank you!
France loves you back Laini !! :)
Aw she seems so sweet ❤️ now I really need to read Dreams of Gods and Monsters so I can read Strange the Dreamer!
You can read Strange without reading DOGAM because they're separate series but read DOGAM because it's awesome!!
I really love listening to Laini explain how she got her writing ideas! I just finished Daughter of Smoke and Bone and I'm waiting on the last two to be shipped to me! I do have Strange the Dreamer already and I'm starting it soon!
I have never been more jealous in my life of you omg
Lovely interview!!

I love how this has no dislikes
She's 45?! But she looks so young...
Please consider captioning your videos. Struggling with this one and the auto captions suck.
🥰💜🐰🥰
Why is it that this has so little views? Arent people intrigued on how the author thinked while writing the book?
at around 2:20 i think laini asked "do you know what your demon would be?" and I'm not sure what she meant by that, did she mean bogart?
I think it's from The Golden Compass series...?
jennaclarek oh ok thanks! I've never read that series so that's probably why I didn't know what she meant, I think it might be too conflicting with my Christianity...
+The Book Night That was originally why I never picked it up and now it doesnt even interest me haha
jennaclarek yeah some things aren't worth endangering your faith for. :)
