I never knew until now that Cat Stevens admired George Harrison so much, I am deeply touched to know this, as of today, June 4, 2024. I saw Cat Stevens in concert once many years ago on March 8, 1976 in Providence, R.I. I was living in Boston at that time, took a train over to Providence that evening. It was a nice concert, but I was a little disappointed that C.S. did not do that night--for some reason--my favorite of all his songs--the beautiful "Morning Has Broken". However, he did do all the other well-known Cat Stevens songs, including "Peace Train" and "Moonshadow" I am glad Cat Stevens is still performing, even at almost age 76.
Yes each and every day the SUN arrives folks! it doesn't rise! When it's on one side of the FLAT EARTH the other side is night! Simple so George's song is all about the FE!! RIP GH!

My first ever concert was George Harrison, 20 December 1974 at Madison Square Garden. He and his band were the greatest cultural gift of the 20th century. And those of us who were there knew it.
This performance by Yousuf/Cat Stevens of one of my favourite George Harrison songs is absolutely fantastic. I always felt George was really underrated and a bit overshadowed by John and Paul.
We who were there loved and appreciated George. John and Paul were extraterrestrials. Harrison was just good for the soul. He was the perfect third man in the Beatles.
I was in UK in November to visit my daughter and her husband , granduaghter and my son . The day before I left to come back to South Africa we went to Henley on Thames and found George Harrison mansion . I had photographs taken outside Friar Park. Thank you George for being with us. You have never left because you are still in our hearts. Hare Krsna Hare Krsna.
