Yep, that is the theory. In reality, the battery is glued to the chassis with spider blood, screws are sometimes sooooo tight that you'll need to re-slot them with a micro cutting disc measuringa fraction of an inch, and the cables are constantly looking for the way to prevent you from retiring the other components. Speakers are sometimes hard to separate too and the learning curve is from 0 to 100 in 2 steps.
