it’s just that
in EN: voice actors call each other’s name,real name,stage name whatever it is and sometimes breaks out of their character roles
in JP: stays in character, voice actor’s calling each other their character name.
i’ll just leave it here for comparison

JP VAs tends to really play into their characters's personality and I find that beautiful
English voices has alot of variety of sounds and pitches, and better acting. Japanese is like there's only 10 voice actors and can't make a character sound like how their supposed too

I thought it would be obvious, considering in the EN livestream, the hosts are talking as themselves, while on the JP livestream, the hosts are talking as their characters.

@@NiteSirenyx yeah that's why I watch both jp and en livestreams. it's interesting and fun to see the characters talking and interacting outside the game, it's also fun to listen to the en vas speaking in more relatable way, like with memes and stuff.
It's funny that people say that the EN one represents Scara's fun and innocent side and whatever when in reality the man is just being himself. He's not even in character, guys. He's not trying to be a "playful Scaramouche", he's Patrick Pedreza.
It's just that the way the two livestreams are directed is different. I like them both. It's nice hearing Patrick being himself, and it's also really nice hearing Kakki go full Scara kusogaki mode.

I think though people tend to just forget when characters are mean because they want to envision them differently than they actually are because they really like the character. With the voice and all, people can imagine what character act like.

@@ms.pirate both EN and JP have a great way of voice acting Scaramouche. For me the JP voice suits him better and actually the deep pitch is not that too deep. Try comparing with other characters with deep voice in japanese and Scara's JP VA, theirs is much deeper than Scara's JP VA. His JP VA did a great job at sounding like a true villain.
Makes you hate him and at the same time makes you love him. That's how I feel 😂

the same with "Ara Ara~" it sounds a bit like Ala Ala since they don't pronounce the "R" too loudly like Arrrrrrrr
Edit : There are lots of "R" in japanese vocabularies but from what I mostly heard, they often don't pronounce the "R" too strongly. But that doesn't mean that they always do the same for some words. :) Also, "L" actually doesn't exist in their hiragana/katakana.. They often exchange L into R for their Katakana.

@@minami_uuu that is straight up wrong, it's the opposite. the R sound exists in their vocabulary ex: sayonara, wakaranai, tsurumi, kurisu, kokoro, etc etc. it's the L that doesn't exist. Hence why for example Luffy is pronounced Ruffy by many in JP.
@@MorpheusCh I think you kinda misunderstood my point. I was only referring to that exact line... I never said that they never pronounce the "R" strongly nor did I claim that R does not exist. What I meant is that they pronounce the "R" softly for some words ;) as for the alphabets, yeah there are lots of "R" in them and they for sure do not have "L" in their alphabets. For example chocolate become chocoreto. But my point is, eventho there are no "L" and they made it "R", they still pronounce most R softly that it kinda sounds like L.

the vas (seiyuus) in the JP livestream are into their characters (which is totally different from CN, EN and KR livestream but very amazing on their own). I guess that the method voice acting appeal suits the Japanese viewers more when seiyuus are using their in game avatars.
That's the JP VAs for you. They really have high asf standards. I do not want to discredit other VAs aside from JP but I honestly think their voice acting cultures/standards are holding them back from their excellence

Itto is actually quite mean as well, but you can only hear how rude he is in JP (and most possibly CN, but I don’t know the language). He does have a pure and gentle heart, but is often quite an asshole, I actually really love this trope :0

The EN streams are shown by the VAs' but the JP streams are shown by their actual characters they voice as. So it only makes sense JP Wanderer seems a bit in character. But I don't know how the other countries show their streams though

In my opinion: the EN voice actor in the special program, being theirself. Not being the "character that they played" 's personality. In the other side, JP seiyuu, is not being their own persoality, rather they become the "character they played" 's personality
I don't always watch jp livestreams but I do love the fact that the VAs keep in character. That makes for hilarious combinations cuz you like literally get random chars meeting in some kind of alternate reality lmao

From my perspective, EN is both cool and childish, which is cute.
The JP language may seen cool at first glance, but it incorporates Japan's unique "Mesu-gaki" culture.
To me it kinda just feels like En Vas are just more being themselfs while the Jp Vas are jumping straight into roleplaying as their characters.

Hearing Mikazuki whenever Kaeya open his mouth, my first party captain's voice when Zhongli speak and hearing Uguisu who's so calm and gentle becoming so arrogant is pure blizzard. Well, there’s a huge difference between EN and JP Itto’s personality :0 they’re completely two different people, JP Itto is way more rude, has a more pompous/narcissistic and “cool” chuunibyou aura

I play with JP voices. This is a large part of why I hate Scara: that kind of smug a**hole character always makes me want to stomp on his face until he can never smirk again.
