It's also the fact that it's been said by all the members especially Chan time and time again that Lee Know really is the bestest guy ever and the sweetest but people want to overlook that in favor of labelling him as unkind and mean. He's honest and genuine that's far from being mean.

Sorry for the long comment in advance. It’s interesting the point you made about english being the universal language and how many other non-native english speakers accidentally speaks english. I’m an american, so it’s interesting to me how even koreans praise american english. I always thought american english was just basic. But i do realize that since i’ve been consumed with south korean content from music to tv shows, that although I didn’t know a lick of korean, that now on occasion i will just blurt out korean words and phrases. But I honestly get jealous of how much koreans and many other people from around the world can be fluent in more than one language. I’m not fluent in other languages but i can say i know some words/phrases/numbers in spanish, pig latin, hebrew, german, hawaiian, chinese and french. And because i work in the medical field, i want to claim i know some latin and greek due to how us healthcare workers speak in medical jargon to one another. I also know how to sign the alphabet and some words and phrases in ASL (american sign language). And if you know what ebonics or AAVE (african american vernacular english): i would say i know that as well because it’s apart of the culture of my community in America. We also have other languages we speak in the blk community in america that either know of or can speak which is gullah geechee and Tutanese.
Pretty insane how many languages and different forms of communication there are. It always blows my mind! There are so many people out there who just know SOOOO many languages. Like that’s a lot of words to memorise 🤣 so impressive!
