    • @AliceBunny05
      @AliceBunny05 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      @@amyw2475Yeah, toxicity grows as fandom size grows, skz have always had a strangely odd magnetism for fans that take it too far though. Most fans weren't around for things like a little before hyunjins hiatus was announced or when woojin left, but even at those times a lot of fans displayed toxic behavior regarding those situations. Stay have also gotten chan into trouble more than once by twisting his words and using them for their own agenda. I've never been able to pinpoint exactly what the issue is as a fan since pre-debut, but I feel like it's just gotten worse in some ways as time has gone one and sometimes I wonder if chans relationship with the fans is part of the issue. That he's too nice with us, or gives such a strong projection of closeness that people will say and do unhinged things thinking they're protecting the group. It's all speculation of course, but it does seem like things have ramped up since he started chans room and then after it ended, obviously there was a lot of issues with things there.

    It saddens me that leeknow actually want more training and a bit envious of the other members that got more time as a trainee. He got SO much potential. That high note he hit when he sang Limbo in Japan is impressive though unpolished. I don't think their schedule allowed him as much time as he wants to practice on his vocal

    • @bbiyao
      @bbiyao 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      It's so impressive that Lee Know decided to sing such a challenging ballad live. He could have easily done a performance-heavy number like Hyunjin, but instead he chose to have a spotlight, a standing mic and just sing. Hell, he could have even released a new song but he seemed determined to give Limbo justice. I don't think his performances were perfect but I saw him sing it live twice, and the crowd was completely in awe. He's totally captivating.

It's disheartening some people feel the need to attack and behave inappropriately to the point you had to take a video down. By the way, you have a beautiful voice and you inspire me to sing and maybe some day take voice lessons to gain confidence.

    I really like your insights into their vocal techniques (being an instrument player and not a vocalist per se.) Your video on Social Path, for example, was one of my favorites because of your double fangirling over LiSA and SKZ. 😂 Plus it’s always a treat to see your appreciation for Lee Know’s hard work on improving his vocals. Oh I’m so sad to hear that you got attacked. I don’t think that I watched the video but it makes me feel bad to hear that from someone like you :( you’re literally one of my favorite reactors to skz. I mean, it’s good to see people just enjoy hearing my boys music in a short video but also I really appreciate and enjoy even more with you because even when I can feel & notice their hard work and improvement throughout the years in all media (singing, rapping, dancing…) it’s feels even better & greater to hear a professionals’ opinions. You always make me notice the smallest things which makes me enjoy and appreciate their hard work even more. The greatest thing about it is that you are actually a fan of straykids which means that you always focus on every single one of them without lifting any of them out and notice the change and difference in style and character of each one of them which makes me appreciate and loves your reactions more & more. I also love how we both have the same taste in most things :D not in just the music itself but also in vocals and men in general 🌚 you’re always pointing & reacting exactly the same as me to a lot of part through the video let it be the singing or other things 🌜 anyway sorry for the super long comment I forgot myself writing my feelings 😂❤ I know it’s easier to say than to do but try to ignore those people who putted you down cause I know I’m not the only one who loves you and your channel, I hope you’ll get better days ❤ also, put in your mind that I’m not a native English speaker and it’s almost 4am and I’m writing with half eyes open so if you found anything wrong in this just ignore it :) have a great day ❤❤

Also, you are one of the few people who recognize Changbins technique as a singer and that he has to have a strong foundation to be able to do what he does. So thank you for that. Also I wanna go see Chang Bin drawling in cowboy boots now

  • @jadefrog
    @jadefrog 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    I enjoy hearing your comments about they singing and vocalization styles. It was so sweet to see you get all giggly about Felix' vocal tone, after being so focused and serious up to then, and then boom, Felix puts that sort of 3-D scratch into his lines and you just smile all over your face, it's so much fun to experience things like that with reactors. I came across one of those threads trying to make a whole fuss about how "fans are up in arms because the company is forcing Felix to ruin his voice!" and I felt very smug because I've listened to you and some other vocal coaches talking about how good his control, placement etc. are, and how there are safe ways to make those sounds, which he is using....
    Don't let the negative posters get you down. You are always very clear about what you are saying and to anyone who really pays even a little attention, it is clear how much you love the groups you react to. There is a tiny but very active percentage of (so-called) Stays who are being very negative lately, and attacking other Stays in gangs because of just one or two words they don't like or because they misunderstand or misinterpret things. It can be very uncomfortable and scary. I recently took down a post because I was not willing to deal with the attacks. I wish these folks could understand how they are harming their idols. It feels so awful to be attacked like that, it made me feel bad about Stray Kids themselves. What an awful thing, if real fans stopped posting videos and comments and started feeling bad about their favorite group, because of a few nasty, angry people.
    A few times a site moderator has apparently decided to edit a thread because of these gangs, leaving my original post but blocking all the negative responses, which makes me sad. I've always preferred trying to find a middle ground. Reporting someone seems likely to just foster bad feelings, but I'm realizing sometimes it might be the only solution. What bothers me is that if you try to be pleasant and explain yourself, they respond as if you insulted them, there seems to be no way to meet them in a neutral or friendly way, because they are more interested in crushing people down. It is very sad. One content creator did say that there is a button that lets you "hide" certain responses, or possibly even certain commenters. Since I don't create content, I'm not sure how that works, but it might be worth looking into it. I don't know if it just hides the comments from you, so you can ignore them, or if it hides them from everyone.....

    • @Katriinka
      @Katriinka  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      thank you for your kind words. And yes, the biggest issue is that no matter how much you try to explain yourself they keep on going. No middle ground is definitely and issue. Also, sometimes it is hard to navigate fandoms - I react to a lot of groups and singers and to know what issues are going on in every fandom would be difficult. Due to my lack of free time I am very casual fan - I buy CD, support comebacks with videos and so, but I am not in the fandom politics and issues, so from my pov it is just a normal comment while they perceived it as some sort of dig I think. Anyways, there were thankfully couple of people who listened and explained the whole thing, so I am happy that we could come around, because I love to make SKZ videos and support them, but I dont want to be stressed out every single time I upload haha.

    tysm for the video! it means a lot hearing professional feedback on stray kids. since I'm in my mid 30s, and having metal and rock as my musical background, stray kids are the first kpop group I know and like. I'm still pretty new but over the last couple months I really noticed the huge vocal difference. and seeing fans praising how they are such "fantastic" singers, makes me really wonder "am I too old?". they all need singing lessons and keep improving. I know they work very hard and with passion, but still.
    in the beginning of the video you mentioned that you had to take down the previous video bc of backlash. I'm so sorry that happened. it's a real shame. this is a part of the fandom (any fandom tbh) that makes me want to enjoy stray kids specifically and music generally alone for myself. critique is forbidden and a personal attack, it seems, to what I think is teenage obsession. doesn't excuse bad behavior, but it might explain why.
    that being said, stray kids have come far, but still have a long way to go, vocally and lyrically. I really dig stray kids though, their music makes me happy.
