    Hi Andrea Jean,
For the past 30 years or so I've been using a few drops of Dawn dish soap, and a sprinkle up to a teaspoon full of baking soda, last 10 or so years I've added a microfiber cloth (instead of a paper towel, or dishcloth). I wipe the container out with the baking soda, that works as an abrasive, and the Dawn as a lubricating degreaser, the microfiber cloth just grabs onto anything missed by the baking soda. I let that sit for about 15 minutes, then wash in a sink of scalding hot dish soap water, then rinse it off in scalding hot water as well. I've gotten off stains for friends that had been on for over a year.
If you cooked spaghetti sauce in the plastic container long enough to scar the side walls, there is nothing that can get those pock scars out, sorry.
    Hope this helps. Good luck.
Take care, stay safe, have a nice day.

Never ever heat any tomato based item in plastic. The acid in the tomato pits the plastic. Plastic is fine for food storage but should never be used to heat any food. With that said, if there are stain from storing tomato based item, use a paper towel to wipe out as much of the residue first. Then use lemon juice on a paper towel to wipe out the stain. Then use dawn dish soap straight on any remaining stains. Let sit for a few minutes and then wash it out.

      Hi Thomas Pinter,
Please read the back of your Dawn dish soap bottle, down in the warnings. Where it says: “DO NOT MIX WITH CHLORINE BLEACH!”. When the two mix together a toxic gas forms that could kill you. I know I nearly killed myself. If my in-laws would not have come home when they did I would be dead. It took about 6 hours to air the house out with all windows and doors open and fans on.
Please don't ever mix Bleach and any dish soap together.
From someone that did it, but lived to tell the tale, because of loving in-laws.
Take care, stay safe, have a nice day.
      👵☺️✌️☮️🖖 😷 🙉🙈🙊
BTW, use a few drops of Dawn dish soap, and a sprinkle to a teaspoon full of Baking Soda, and a microfiber cloth to wipe out the container. Let it sit for 15 minutes, then wash in scalding hot dish water, rince in scalding hot water as well. Should come completely clean, from spaghetti sauce stains. Good luck.

      @@thomaspinter5352 Hi!
      You are most welcome!
If I can prevent what happened to me from happening to someone else, it's worth reading tons of comments.
You can mix a few drops of Dawn and white distilled vinegar to clean with, with a little water. Or you can mix few drops of Dawn and peroxide to clean with.
My mother has asthma and COPD, and she cleans with these without it triggering an attack like most store bought cleaners do to her.
Either one of those cleaners I mentioned, only mix up what you can use on the same day. They don't keep well, they loose effectiveness. I just use small spray bottles, like 12 ounce ones. Try the Dollar Tree for small spray bottles. One bottle for each kind of mix, and label well, no cross contamination.
      Hope this helps.
Take care, stay safe, have a nice day.
