I appreciate you take the time to share these toys with us. Another option would be to chop the bacon, cook it on the right, add the egg to the bacon & scramble it. Use regular “sandwich bread” to make your sandwich on the sandwich maker side with your ketchup, the egg & bacon… I’d add some cheese. I’d also butter or use cooking spray to facilitate browning of the sandwich.
Squush the lid all the way down. Hold it down a few seconds and release. You will have the nice indentations you wanted. My wife and I were given a HomeTrends sandwich maker 36 years ago. We love it and we use it every week. We make grilled cheese sandwiches and peanut butter sandwiches. Ham sandwiches also work well.
Not really relevant but the sandwich maker jogged my memory - I worked at a deli on a resort one summer and we made panini sandwiches. One day goofing off I made a peanut butter and banana panini - it was delicious!❤
you could also make a poach egg in the side area... crack an egg into side area and just as soon as the white part of the egg starts to turn white then pour/add 2 Table spoons water into poached egg area then put on lid and cook till the whites of egg are completely set thats your poached egg...
For the amount of wattage this uses, it doesn’t seem powerful to cook well. I think 2 dash mini gadgets would use less and produce better and faster. There’s a nostalgia my mini skillet noodle maker that you may like. It’s like the griddle half with a shallow pot and lid.
I have yet to see an actual sandwich made in the sandwich maker. Do you make a sandwich, and toast it that way? Looks like it would be difficult if it won't toast one piece of bread, won't even close on that. I have Nostalgia's Blackberry mini noodle cooker which pretty much saved me some $$$ when I got snowed in at work a couple of years ago.
You and me both like the same things, like, I don’t like the bacon grease and I like ketchup on eggs. But I saw some guy complaining about ketchup on eggs and I can’t figure understand why they don’t care for it. I guess we are kind of cut from a similar mold. I am from Long Island in New York and I don’t know where you are from but I think it might be a regional type of thing. Sort of like how people from New Jersey like this stuff called pork roll that I don’t really like that much. I am sure there’s other people who like fried baloney more than I do haha and they probably like it in the breakfast that they make.
@@CounterCookingI guess every state has its attributes and detractors, my godfather was from New Jersey and he always said the most beautiful thing he’d ever seen was New Jersey in his rear view mirror! I will say that the only cockroach I’ve ever seen outside of a zoo exhibit was in a hotel in New Jersey.❤

The lid alone will not depress the bread. You need to squush it so that the lid touches the body of the appliance.

Have you ever tried cooking a grands frozen biscuit in one of the appliances? Not the toaster oven, but the pie maker or the egg bite maker?
This is a cool little cooker. Adding a little plain Greek yogurt to eggs will help the eggs be fluffier.
Or just a tablespoon or two of water makes them fluffier as well.

What if you use regular shaped white or wheat bread

Now I'm craving a breakfast sandwich. 😋
I like the idea of adding jam to my breakfast sandwich. I’m going to try it next time.
I love your videos

I ordered a folding tea kettle from Temu and it works too.
Yep! I bought that too. Use it in my hotel travels all the time! Thanks, TEMU!
I would have cut the bread in triangles before toasting and cracked an egg into one of the wells.
You've convinced me. I'm not buying it. 🙂

I’m from Long Island also and currently live in New Jersey. I tried pork roll once and was not a fan. I’m also not a fan of New Jersey. lol.
@@CounterCookingWe are definitely cut from the same mold haha 😅❤

What was the pan of water for?
You might try putting the lid on upside down to help it fit.
You should review the sharp carousel microwave 😀
I don’t use microwaves.
@@CounterCooking Interesting 🤔
Hm. It's cute, but I don't think I'll add it to my stash of small devices.
❤👍
I’ll stick with Dash pieces. Granted I don’t have a sandwich maker like that as I’ve got Mom’s old one.
If a person is into "portion control" it would be beneficial to maintain weight.
The thumbnail on Amazon certainly is a joke. This unit is no longer available. Maybe they watched your review and are modifying it?
No thank you. 😮
Looks like TOO MUCH TROUBLE to me!!!😢
Too much trouble for what???
