Wallace Wattles who was the granddaddy of the American "New Thought - Self help" movement of the 19th century took Hindu thought verbatim and mapped it to Western needs. He took great pains to cloak the "woo-woo" (Hindu) implications but to his credit, admitted briefly that the knowledge had Hindu origins.

Europeans have no shame of living out of stolen properties from elsewhere,it seems. They commenced it with the early form of pirate ships and their well known activities! It was materials they had stolen to begin with that they then extended it to other areas of knowledge as with astronomy, mathematics, medicine and philosophy. The latest area they encroached upon is the area of consciousness that the Vedic Sanatanis deliberated clearly long ago!

When we truly understand the ultimate reality and the human mind, we can see that both Aurobindo's and Wilber's philosophies are actually quite simple and elegant.
The human mind, being a vast and complex universe in itself, offers insights into the nature of reality when we explore its depths.
Similarly, the outer universe, comprising the natural world and the cosmos, is equally vast and complex, and understanding its workings can reveal profound truths about existence.
By recognizing the interconnectedness of the inner and outer universes, we can see that both Aurobindo's and Wilber's philosophies ultimately converge on the same truth: consciousness is the fundamental aspect of existence, pervading all of reality.
    God bless, 'Thankyou ☝️🙏

have you been watching the same video? The point is that these are not Ken Wilber’s philosophies, they originated from our great sages, including Ramakrishna, Vivekananda and Sri Aurobindo.

Don't worry, I'd like to add that as humans, we all build upon each other's knowledge and understanding. We learn from one another, add our own unique perspectives, and create our own distinct views, which ultimately become our individuality.
See the issue lies not in the borrowing of ideas, but rather in the lack of acknowledgment and appreciation for the knowledge we inherit from others.
Let's focus on recognizing and respecting the intellectual lineage, while also celebrating our own contributions to the collective wisdom. Thankyou ☝️🤍🙏

    Forget Wilber, forget Aurobindo.
Knowledge for Consciousness is buried below the doorsteps of Vatican's Abrahamism.
(Just like MUzlims buried Idols below Mosk's doorsteps.)
All freethinkers should ask why Abrahamic stuff totally IGNORED ancient Indian philosophy that was the envy of all the world's great minds! Did Abrahamism suddenly took humans out of darkness or derailed them Spiritually? For me, the answer is simple and BEYOND debate just like Hinduism is not based on "theories" but lived experiences. ( For those in doubt, I did have metaphysical experiences that simply puts this "modern-Westernised" world to shame.)

I am sorry to say that neither Wilber 3 to 5 models were discussed. Nor Rajiv Malhotra's U Turn Theory is discussed.

I would like add i am an aspiring philosopher and consider myself continuing in the line (not lineage) of Kapila, in that i believe i can apply Samkhya to contemporary philosophy and science and further its progress, leading to real world and practical results. I did my ungrad dissertation on Samkhya and QM and I am desirous of doing my PhD on the same when i feel I am ready.
But where can i do this other than at a Western university ? Since Samkhya -Yoga -Vedanta are the domain of religion, i cannot do that in an Indian context. Nor are Indian universities equipped or carry the same influence to do research there. It seems only Western universities is where the cutting edge research of consciousness studies etc is taking place and all the important scholars, philosophers and scientists are working there and producing discourse there. So it makes sense i do my research at a Western university and within the Western academic system.
My point -- if we want Indian knowledge to be relevant, we must participate in modern philosophy and science --- not sit on the sidelines crying foul that they stole our knowledge. Modern academia is supposed to be a neutral and secular field , even though it is dominated by the West. But it is the modern kurukshetra where Indian and Western scholars will fight it out. Indians need to come to the battlefield, which means they must first enter the academic field.
