Lawrence visits the WINOOSKI ONE project to learn how the lift at the salmon hole dam, has helped salmon return to their spawning grounds after 200 years. Multiple dams and popluation had decimated Vermont salmon populations. But thanks to this “trap and truck” program along with some strategic stocking, salmom are migrating and spawning on their own.

From what I understand, atlantic salmon don't die after spawning, but return to the sea. Are these adult salmon able to make it downstream to Lake Champlain safely?

I grew up on this river. I am 59 now. In my best non science based guess. 55-90 % plus return multiple times. But what do i know.
