The wish wasn't the best for my teenager in a wheelchair. Great with the water slide, but the carpet was very hard to get him around in. Narrow hall ways were rough also. But nothing can take the Disney Fun away from our son. He made the most of it and the workers did their best to help all they could. We are going on the Disney Treasure, because he wants to see if they made improvements. He also will be 18 by then and be able to do the Palo brunch with us.
So nice to see an accessible room. I have wanted to cruise but need mobility assistance so it is great to see what they have for accommodations. Not too many vloggers cover accessibility.
Hi Susan, The Disney crew was amazing for me when we were on The Dream. I Will be showing an ADA room on the 8th floor come Nov. on The Wish. We can't wait!
My daughter broke her leg and it required her to be in a wheelchair (same cruise as Kyle) Disney did an exceptional job accommodating her. We didn't change rooms bc I can still carry her to move her around as she needed, however everything else they were so thoughtful on.
My husband is wheelchair dependent quadriplegic and we can't cruise unless we have an accessible room. It is usually almost impossible to get an accessible room unless we book over a year ahead of time. It is disappointing to see Disney would give an accessible room to people who don't need the facilities.

Next time you guys do a Disney cruise you should do a staycation at a Disney resort the night prior so you can take advantage and cover the transportation from Disney resorts to the ship! It’s awesome they take your luggage directly from your hotel room to cruise ship room and the bus over is always a fun way to start the cruise! Love today’s video tho! Have fun guys!

On our first cruise ever also being the Disney wish with my kid in December we happened to sit next to the guy performing as oaken family when they were first seeing him perform ever on the ship it was beautiful how supportive they were ❤️ Disney is the best we will never cruise anything else

I gotta say--thanks for showing the ADA room. I've never actually seen one and have been wondering about just HOW accessible it is. Because, you know, there's accessible and then there's "accessible".
I am surprised they would give an accessible room to someone who doesn't need it. My husband is wheelchair dependent and we can't cruise without an accessible room. We usually need to book over a year out due to the limited availability of accessible rooms.

@@BeautifulWaterWeaver I may have to contact Disney Cruise lines and ask how they vet people who book accessible rooms. We have sailed with Royal Caribbean numerous times and if we book an accessible room we have to complete forms verifying my husband's needs. I just hope a disabled person wasn't denied this room that they got.

How did you get an ADA room? It is hard for us to get an ADA room for our son in the wheelchair. You were blessed on your birthday, but they are a little more expensive.
He explained it in the video. And no, he didn't deprive anyone of a room.
@@peaceful525saw that afterwards, but then she said it was full. I know that he would never deprive anyone from that room. It was a great blessing for his birthday.
When you do a guaranteed room, you don't get to choose. You are just assigned the room by Disney (other cruise lines do this as well) and since no one booked this room, they got lucky!

It seems most of the vacations they take are done over weekends, so she probably only uses 2-3 days at a time.
Depends on her job but I get 5 weeks paid vacation with my job so I am always going away but sometimes I look like I go away a lot to people due to taking say a Thursday Friday (2) vacation days then Saturday Sunday and I’m back to work Monday
Some jobs you can just get lots of time and you're manager is flexible but alot would get fired if doing this
It was a weekend cruise. Friday Sat. Sun.
I get one week, and lucky that I get that, so I have to do weekends and long holiday weekends
