my usual combo is started by pressing skill 2 from the bush, walk to your opponent, use skill 1 and ulti. if they're not dead repeat the skill 2 and 1 combo. this strat allows you to land all the projectile from skill 2 and skill 1 perfectly since it'a at close range they can't do anything about it. if you get hit with cc, skill 2 will still land anyways. the worst part is you're fighting mostly on mid and close range as a mage and vulnerable. possible duet is with johnson. he crash his car, you do skill 2-1-3, and escape immediately because surviving enemy will try to throw their skills at you after johnson crashed. this works best on lower ranks like mythic legend and epic. on higher ranks there's better heroes to use and i don't think picking cyclops is a good idea.
That's a great combo, I do that as well, and when I'm up against squishy enemies which I know I can one shot, I usually use ult first so that they won't be able to escape, and they usually get bursted down, And Cyclops ult is really good in my opinion, Because even if u can't kill the enemy, You can ult on them and while they get immobilized, your teammates can finish them off
And I do agree with you, Cyclops isn't a very good pick on higher ranks, Especially against tanky heroes, But if you know what you're doing, you can still pull it off using Cyclops on high ranks, Unless your Betosky, players need to be hella Good to use Cyclops in Glory and above🤣

I just bought Cyclops last week and i can tell the enemies always target lock me and he is easy to kill, especially if you rotate to other lanes and there's no one to back you up, and the team is way behind.

I use Cyclops quite often and he’s my favourite and main character in the game. I tried using him during my time learning and had a ton of fun playing him. He is weak at the start and does take time to get good. But during mid and end game he is strong. He is a cute mage, but don’t let his appearance fool you. He is powerful once he got his core item and full build.

When that little handsome guys gets his cote item he is a beast. His damage is very high and hard to stop when snowballing.

You need to keep some distance between u and the enemies when playing, keep poking the enemies, and once they have low hp, you can fully engage

Both are good, it depends on ur play style and preference, if you are a little inexperienced go mid lane, but if you are good with Cyclops you can go jungle
