Thanks so much for making this video, it was really well explained and to the point (very German, lol) Quick question - I've seen some guides that recommend adding a signature at the end of your leibenslaf. Is that a good idea?
Oh, and another question, my speciality is adventure tourism. There is no way a suit and tie photograph would sit with this. In any case, this kind of photograph just does not fit with my personality. I have it at the moment as part of my website as I used to specialise in legal and financial translation, but it is just not ME. Would you advise having a more casual photograph, for a German CV or none at all?
My relevant experience is all over the place. Some from 2007-2009, again from 2012 - 2014 and again from 2018 onwards. In the intervening periods I've been stuck in low-level jobs I'm not particularly keen to advertise, especially as I now want to set up as a self-employed translator. The only reason I want a German CV is to stand out from the crowd when applying to translation agencies or to direct clients. How do you advise dealing with this kind of problem?
Very helpful video, thank-you. One question - if someone has played multiple roles in one company and also worked in 2-3 other companies, what should they focus on?
Hallo Shailesh, generally speaking two columns resumes are acceptable but they may cause issues with ATS. You can learn more here: th-cam.com/video/94qvs-MtgWk/w-d-xo.html

Hello Meetra. Thank You for the video. I really appreciate your efforts. I just have a small doubt. Currently I am pursuing Master's but I have a work experience of 2 years which I have gathered before pursuing Master's. And before gathering the work experience, I completed my Bachelor's. So what should I first mention in the CV? My education (as it is the latest thing I am doing in my life) or my past experience? Thanks You!

Hi, thanks for your comment :-) I think adding a signature is not a must but it does add a kind of personal touch to your Lebenslauf.

Are two column Resume formats acceptable in Germany or one should stick to single column?
