I have used one to strap on a golf cart for a couple of years. It was perfect for that purpose. I could strap it on the roof support beam or on the steering wheel. Another golf friend said he syncs 2 of them together for both sides of the golf cart and it's like having a portable "stereo". However the party ended when the strap broke, as mine did. So I'm left with throwing it in the little glove box cove where it still sounds ok, but not nearly as good. Bose really needed to design it so the rubber strap could be replaced. Surprising that Bose did not engineer for what is an obvious foreseeable wear and tear problem. And I have not found any practical work around. Bose, are you listening? 🤨
I thought the one cool thing they were going to showcase is the micro-USB port! That's so cool, considering the cutting-edge nature of the port and the fact that this video is shot in 2017 nearly 3 years after the first introduction of USB-C. This is sooooooooooooo cool. Oh, and it has pretty good bass too.
Guy's... it's not always about price. This speaker is now $99 and can be found for $89, btw. It is incredibly convenient for travel and can easily be slipped into a laptop case. It is by far the best sounding micro sized speaker on the market. Bottom line... it is super cool and a bargain at $99 for what you are getting. I own much, much better sounding larger speakers, but I would not compare this to any of them. I have a JBL Clip and it cannot compare to this speaker.

@BanBan No, compared to the jbl clip 2 or 3, then yes but if you're willing to spend a bit more for a jbl flip 5 then no. Right now jbl has it's flip 5 for 90 while bose has it's speaker for 80.
I have two of them to play in stereo. It’s great. And they were currently on sale as of this post! I love them at the beach and the shower or bathroom.

I own the Soundlink Micro and use it with Siri all the time. Despite what they say, I think that qualifies it as a smart speaker! Furthermore, they don't even mention that the speaker also functions as a speaker phone. Which is definitely worth noting. As far as price goes, one of their biggest gripes is the so called "Bose Tax." By that, I take it they mean the premium price paid for nothing more than the name. Well, I got mine off Amazon for $69--$40 less than they quoted. Yes there are cheaper mini speakers on the market, but the Bose Soundlink Micro is a bomber that is going to last me years--not some cheap piece of junk that is going to die in a year or two. What they refer to as the "Bose Tax" I simply respond--Quality! You get what you pay for! When asked "Who is this speaker for?" These guys don't even frequent travelers. This little speaker solves my problem for carrying a high quality speaker in my suitcase. This little sucker is so useful and well built It will stand up to years of hard use on the road. Getting Siri and a speaker phone in the package makes this product worth every nickel. At home, I retired my Bose Wave Radio III because it became redundant. When you watch TH-cam for reviews, sometimes you have to take them with a grain of salt. This review is a good example.

They don't know if you hold down the center button, and Siri or Alexa comes on, I think that's a smart speaker?? And these guys didn't even know that Bose makes many different sized Sound Touch speakers that play over Wi-Fi throughout your whole house. you could put a speaker in every room of your home, or outdoors as well, on wifi!! The JBL clip isn't even in the same league of speakers as this, they failed to mention the Bose connect app, which allows you to link it to another micro sound link or any combination to several other Bose Bluetooth speakers, including, Bose color ll, both sizes of the sound link Revolve. Two of these micros would rip in party or stereo mode. I'm gonna grab a pair and strap em to the oh yes handles of my Toyota 4x! These guys don't know squat about Bose speakers, they like cheap junk. You get two of those linked together, and they won't be saying no bass!

I brought this speaker despite ben&jerry's butter pecan review/ I'm blown away by this device and I've always trusted Bose and once again I'm pleased/I Just can't believe how bose designs are so (never over the top simple )but yet once you give any of there products a try you're are hooked/ I also have to say how much thought they put into making sure everyone of it's products are convienent in every way/ think about it /it's already small and pocket sized and that was great and then to add a strap and that was great and then to add quality sound when its all the way turned up and if that wasn't enough they decided to add great bass /these are a lot of the things we want in a speaker but you normally don't get it / these men and women at Bose must work through there lunch because once again they have broken the tape first. Oh and did I mention the different colors or should say like ben&Jerry the different flavors ha!
I got mine earlier today and I love it. Definetly more rugged than my mini deuce. I love them both! I also have the new aiwa Bluetooth speaker! That thing roars! Great stuff! I love Bluetooth technology! Thanks guys Ps. I think we found Mr Ernst junior on the left! Lol j/k! Be honored! Mr Ernst was an awesome dude! I'm sure he has a Bluetooth now too 😂
