    😮My heart was (briefly) in my mouth at 4'43" when you both did the quick in and out slalom, enormously helped by the Insignia driver stopping at just the right spot to give you a safe margin to pass.

    Saw the first vid, Chris, and this one is much improved. The picture is clearer, the sound is clearer, there's no stuttering on the vid from being in the darker parts. Great job and as always, your driving is impeccable. I wish everyone on the road drove with the skill that you have. Maybe we should make drivers take a blue light driving course as part of their license...

    Another great video, and excellent coordination between with lead car not getting too far ahead .... massive kudos for leaving the 'boot moment' in the video (had a similar moment myself with locker on a fire appliance.. very embarrassing when we arrived and found it...) .... on the side, some telemetry would be interesting if possible/allowed... 😎😎

    Great quality video.
    Great driving.
    At 04:48 that was smart positioning by the Kia driver. Most cars (correctly) move to nearside and slow/stop. He got out of the way quickly and put his car on the central chevrons, allowing the emergency vehicles better visibility on the gradual open left and a straighter run through. Very nice situational awareness. Generally, it is far better to move left and stop. Going right can go badly wrong, as with the BMW 5 series in the linked video, but this driver actually did a nice job.
    Also impressive how quickly you caught up after sorting out the boot problem! 😅

    The difference in visibility between oncoming car one (lights ON) and oncoming car two (lights OFF) is striking.
    I know the human eye will comensate better than the camera but, tricky to see some vehicles, in deep shadows.

    Again a fantastic video showing true driving skills Chris!! 👍👍 Think you've said in a previous video that your maximum speed is 100mph but in this instance if the traffic car (???) is doing a higher speed (100 mph+) along the dual carriageway can you up your speed to match or are you still restricted (wrong word to use!!) to your limit??

  • @literalantifaterrorist4673
    @literalantifaterrorist4673 ปีที่แล้ว

    Quick question! What kind of calls are you generally going to, with such response times? RTCs or other incidents that would cause a long scene time? Because in critical calls requiring the immediate assistance of a doctor, with such a response time here in the US we’d just scoop them up and run to the hospital.

    if you'd have the HiLo siren it'd likely be easier since it can be heard from furter away than the wail, it's also more chill, so less panic inducing and you can tell better from what direction it's coming

  • @Zeales

    Much better, however, the bitrate still seems to be on the low side (see the pixelation). In your video output before you render your video, you can adjust it there. For 1080p, youtube recommends 15Mbps for 60fps video - Though, you'd probably prefer to be in the 20-25Mbps range, at the cost of longer rendering time.

    • @techheck3358
      @techheck3358 ปีที่แล้ว

      youtube recommends 15mbps for HDR video. i doubt any dashcam on the market can do hdr. for sdr it recommends 12. that itself is then re-encoded by youtube, to 8-10mbps.

    • @Zeales
      @Zeales ปีที่แล้ว

      @@techheck3358 There are plenty of dashcam that supports that - Alternatively, there are several options available from GoPro that can easily be mounted as a dashcam.

    • @findthebadger418
      @findthebadger418 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So there is usually an APP-CC in the control room who will monitor and listen to incoming calls and make the decisions where to send resources.
      If they’re on their way to something but something else comes in that may require their additional skills more - then they will be diverted to that other incident etc

      Siren control is through the horn on the steering wheel so the driver doesn't have to take their hands off of it to mess with a control board in the middle, taking their eyes off of the road in the process at those speeds.

    • @YB210
      @YB210 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The traffic cop might not have looked as smooth but their driving was very impressive. Motorway entry and exit precision, clearly an advanced Police driver. Chris was on point too as usual, he is just trained a little differently to the traffic officer's, hence some of the almost aggressive looking maneuvers of the Police (who will have pursuit training amongst things).
      I'm surrounded you probably understand this but others may not and see the Police style as too rash compared to Chri's more graceful appearing control.
