I intend to bring it back! I’m working on some storylines and I want the style to be drawn in 80’s and 90’s style anime. Possibly the best one will be a Godzilla anime I’m working on. It’ll feature many classic monsters fans will know and very few original monsters so that the nostalgia will kick in. I’ve also been gathering the soundtracks from the old movies too. Fingers crossed you will see this style of anime again.
Yep this is the Japanese anime, Cyber city oedo, Midnight City, Ghost in the Shell SAC, OVA and 2nd movie, Ninja Scroll, Paprika, Neo Tokyo, Bubblegum crisis, Akira. All these are fcking hand drawn passionate top class anime which is never going to come back, that era has passed.

That means that all of the storyboards and illustrations were all produced in the decade prior, and all of its inspiration that came with it. If you were around to remember that whole era, you’d recall that most of the iconic styles that modern marketing deems as “80s” didn’t become trends until right at the end of the decade between 89-90. A classic example being neon in a lot of fashion.
