Thank you to all of you amazing people across the world for helping me get this video to 100,000 views. As a person from Houston, TX, this was my first time traveling the UK and London was a placed I dreamed of going to since I was a kid, as well as hearing Big Ben chime in person since this trip was actually a Christmas present from my dad a year before we went, and the fact that just a 80 second unedited and uncut video got this amount of views in just a year and a half after I went to the UK as well as almost 1000 likes is something that truly makes my heart melt. Once again, thank you all sincerely for getting this video this popular for me and I can’t wait to continue watching it grow more and more every day and maybe one day, I’ll hopefully go on another vacation back to the UK. You’re all the best. Also, feel free to subscribe and check out my other videos and livestreams if you want. Anyway, thanks for 100K views and God Bless You. Hehe~ 😊🇬🇧
You welcome you deserve it
Been waiting 5 years for this

do u mean ben waiting lmao
Yeah after the accident in 2018

The pause between the chime and the strike is a matter of how the clock was set up when it was reassembled. The chimes sound great ! Better than ever.
I was there at 9am today, and I would say with pretty high certainty that all the chimes are considerably quieter than they used to be which is a real shame as they don't cut through across the hustle and bustle of Westminster like they once did ...
Yes we noticed that, very disappointing! We recorded them but the seagulls squawking are louder 🤨
Probably because of all the new high rises that interfere with sound propagation
@@namelessguy199 I don't see any high rises on the Thames?!
It’s not actually true I know the people who have fixed it and they are actually louder than they have ever been in living memory I guess it just depends on what day you are there. like I walked past it the other day and there was a protest on so I couldn’t even hear it at the base.
Question from a Canadian who loves England AND who just learned that Big Ben chimes every 15 minutes and every hour................. of every single day....... (sorry here's my question) Doesn't it get annoying? Even an hourly chime alone is a lot. But it chimes every 15 minutes? For eternity? Doesn't it affect people's sleep? Or even their day to day lives?
Been waiting FIVE YEARS for this
Same 😅
I know that throughout the restoration work that Big Ben still rang out at 11am on Remembrance Sunday and Midnight on New Years Eve, but I don't know if it was just the poignancy of Rememberance Sunday, the absence of Her Late Majesty or the whole thing but hearing the Westminster Chines again actually made me cry
Pull yourself together, man. Stiff upper lip and all that.
@ejkalegal3145. Ah I try, but some things just cannot ne suppressed
I never noticed this was the same as Japanese school bells 😂😅 I've been listening it for years and I got it now lol
Perhaps the deep sound made it different for me
There are hundreds of bell towers all around the world that play this tune. I guess you could call them “Little Bens.”
Nothing else sounds like the singular Big Ben.

I like the new clock face. It suits the tower more than the old one.
The most accurate time piece in the world…. An amazing feet of engineering
Another 160 years of London ❤
“Long have I waited”
magnificent! big like
Am I the only one who thinks that the chimes sounded better before they were restored?
Nope I think they sounded better before
Well they sounded wrong
Usually the delay is supposed to match the first strike of the hour
Big Ben (the largest bell) sounds deeper then it used to be.
this is beautiful bud
remember, it is not the tower, it is the bell
indeed
When I travel from Nashville to London about the time I hear Big Ben and go to it Big Ben’s Chimes are gonna remind me of the Nashville United Methodist Churches’s Chimes cause Big Ben’s Chimes have a similar bong to the Nashville United Methodist Churches but a bit more big bells to it
Who remembers when Big Ben chimed awkwardly when a hammer forgot to hit a bell? Back in like the 2000 or even I don’t remember…. 1900’s?
The bell has been broken since 1859 amigo
Amo Londres ❤
Es indescriptible,la historia y la tradición
Nice catch!
A little too fast if you ask me, I need to go back and check some old recordings I have but I think the timing is off. The seconds between the last chime and the strike if Big Ben is closer. and I think the strikes are closer together. Slower between strikes was better IMO!
Man I Miss Queen Elizabeth II As Well
Al fin el big ben volvio a sonar
YAY ITS BACK
Since I was 3 I did not know bigben got renovated
I lived near big ben at 2000 and again in 2006 but now i live near Westminster Bridge at 2019.
I was thinking the rest between the quarters and the hour strike was shortened. On purpose, or an artifact of repairing the mechanicals?
It’s been 5 years
You have been waiting for 20 years huh don’t worry im always here
This feels like a link game where the moon is crashing to earth
First time it ringed for a new monarch in many years
Is it just me or do the new chimes sound noticeably quieter than they did before?
i get what you mean but i dont think
They are naking it sound like it did originaly, it was quiet
@@StainGaming big ben chimed on queen elizabeths funeral
@@nikospodas what has that got to do with what i said
@@nikospodas um...in memory of the queen I guess.
Big Ben is in London England
YaY it back!
There's a weird slowness to the bells striking that you don't hear in the 1986 recording
I find it quite disappointing that the chimes are noticeably quiter. They lack the oomph that they had prior to the restoration.
If that didn't happen, he wouldn't play, as their condition was not good.
Big ben ❤❤

The Big Ben clock tower still looks the same to me.
Morbin’ time
Imagine it played the outro music ☠️
As BIg Ben chimes 10 pm, we can release our exit poll. Ipsops in coordination with BBC, ITV, and Sky spoke with 30,000 people in 212 cotinucines and this is their verdict
Does Big Ben chime throughout the night?
All night? 24/7

I was in there yesterday 😂 🚉
When I’m at my Remembrance Sunday service in Newport, i imagine Big Ben chiming 11am. Remembrance Sunday is always hard for me
And btw it completed when holla hoop in msm
*News at 10 theme plays in the background*
They sound the same
I'm wondering, for those who live in London, how do you sleep with the bell chiming every half hour?
They are used to it, I may not live in London but I have a clock that sounds similar to big Ben and it gets pretty loud at night. The thing is they’re so used to hearing that damn clock that they’re so used to it.
You just sort of adjust to It I guess.
is it me or does it sound louder or weaker?
It sound weaker. I think they've changed the bong
They should have made a another big ben near hyde park, call it little ben, 320 meters high
That was on my birthday
Dont belive me? Check the description
England 🏴
Why do the bells sound different? I don't really remember them sounding like that.
Because the clock movement, bells and hammers have been cleaned and restored. They have also refaced the hammers that strike the bells.
*finally, BEEG BEEN FEENALLY CHEEMS AFTEER FEEVE YEERS*
👍
why does the timing sound a little off tho, like its sped up and out of sync somewhat
This is me in 2024
If this was remembrance Sunday why are people still talking after the cannon fire
I know, I was at my service in Newport and literally no one talked that whole time; I literally heard the chimes in my head when me and Woody.EXE we’re leading Remembrance for the first time as monarchs. Everyone was literally excited to see Woody.EXE make an appearance for the first time since Queen Elizabeth’s funeral but he still sees his people every day as I do. Wales is so respectful
@@nicolelawless9942 Hi Nicole we're you in the Army
@@chrisdawson6156
Oh hell no, I just attend my Remembrance service to pay my respects that’s all
@@nicolelawless9942 oh sorry I thought you were in the Army by the way did you have a nice Christmas
@@chrisdawson6156
Yes, thanks for asking. Now I’m really for New Year’s Eve and Woody.EXE is thinking about joining in the crowd for the first time as my hometown St Julian’s Wales gets extremely crowded and I’m joining him as we bring 2024 in
