This is such great information. On the topic of the pain points, I have a close friend who was working for a start-up company that is currently on the decline. This entire business was built around one specific pain point. However, after talking about it with him for quite some time we came to the realization that the main premise of the company might not have been a valid one from the beginning. The reality was there was no real pain point. The current solution the company was trying to improve on was never surveyed for pain points from real people. This start-up company was simply trying to make their process “better” than the competition. However, they never defined what better meant. If they merely did a couple of interviews with people, they would have gotten a huge insight on the current solution. Not having a defined way to provide a pain reliever, or value proposition not only doesn’t sell but even loses the focus and moral of staff within the company.
0:40 Focus on value proposition: Clearly articulate the unique value your business offers to customers. What problem does your product or service solve? How does it benefit your customers? Your value proposition should be compelling and resonate with your target audience.
Thanks you for this video!. Very nice and clear explanation of this interesting model, that helps the Business model Canvas to improve and define better the 1. Customer Segment and 2. Value proposition. Greeting from Peru. ❤️👏🏻

@@naumankhokhar6471 Sure it is. But it will be more useful if you put both this book and Business Model Generation into practice while you read. Only practice will make this reading worthy. All the best!
Hello Stategyzer has a template for this but I am not able to find a template in a PPT form so that I can use it. Can anyone please assist me with this? thanks and Regards

J. Alejandro Coronado Cuesta comes from Jobs Theory aka Jobs-to-be-Done. Pioneered by Anthony Ulwick and Clayton Christensen. They wrote books on the topic, What Customers Want and Competing Against Luck, respectively. A job is basically persistent struggle need, struggle, or problem. Like needing to Shave or struggling to maintain a healthy lifestyle. What to do with freetime. Etc. Jobs actually have 3 dimensions, not that they come in 3 discrete categories as explained here; functional, social, and personal/ emotional. A good solution (product or service) is hired by customers and addresses all 3 of these components. That's about as good of a summary as I'm willing to give rn without writing a couple pages. I really suggest searching TH-cam for more info and/or reading the books listed above.
@@iluvcakes19 Break Jobs into steps. Steps of the process to reach a goal in Columns, What the think, feel, say and do in Row. You will find the pain points, and call this table Situation As-Is. Then repeat, only this time it is Situation To-Be, meaning solution that you have to solve your customer segments problems. Use empathy map to know your users. Then this Canvas, and then move on to the Business model canvas. Sorry writing in a rush.
Matthew Samuel thanks for the instruction. It couldn't be anymore timely! I appreciate it. You sound like you have some experience with this. Would you mind talking to me more about this offline? I'm really trying grasp and apply these concepts and could use some coaching. Will you help me?
Thx for the upload, just as a suggestion it would be great if there was an example of value proposition canvas on airline industry or travel solutions....

Amazing system to work out a positive plan/model to use.
Thank you! A first for me!
Thank you for providing this concise summary of the VP canvas. Very helpful.
Loving their stuff since 2011! Wonderful storytelling... one of the best explainer videos I've seen yet.

Thanks for the VP video. I didn't get to learned from my lecturer last session and the materials are almost the same and easy to understand!
I'd add that you would rank the customer's jobs, pains and gains to focus on achieving a fit for the most important aspects.
I Agree
Great video, with an actual business example would be more clear.
